Topflight Doodle your stamps inspiration

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my weekly Topflight Stamp shop post.

This week the design team was challenged to work with a doodling range of stamps from Leane Creatief range originated in Netherlands.

This is my very first time to doodle anything, so it took me quite awhile to get the proper doodling pen.

And after a few tries the pen of choice is Pigma Micron 0.1 black pen.

 Here is the stamp I used to make this card: Flower Pot

The sentiment I used is from For the Love of Stamps Barrow of Blooms set.

I made the stamped background with the same stamps using white pigmented ink and white embossing powder over Kraft cardstock and then colored the images with distress markers.
The main image was stamped over white cardstock with black ink and heat embossing and then colored with the same distress markers inside.

Then I doodled over each piece of the stamped image and tried to make each petal different.

Bless your nest card

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my weekly post made for Two Paper Divas.
This time I made a lovely, almost clean and simple card with new Bless your nest stamp set.
Then background is Die Versions die cut and I made it partially to add more interest to this card.
The stamped nest is hand cut and made in 3d manner with distress markers painting.
The stamped sentiment is arranged over two more die cut layers and it's a very general card that fits a lot of occasions.

Rubber Dance gift card holder

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Rubber Dance  inspirational project.
I really love this Night Cat stamp (and all cats  around too). So this gift bag was made as one layer project with stamped and colored  RD stamp, misted and painted  bag background and then I added stencilled stars and heat embossed them with glitter.
I think that this is an adorable packaging for a nice (think $$$) gift card inside. Can be cash too- it's closed envelope after all.

Scrapmatts May inspiration

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my May Scrapmatts inspiration.

After two months of scrapbooking I decided to move to some Mixed Media art and to my favorite Steampunk style.

So the first project is this Steampunk book cover I made using DCVW cardstock and Scrapmatts gorgeous stencil and Steampunk pieces.

The background cardstock was covered with letters from Scrapmatts Alphabet stencil using clear embossing ink and gold embossing powder.

Then I added another layer- using Sizzix die and Scrapmatts stencil on the non die cut part of this layer. This time I used Circles stencil  with the same heat embossing technique.

Now it was a chipboard playtime!

First I painted the Steampunk chipboard with DecoArt paints using Andy Skinners faux rust combo of dark grey and dark red  paints. 

Then I painted the Wings mostly with dark Turquoise paint with a bit of brown over it. The background  wings layer was painted with gold paint and I glued them one over another with Glossy Accents.

The small chipboard key and key hole were painted with gold paint and a bit of patina antiquing  cream over them, just same as the title words. 

 I added two chipboard hinges and arranged the whole piece over a kind of book folded leather look cardstock.

Two piece of washi tape were added to make this " book" to look real.

Rubber Dance Just a note card

 Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my Rubber Dance inspirational post.
 This is a very new. just released Clover Castle  stamp that I love a lot and I am sure  you will see this stamp used again and again in my blog.
For today I made a card that I really love a lot: Kraft scalloped card with another small scalloped die cut in Kraft  and the stamped image that was colored with watercolors, but without water.
 I used my new beloved Zig Real Brushes and  the result is just delicious!

Rubber Dance May tutorial

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my Rubber Dance May tutorial!

This is Irit from Rubber Dance International DT and today I am going to show you how to make this Spring lovely chipboard printers tray from Tando with lots of Rubber Dance stamps.

So here we go!

Step by step tutorial:

1. Pick you favorite " winged" Rubber Dance stamps and stamp images over white cardstock.  I used all three new images for Fly Mail set and then the words from A little Birdie set and the bird too and added  Butterflies stamp.

Cut the images to fit the tray windows and arrange them over a piece of light patterned paper.As you can see I stamped 4 images with black pigmented ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The butterflies in two other windows are  white heat embossed over clear stamped images. 

2. Color the images with your favorite markers. I love my Distress markers and I used them to color the images.

3. Paint the frame with a mix of DecoArt paints and cover with a thin layer of one step crackle medium. Let it dry for a couple of hours.

4. Use distress inks in light colors to ink over stamped heat embossed images and glue the painted frame over the images as shown.

The white images react as resist technique.

5. Add a big butterfly sticker over the frame. You sure can add more inside and outside embellishments into the tray. I decided to leave it pretty clean as I wanted those Rubber Dance stamps to shine and to be the major stars of this project.

Gift card holder tutorial

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to myGift card holder tutorial. This one was made as MOTHER'S DAY gift and can be given to all mothers around, mine too as it's not too young, not too bulky, not too complicated, but still very fancy from inside mostly.
As much as I was tempted to make an art journal page, I moved from my comfort zone and decided to make something useful. So say Hello to my Gift card holder made from  chipboard, cardstock, collage sheets and a lot of Mixed Media products.
Here how it looks when closed and I made it flat in purpose. You can add whatever flowers and extras on the cover if you wish, but I like it flat so it can be sent in an envelope.

