Eternal love lo

This page was published in May 2010 issue of Scrapstreet magazine

OK- I decided to do A LOVE PAGE - but not about " that kind of love" we all think- but about the love my DN Tamar has for her very first and very own pet- Cheesy the hamster. And as I wrote in my journaling- he's the only pet my sis permits her to have (not including some gold fishes- but you can't paly with fish... )

So I got this fantastic photo from my sis (so what if it's NewYork- horray for the PC mail.. )and did this lo in some not childish colors - and I actually love it..
Tamar is so sweet and Cheesy is so small and cute!!

I used this great Prima stitched paper together with 2 other Prima pp- only the circles of them , added some hand stitching around and inside the circles, added some Prima flowers, some cute flower dolls from local craft store,

wooden animal, wooden hearts (colored with brown ink), some recycked curragate kraft piece and Crafty secrets journaling spot.

The letters are from ATD (WALMART..) and the problem with this set was that there were only 2 small letter E and only one small letter V- so I altered the big V and used another big E- let it be so..

My last additions were a button and a metal pebble (old one, but fits here perfectly with this " together" and colors)
Favorite thing for Pile it on- Prima, flowers, circles, hand writing, one photo page
Circles and squares for Crafty angels
Stitching for Artful inkables

The title was from " The giving tree" -the tree. 2 birds and 3 leaves- for Artastic challenge-
I won this one randomly- thanks!!
I know the photo is not so good- it's night here - but some of the challenges have this dead line now- so I post it as is and will fix the photo later

One day u gotta dance lo

This page was published in Feb 2011 issue of SNR magazine
This lo was done with my own very old photo

I was I very fat non dancing baby- and some decades later I am petite zero addicted to dancing (falk- ballroom- anything...) person. So this page was done with my own baby photo and this title.. And as it should be with old b/w photos I did it with this shabby " modern vintage" style-
grey paper, lazer die cut paper, recycling old Prima packaging, monochromatic lo.
I did it with Crop divas sketch and used some kind of hidden journaling on OA tag, one bingo card, Prima flowers on recycled book punched scallop, used laces, ribbons, pearls, blings, inking, distressing, 2 colors stamped and heat embossed butterfly, bare kraft chipboard, altered Prima canvas alphas, another MM alphas.. Did I forget something? Maybe.. Just enlarge by click and see it all..
I also won this sketch challenge- as I was the only one in the challenge- still..
And it was a fast one (again- the only thing that takes time was a butterfly- and this one was premade by me .. )
And a tip: when you scrap a vintage monochromatic page - decide on color (other than kraft- balck- white- cream base ) and take out whatever you have with this only color- like I did with this blue one. Than use some of the items- not all of them- and keep all others in one place for the next same color page. It works perfecly. Time is money we say.. So next time you save time..
And for other challenges - after the sketch and a title:
Antique- for Method playground
Recycling- the b/w dots are the packaging and the book paper under the flower too- for Challenge up your life
B/w and one more color for Magical crafts
Scrapbook page for Little paper shop
Antique- the photo is almost 50 years old f0r Method palyground
Buttons for ECP challenges
Distressing for KLstamps n' scraps
Flowers and pearls for Cinema saturday
Recipe- tag, 2 buttons, ribbon and a bow for Character cafe
Buttons, ribbon, lace for Paper cutz

Twins- love story lo

This lo was published in August 2010 issue of SNR magazine
I was a Cropping Diva of the week for this page on Scrap simple blog- thanks!!

