Find your Yellow Brick road with Rubber Dance stamps

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new May  projects made with Rubber Dance fabulous  stamps! This page was already print published in December 2015 issue of  Craft Stamper UK magazine and this is a time to share it in my blog  and in Rubber Dance blog too.
This is a separate art journal piece that will be made later into a book, but for now I just collect the separates and it's better way to take a good photos of those art pieces.
So this is my version of the Yellow Brick road thing; the road that if you follow it , it takes  you home.
I used a few stencils from Tando Creative with a lot of texture paste to make the background and even heat embossed the yellow bricks. Then I stamped a lot of Rubber Dance flowers from Antique Flowers set over the tissue paper and glued them with Gel Medium. This is the only way to stamp over this very textured background. The upper butterflies from the same stamp set were stamped over the piece as this part was empty from texture paste. The whole piece was painted with Gelatos, mists and distress inks and a few chipboard pieces were added over it: the couple that are looking for their  way and the home on the top.
The waved saying was added with some small round letter stickers around the path.

I really hope  that you like this piece of art! See you soon again with more projects.

Dream in color art pages with Tando

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my Peel it back Tando weekly post.
I am not really sure what this challenge we - the DT girls- got; so I decided to peel the paint over my double art journal spread and I made this using acrylic paints and pure medical Vaseline (I think in USA they call it Petroleum). I used a few of Tando  stencils to make this page and it's really " stencils only" art adventure.
The left page was made with Tornado stencil and texture paste and then I used Gelatos to color over the dry paste. I added this Tando Speech Bubble chipboard with my own hand writing on both pages and added a bit of golden mist all over the finished pages.

The right page was made with two stencils: the  Giovanna -Glasses and the Giovanna- Eighties stencils.  Same technique and the result is so much different! I peeled some paints mostly over this page and even over the girls image; as you most probably imagine Vaseline just resist the acrylics and we can wipe the paint from the covered sides with a dry paper towel.

Enjoy life's simple pleasures with TPD

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my first May post with new Two Paper Divas stamps.
Lately I am in love with this minimalistic clean and simple style and I really love those new TPD stamps that make it possible. So here is my new card:

Also the background has 4 layers, the stamping is just on the side and the sentiment is so small and simple that it makes this card a real CAS one.
I stamped with black pigmented ink using this new Enjoy simple life pleasures set and heat embossed with clear powder.
Then I colored the flower with white gel pen and added some distress inking over the white petals and inside the vase. I made some pencil shadow on the bottom and added three enamel dots as the only embellishment on this card.

Hope you like my very new CAS style and you love those lovely TPD stamps even more!

WOW! sketch challenge

Hello my dear crafty friends! Today I share a card made with WOW! Embossing powders May sketch. Actually we have 4 different sketches, so this is just one I loved and used for my card.

The basic card is a vellum one. The second layer is the black glitter cardstock. Then I stamped De-Vine stamp using VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with  Bright White Super fine powder.
As the next step I used 4 Gelatos to color the background  under the stamped image and wiped the surface with a baby wipe, so the white image stayed non colored.
Then the whole stamped piece was inked again with the same clear ink and I  heat embossed it all over with Clear  Gloss embossing powder.

The whole double embossed piece was cut to fit the sketch and my card base and glued with 3d foam glue.
I added the sentiment and a few more puffy stickers to make this finished card that is good for anyone and for any occasion.
It's your time to play with our sketches and even to win some great products!

Travel card with Rubber Dance

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Rubber Dance post!
Today it's a simple (not so) card made with a lot of RD stamps and masking techniques.
I used Travel set  and it  all is heat embossed with black powder and then colored with a mix of Gelatos over the card. This is my most loved set of RD stamps. Maybe it's because I love Paris, London and Venice and visited all of those cities several times . Maybe it's just because I love to travel. And maybe it's just because those stamps are THE BEST!

Book card with Rubber Dance

This is my new card made with Rubber Dance delicious stamps , Sizzix embossing folder over metal foil with acrylic paint over it and Tando small arch as a frame for my stamped lady image.

I used Diamonds stamp as a background one. Added Believe in Yourself sentiment from Think Again set and framed the part of frontal woman image from Celestian images. All of those stamped images were colored with distress inks and I also added some delicate chipboard and pearls around this book shaped card.

I used a pre made book shaped card I had in my stash for years, but you can make your own template or to find one on the web .I made this card as a " book of you" kind and it sure can be used as a small notebook cover.
Step by step instructions:
1. Ink the card edges with a mix of red and yellow distress inks.
2. Dry emboss the metal foil panel with Tim Holtz embossing folder  and cut it to two pieces to cover the spine and the front of your card. Distress the embossed foil with sand paper to get this "vintage" metal look.
3. Make the stamped inner panel over cream thick cardstock with Rubber Dance Diamond background and add "Believe in Yourself" sentiment on the bottom. Use clear embossing ink to stamp the images and heat emboss them with black embossing powder. Don't try to be perfect: this is an artistic card and it should look a bit old and non perfect. Color the stamped panel with a mix of red and yellow distress inks and adhere it over the metal front.
4. Stamp the focal woman's image the same way (clear ink and heat embossing) and color it with the same inks. Cut the image to fit the small chipboard arch. Cover the arch with clear embossing ink and heat emboss with black embossing powder. Glue the image on the back and adhere over the card.
5. Ink a piece of fine lacy chipboard and glue it on the left card corner. Add a few pearls over the chipboard.