Step by step instructions:
1. Cut white 12*12'' chipboard or thick cardstock into two even parts of 12*6''.
Score and fold the first one as shown on 3''-6''-3'' - this is the inner part of the holder.
Score and fold the second half to 2 1/2''- 1/2''- 4 1/2''- 1/2''- 4 1/2''.

2. Cut Kaisercraft patterned cardstock to fit  cover  in one piece and  cut other pieces to fit the " pages" with like 1/8'' less from each side.
3. Use Tim Holtz Gothic stencil and DecoArt Crackle paste  over the cover cardstock. Let it dry and be sure you see crackles before you continue with this piece.

 4.Make the " postcard" with Joggles Quirky Houses collage sheet. Cut  5 houses and arrange them over the patterned cardstock (light wood side). Glue them with Gel Medium and let it dry.

5. Color the Quirky houses with a mix of Ranger Distress markers. Cover  each colored house with Glossy Accents and let it dry. Do not cover the free spaces over the cardstock as we want them to absorb mists and paints later.

6. Use Travel stencil with DecoArt Modelling paste over three cardstock pieces that were cut for the horizontal inside pages. Let the paste dry.

7. Use a mix of distress Ranger inks (names in the supply list) to  color the stencilled cardstock pieces.

8.Cut three flower images from Joggles Basilius Besler Botanical plate collage sheet and glue them over the central piece as shown. Use Gel medium to glue the pieces as this is the best medium to keep everything on place forever.

9. From this step  I am going to show the finished  pieces without extra photos as this is just " add mediums/stickers" techniques.

This is a full opened project and I am going to begin with the upper piece.

And this is how it looks with closed " folds".

 The whole inside was inked with a mix of two distress inks : Wild Honey and Peacock Feathers.

 This upper  piece was covered with  dark " wood" cardstock. The pink bird from Watercolor  birds Joggles collage sheet was cut and glued over it. I covered it with a thin layer of Glossy Accents and added white pen line and dots around. The Tim Holtz stickers were added on the lower left part.

10. Add a bird from the same Watercolor birds collage sheet over the flowers, cover it with glaze and add white line and dots around as shown. Add pink  Glimmer mist ( Tattered Angels Wedding Pink) over the finished pages and let it dry.

11. Now for the closed folds- this is a place to add the real gift card inside the project.
Glue two patterned paper pieces and add 4 black  photo corners to keep the card inside.Ink cardstock edges with distress ink before you glue them.
Cut two feathers from Joggles Watercolor pink feathers collage sheet. First cover them with DecoArt Crackle glaze and let them dry.
Then add Gold fluid acrylic  to enter the crackles and glue them as shown. Outline the feathers with white pen and add  white dots.

12. The " postcard" lower piece was painted with Chalkboard paint; then the paint was wiped and just a bit of stain left over the  piece. Add Verdigris Tattered Angels mist over and wiped it from glazed houses.Add a sticker on the bottom as shown and make all outlines with white pen.

13. Use Gold fluid acrylic to cover the crackle paste crackles over the cover piece . Then add Verdigris mist and even a bit of pink mist and let the cover dry. Glue it over the basic chipboard. Add the metal trinket to make a closure.

Game Queen art board with Rubber Dance

 Hello my dear crafty friends!
This is Irit from International Rubber Dance DT here and today I am going to share my new art page made with totally new Rubber Dance stamps.
This art page  main image is a Game Queen. So everything on this page is about games and I made this piece over a blank kid's puzzle piece you  buy for $1 in any craft store.
So here we go!
Step by step tutorial:
1. Use Rebbecca Baer stencil with Heavy gel medium over the blank puzzle piece. Let it dry.

2. Mist with a mix acrylic paints- try to dry between different paints as much as you can, unless you want to get this brown muddy color.Paint a few of small squares with black permanent marker to imitate the chess board.

3. Stamp the Rubber Dance Game Queen image over white cardstock and color with Ranger distress markers. Hand cut the image and glue it over the board with gel medium.

4. Stamp all other game pieces using different new and old Rubber Dance stamps. I stamped new and old Domino image,  Card Queen image, Bingo image and Puzzle image. The puzzle image was just black, so I stamped swirls with Rubber Dance background  stamp from ATC background 2 set and gold ink.Ink the pieces with mute distress inks.

5.Hand cut all game pieces and glue them over the board as shown.

6. Stamp the Game Queen title, ink it a bit, cut into two pieces and glue over the finished board.
