CAS- ual Fridays May post

Hello my dear crafty friends! Irit is here today and after a month in hiatus I want to  welcome to my new May post made for CAS- ual Fridays blog with their most delicious products.
I am going to share a Mixed Media card made in clean and simple style.
Can you believe that Mixed Media can be done in CAS style? Yes, it can.You use s lot of different mediums, but then the general car layout is still clean and simple, as you can see on this card.

I used one single CAS- ual Fridays stencil with crackle paste and two Fri- dies with the add- ons of a few mists and some enamel drops.
I also made a small and short tutorial for you to follow and to try this maybe odd card style of mine.
Here are the CAS- ual Fridays products used to make this card:

And now let me show you some steps of doing this card:
1. Cover the black card front with Bold Trellis stencil and use Crackle paste over it.

2. This is how it looks without the stencil, but yet without any cracks.

3. Add three mist over the dry card front and let they dry.

4. Make the central matting part (I used a die to make the shape, but it can be just a rectangle). Mist the matting part with two of the mists and let it dry. Die cut the CAS- ual Fridays title from white cardstock.

5. Mist the die cut title with the light blue mist and let it dry.Die cut another title from light green cardstock.
Die cut one Noteworthy strip from the same light green cardstock.

6. Arrange the title as shown: one word with blue over green as the shadow and the second word green over blue as  the shadow.
Add the die cut strip under the matting piece.
Add a few blue enamel drops over the card.

Here is a close- up to the central part of my card:

I hope that you like my new Mixed Media card and would try something similar with our gorgeous CAS- ual Fridays products.

One stencil - two ways- with CAS- ual Fridays

Hello my dear crafty friends! Welcome to my new April post made for CAS- ual Fridays blog.
Irit is here today and this time I am going to show a card made with one single new and just released stencil that was used in two different ways as the background and then on the main heart shaped image.

I used this lovely Bold Trellis stencil with two different mediums and as you see it looks totally different.
The background is made with Gel medium over the stencil that was positioned over white cardstock
Then the dry image was covered with a mist of Distress inks and wiped with a baby wipe to leave the white images that are glossy.

The inside heart was die cut from the stencilled black cardstock.
This time I used red glitter paste and the look is very glittery.

The sentiment was stamped over white cardstock and glued over the inked smaller heart.

This is the stencil used twice to make this card:

And the stamp set used :

I hope that you like my used of one single stencil and as you can see this is an easy way to make lovely card with minimum effort if you have our lovely CAS- ual Fridays products.
So here is my own discount for you to use in CAS- ual Fridays shop.
Go for it! And see you in a couple of weeks with a new card and a tutorial.

Happy Hanukkah with CAS- ual Fridays

Hello my dear crafty friends! Irit is here today and I am going to share one more Hanukkah card.
Hanukkah is just around the corner and as CAS- ual Fridays have the most beautiful Hanukkah stamps and Fri- dies this is a time to get yourself a few new items from the shop and to make a few new Hanukkah cards.
This time I decided to stay with die cutting  only and there is no stamping on this new card. But then there are a few background techniques that can be useful for non  stamping crafters or for these who want to make a set of cards with just dies and to try some Mixed Media easy techniques.

This card was made over the thick white cardstock without any patterned paper (not so much of  Hanukkah cardstock can be found in the shops).
I tried to stay in our traditional Hanukkah colors of blues and silver, but believe me you can use purples and gold, black and white or even reds and oranges of candle flames.
This is how it looks from the side: flat and fits the regular cheap mailing envelope.

And here is the main part- with both CAS- ual Fri- dies.

I used two sets of dies for this card: the first is the new and just released Happy Hanukkah Fri- dies set and the second is the older, but still much loved ........ Fri-n dies set.

Happy Hanukkah

And I made a full step by step photo tutorial for you all too.

1.Cover the card front with 3 strips of painters tape (repositionable tape to use for painting lines).

2.Use inks (I used American Crafts Mixed Media inks for this card) to ink the first strip on the card and then move the strips and ink all other parts with different blue ink colors.

3. Die cut the Star of David as shown and then arrange it inside with colors in the different spots.

4. Cover the card front with the stencil and use translucent texture paste over the stencil.
Let it dry for a few minutes.

5. Heat the dry paste and use silver foil and bone folder to add some distressed silver foil over the stencilled parts. This is not the usual way to use the foil, but  it worked without any laminators or other fancy tools. Anyway all I wanted is the get some silver over the texture paste lines, not to foil the stamped images.

6. Add some silver glitter drops over the die cut star as shown and let them dry.

7. Die cut the Happy Hanukkah and heat emboss it using VersaMark ink and glitter blue embossing powder.

8.Arrange the card and add more glitter glue drops over the card front.
Happy Hanukkah to you!

I really hope that you like my Hanukkah card and my small tutorial.

CAS- ual Fridays November release- Merry Christmas Fri-Dies & Happy Hanukkah Fri-Dies

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Welcome to Day 4 of our new CAS- ual Fridays Holiday release.
Today's release are two matching Holiday dies: one is for Christmas and the second is for Hanukkah.
So I made a " twin" cards set- same arrangement, but totally different look.
The mediums used are different and so are the card colors made in totally traditional  Holidays colors.

 Merry Christmas Fri- die
 Happy Hanukkah Fri- die

Here are some close- ups to the twin cards:
On the Christmas card the circles were made with gold glitter paste and then the card was misted with a mix of green mists.
The sentiment was die cut once and glued in the Mixed Media style with Glossy Accents that are seen, but everything can be done on Mixed Media card.

On the Hanukkah card the circles were made with white texture paste over the same stencil and then heat embossed with silver embossing powder.
The background was made with Distress Oxide inks and water.
The die cut sentiment was die cut from silver glitter cardstock.

So as you can see: two cards- same look, different mediums.
Both card are easy to make and can be done as the mass production.

So come back during the next 2 days and if you want to buy some of our new goodies, here is the discount code for you to use:

See you tomorrow with more CAS- ual Fridays inspiration from the new release!

CAS- ual Fridays November release-Big Hope Fri-Die

 Hello my dear crafty friends!
Welcome to Day 1 of our new CAS- ual Fridays Holiday release.
Today I am going to share a card made with one new single word die, but the word I used is maybe the most powerful one. Hope. This is the thing we all need and cherish and if  there is a hope around things are going better.
So Hope for the best and use this gorgeous new CAS- ual Fridays die!

The background of this card was made with emboss- resist technique.
First the four words from Powerful Words  stamp set were stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with glitter gold embossing powder.
Then some dots were added with blue glitter paste over a stencil.
The dry surface was misted  with a mix of blue mists.

The word Hope was die cut 6 times. The bottom layer is white for the contrast and then all layers were glued one over another. The upper layer was heat embossed with the same embossing powder.

This is the new die released today!