Supply list:
Cardstock: American Crafts
Stamps: Rubber Dance
Inks: Ranger
Chipboard: Wycinanka, Tando Creative
Pearls: Flourish with a Bling
Embossing folder: Sizzix
Foil: Spellbinders

Other: card

Double embossing technique with Inspired by Stamping

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Today I am going to show a new card made with a technique I didn't try yet: double embossing technique and I mean double heat embossing .

First I stamped the rose image from Flowers Bloom set several times and then heat embossed it with white powder.
Then I colored the background with Gelatos to this 7 colors rainbow background . Sometimes it's just done this way, but today I decided to cover the whole panel with clear embossing powder and to heat emboss it again with clear embossing powder. This added a lot of extra color to the background and even made  the small water drops texture (hard to see from the photos, but very well seen at person). I stamped the small sentiment  from the new, Flower of the Month: Pansy stamp set on the corner and added black glitter matting to my rainbow card panel.

CAS Happy Birthday card with IBS

Hello my dear friends!
Today I am going to show you my new Clean and Simple card made with Inspired by Stamping gorgeous set from the last release.

CAS card means one layer, stamping, sentiment and an easy coloring and it usually should take 10-20 minutes and be possible to done by a pretty new crafter.
So here is my card- not more than 20 minutes, easy stamping and easy background painting.
I stamped the flowers from Spring Bouquet  and the sentiment from Happy Sentiments over white cardstock with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with black powder. Then I painted the background with water color Gelatos and inked the front edges.
To make this card more interesting I adhered it over a clear vellum card , but it's still very simple one to make.

Lucky me with Lucky stamps AND IT'S MY BIRTHDAY TODAY!

 Hello my dear crafty friends!
Today is my Birthday - and I am not going to say how old I am, but I sure am going to say how lucky I am.
I am lucky to have great family, lovely home, great hobby and a lot of fun.
So here is my Lucky card , made with Lucky Me Two Paper Divas stamps for the lucky St. Patrick day.
I used green cardstock as my basic card and added a piece of light gold glitter cardstock over it. Sorry that it looks silver, it's a gold as my golden luck.
Then I stamped the main image and colored it with distress markers. The whole image was die cut into this flower shape as I don't have any shamrock one. I added this wooden 5cent embellishment and a few buttons and stamped this lucky sentiment.
Are you lucky? Go and make a lucky card for yourself! TPD Lucky  Me set is just the best!

Happy Pansies Birthday!

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Today I am going to share the very first card I made with Inspired by Stamping new release.
I took a month this time to get  all those gorgeous stamps (thank you  global post service for this " very speedy delivery"... LOL). But then my stamps are finally here and I can play with those spring beauties.
So here is my Pansies card:
I used some purple patterned paper that fits the flowers a lot as my double matting.
The flowers were stamped with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with black powder. Then I colored them with distress markers and added Gelatos background.
The sentiment was stamped with 3 different stamps from the same set. The first two big words were heat embossed and the last sentence was just stamped with black ink.

I just added a few pearls and this lovely purple card was all done. Hope you like it.

Make your own wood tutorial and wall art with PHP

This is my Faux wood tutorial made for those who love wooden pallets on the wall, but can't buy them as they are far away from any craft shops, like I am. So I decided to make my own
 " wood" and it's quite a success.
Here is my tutorial:
1. Take an old tooth brush and cut every second row with scissors. Add gesso- I used Faber Castell DMC gesso- over Kraft cardstock using your new low cost  crafty tool.
2. Add a thick layer of clear embossing powder over the wet gesso and heat emboss it completely.

3. Add strokes of brown Gelato or any other water color brown paint  and wipe it with baby wipe.

4. Add a mix of brown colors using Big Brush Artist pens and more Gelatos. If you feel that it's too light add some dark brown home made mist  made from Gelato pieces , mixing browns and a bit of black.Add as much as you want to make your " wood" darker or lighter. As all colors are not water resist, you can wipe some paint if it's too dark, as I did with my final project.

5. Using the simple metal ruler make black lines with black Gelato to make the horisontal lines.
You wooden piece is done. Cut it to strips to make a pallet  as I did for my final project.

And this is my Live- Love- Laugh " wooden"  wall art:
I used a package of Paper House Productions sticker only and it's totally a HIT!
If you want you can add more  stickers, such as butterflies or birds or flowers. I wanted this project to be mostly clean and simple so we can enjoy both my faux wood and the gorgeous PHP stickers.

Sweet Stamps Anything goes week

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to our Anything goes week.
This is my new card made with a new, Sweet stamps  stencil and a new Piccolo chipboard frame.
I made the background with Gelatos pulled over the stencil without any water added over and then misted an upper part with a yellow mist to get this background.
Then I stamped over the background with black permanent ink. The chipboard frame was inked with a mix of Gelotos and heat embossed with clear powder. The last, but not least, was this stamped sentiment that was so perfect for this card.
