Wish tag with Scrapmatts

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Scrapmatts October inspiration.
Today it's all about tags.
I made one single fancy and colorful chipboard tag and then made two more fancy tags in a totally different shabby style.
So here is the first tag and it's all about a Wish upon the stars.

The background was made with a few of our Scrapmatts stencils using texture paste and when it was dry it was misted and painted all over so you can see the outlines of the small stars and dots, but not the whole background.
Then the large circles chipboard and some of the stars were painted with yellow and gold acrylic paint  and some more Scrapmatts pieces were painted with a mix of blues.

The chipboard word Wish was painted with Magenta  paint and a lot of the same paint splashes were added over the piece.
As my final textured embellishments I added a mix of seed beads inside the chipboard pieces.

Scrapmatts products used to make this tag:

Triangles 03 CB5158
Nested stars 07CB5021
Assorted words 29 CB6116
Circles 02cb 5152

Anything goes with Topflight stamps

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my last October Topflight blog post.
This is a kind of " make whatever you want" week and I decided to make a card and even to add some step by step written tutorial, but without step by step photos.
So here is a card I made with this gorgeous IndigoBlu stamp set- Floral Fantasy. As you can see the main image was stamped 3 times on the same size of white cardstock die cut front and then die cut again and again to arrange this three layers card.

So here is the step by step tutorial and I hope that it's pretty easy to understand and to make the similar card.
Here is my step by step tutorial:

1. Use Misti (must do thing when doing layered and die cut technique).
Arrange IndigoBlu  flower stamp and stamp over the die cut card front three times with black pigmented ink (Memento Luxe).
2. Heat emboss all three stamped pieces with clear embossing powder (WOW! Embossing Powders).
3. Use Stitched Rectangles Elizabeth's Crafts die set and die cut each stamped front .I used every second size of the dies (#3-5-7) to die cut the stamped images. Now you have a frame and the stamped image die cut piece for each frame.
4. Glue the stamped die cuts as shown: use the third negative- the smallest die and the largest frame as your base and then arrange all three die cut shapes over this frame.
5. Color the images in all three layers with Zig Real Brush colors as shown.
6. Mist the background with Lindy's Stamp Gang mist . Stamp the sentiment over the separate cardstock piece, mist and hand cut it and glue as shown. I used the sentiment from For the Love of Stamps Barrow in Bloom set.
7. Add some rhinestones.

And this is the stamp set used to make this card:

I really hope that you like my small card tutorial and remember that this can be done with any other big stamp you can find in Topflight shop.
See you next week with another Topflight shop inspiration!

Halloween with Tando

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Tando inspirational post.
We are close to the Halloween and this is our scary week here on Tando blog.
So let me show you my Halloween project made with gorgeous Tando products for this week:

As you can see I used Tando Halloween arch set and the skeleton together with the Voodoo mask and a lot of DecoArt Media line products.
First I painted all layers of the arch. Then I added the masked image inside the arch using copper paint mixed with glitter and even added some copper embossing powder into it.
The image was heat embossed and then the white painted skeleton was added over it.
First I covered the skeleton with clear glaze and when it was dry I added splashes of different acrylics over the whole piece.

It's a very easy to make Halloween decoration and you don't need to be the Mixed Media specialist to make the similar project in no time.

Here is a list of Tando products used to make this project:

Song of Ice and Fire altered canvas

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Mixed Media canvas post.
This pretty large canvas was made as a tribute to one of most favorite books- Song of Ice and Fire (also most of us know it as the most famous TV production named " The Game of Thrones").
I am a big fan of all things fantasy and SF and everything that maybe is not real, but makes me happy to watch or to read it.
So I made it for a couple of web challenges and you can see the challenges under the project photos.
As you can see it has the vintage Mixed Media background made with stencils, texture paste, Prima Mixed Media products , Tattered Angels  paints and mists.
Then I added the smaller altered canvas over the large one and then the tag was added with the chipboards ad trinkets cluster and the saying.
Actually I used a lot of products over this canvas: painta, mediums, waxes, micro beads, silk and paper flowers, chipboards, metal pieces, cardstock die cuts, foil transfers, stencils, lace, chain, wires and even this fabolous jewelry ice drop on the front.
And I even used nver used old brads to make the grid background to look as the wooden pieces connected in this oldfashioned style.

I made this project for a couple of web challenges:
Favortie book for Canvas Corp- my inspiration came from old books with vintage looks, journal cover on the bottom and general colors.

Fantasy for Mixed Media and Art- my inspiration came from the theme and gold splashes and general fantasy look of this canvas.

Trip of a lifetime altered canvas

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Today I am going to share my new Mixed Media canvas that I made for .... Not for any of my design teams and just for a fun!
Yes- sometimes I have spare time and hopeful now I have a bit more of this rare  for me thing.
So this is  a " Trip of a Lifetime" altered Steampunk /Vintage style project and I made it for a couple of web challenges.
The central cluster was made with wooden pieces, Prima molds, metal trinkets and a lot of paints and waxes from Prima.
The first challenge is for Dusty Attic and they asked to work with their products (all chipboards are from this company) in a vintage kind of style. My inspiration came from the clock and general background on the bottom and the vintage look of the moodboard.

I also made this for the Words and Paintery challenge using the colors the  general " be creative " words.

Dream Travel altered printers tray with BoBunny

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here and today I am going to share my altered wooden printers tray that I made with BoBunny new and most gorgeous Penelope collection.

This 12*12'' wooden tray was already embellished once and was dirty white.
I decided to make the new tray as my small tribute to our trips to some not so known countries and the first step was to paint it to dark brown with the touch of gold.
I used Pentart Primer for Decor paint as the first layer and then painted with brown Decor paint and added some top touches of Creamy Acrylic Baroque Gold and now the tray was ready to be embellished.
The printers tray is a kind of Project Life blank canvas. So I decided to make " a page" from out trip to Albania.
I am not going to tell you a story of this small and unknown and still deeply communist county, but just to show our own photos and a bit of the country around.
The colors of Penelope collection where just the perfect fit to my photos that were mainly natural, blue and green.
Each cardstock piece was cut to fit the tray slot and then embellished with die cuts, hand cuts, wooden shapes, flowers and rhinestones.
Here are some close- ups to the slots:

As you can see  I also embellished over the tray to add more interest and more texture to the simple designs of the slots.

All wooden and chipboard shapes were painted with the same Baroque Gold Acrylic paint.

Small die cuts were added as  the extra over the tray embellishments.

Here you can see the depth of the tray and the imperfect painting inside the tray that was made in purpose to imitate the old wood.

BoBunny flowers and die cuts made the most beautiful edge spot on the whole tray.
Here is the full BoBunny and Pentart long product list:
BoBunny products:
Penelope collection- 12*12'' cardstock- Penelope Live, Penelope Love, Penelope Abbey, Penelope Grace, Penelope Laugh, Penelope Journal, Penelope Dots

Butterflies with Topflight stamps

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Topflight  blog post.
Today I am going to share the 8*8'' Mixed Media canvas made with most gorgeous Katzelkraft Butterflies stamp set and I am going to show  you a few stamping techniques while working over the Mixed Media canvas project.
First I added the background texture with texture paste and stencils (Tando Creative UK) and glued a few cardstock pieces with DCWV old cardstock collection.
Then the whole piece was painted with DecoArt acrylic paints.
It's almost impossible to stamp over this heavy textured canvas, so I stamped the flowers stamps from the same stamp set over the white tissue paper and glued them on the bottom of the canvas with gel medium.

Now I decided to stamp over small flowers and butterflies bare chipboards and I just used the large stamps and stamped on the chipboards " as is". I used black pigmented ink (Memento Luxe) and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
Then I colored the heat embossed chipboards with more acrylic paint and you can see that the butterflies are pretty much similar to the large ones on the bottom even with this partial stamping due the chipboard shapes size.

The sentiment is the most gorgeous Rubber Dance one and I hand cut it to the strips to make the " canvas look" for the sentiment.

Then two large and full size butterflies were stamped, colored and glued over the canvas.

Here are the stamps used to make this project:

I really hope that you liked my weekly inspiration post today and as you know all stamps are in the Topflight shop waiting for you !
See you next week for more Topflight inspiration!