I was really productive today- 3 postcards and a page- and it's still 9 p.m. only- I think I am going to scrap another one.. I just realised that we took thousands of photos I never even checked- and they are great. So I need to finish the full box of what I have and than to recheck that ones again..
So this page was a fast one: I used the sketch from Scrap simple " as is"- it's a great sketch with hidden journaling block I like very much- also I didn't do the journaling yet- this needs a time and a muse. Than I saw this " crazy" colors I never use on Studio 313 challenges- I think this is a card blog- but still- 2 yellow- red and something pieces were screaming " use your BG paper" for this lo and I won this one randomly- more digi to grab- thanks!!
So I used these BG paper and transparency I got as my first real RAK almost a year ago form Jasmin after I won on her SIC challenge (later I did a full term in this blog DT)- and it's so shiny summer colors. All the rest was easy- no stamping or misting on this one, just clusters of cute embellishments, some home die cuts, a handle for the OA journaling block and reuse of J. Bowlin bingo packaging. I even opened a new pack of Thickers as I wanted to do the title in one single font and fast.
And for other challenges too:
Colors- lots of bright ones- for Crafty Ann blog hop challenge- I finished a hop but need a creation to do for it too
Not my comfort zone for Start me up- YELLOW? ME? and taking a sketch " as is"?
Love story for Creative promps
Scrappage for Little paper shop- I won this challenge randomly- thanks!

He was my hero lo

This lo was published in August 2010 issue of SNR magazine

This lo was a GEM OF THE WEEK of 5/17 on Scrapbooking challenges blog- thanks!!
My DT challenge on GINGERSNAP CREATIONS was " read"- any kind, any way..
Also to use some letters stamp or some book page was an easy way- I decided to do a lo about a book.. And about " the book"- The Little prince by Antuane de Saint- Exepury was my ultimate choice and here it is- my He was my hero lo
My hero- both of them- the writer and a prince. I knew to quote every single page of this book - first the Russian translation, then the English and later the Hebrew one. I tried to read the French original- but my 3 years of highschool French was not enough- so I dropped the idea.
This is a pure non photo lo and here are the products:
AC light grey cardstock, Adornit pp(the sky), one stamp (" Draw me... ), paper rose, Pink paislee letters, some brads and lots of techniques.
I used some gesso and some recycled tissue paper for the " planet", pEper piecing of digi print for the prince,I printed the book cover on 5 languages,
used paints for the sea and the sky, distressed the alphas,
inked the covers, stamped the sheap and heat embossed it with dimentional white paint and did some journaling about the book I found on WIKIPEDIA
The digi cut of the plane is for the writer whose plane was missed over the sea in 1944.
And for the challenges:
Paints (the sky- sea- plane) for Scrap outside the box
Nothing new for Scrapfit
Not a card for My stampimg royalty
Sanding for Frosted designs- the letters are all sanded

Go and grow- lo

THIS LO WAS PUBLISHED IN JULY /AUGUST ISSUE 2010 OF SCRAP N' ART MAGAINE

This lo was made Unscripted sketches sketch #53 and as it is National scrapbooking day (ok- not my nation- but my scrapbooking for sure)- our DT was asked to design a lo and not a card(also I do half and half usually).
So for this one I challenges myself to scrap a huge photo of my kids lot of time ago and I am really pleased with the result .Don't afraid of these huge prints- it came very easy as there is no lot of space to scrap after.
So as for products- 1 AC cardstock, some sraps for home diecuts, MM and AC letters (mission impossible to use the same set!!), Pink paislee die cut , Bazzill die cut one mixed flower I did from 5 pieces of Prima and Petaloo, with crystal brad and some crystal leftovers.
As for techniques- misting over the mountains home diecuts, faux stitching,
painting the chipboard, misting the cardstock white border, die cutting and hand writing
And for other challenges too:
Nothing new for Scrapfit- old photo- old papers- old dies and flowers-
Stitching for Crafty cats
Different fonts and altering letters- (o is zero and I covered it with a tree die cut to make this less visible) for Scrap you crap

We'll always have Paris lo

This page was published in SNR JUNE 2010 ISSUE
This lo was a winner on The pink elephant chipboard and paints challenge- thanks!!
I did this lo for my Kraft challenge on Gingersnap creations DT- but is was a statement: we can use our very old neglected stash and to get the most of it.
We can do great lo (as I really like this one) without using the whole lines of new papers and embellishments- we just need to think!!
So I decided to do this lo as I was organizing my very old chipboards - and these Provo craft ones were screaming to me " use us". All the rest was easy:
the plain craft paper got some " dressing up" with home made glimmer mists and huge chipboard circle as a home made mask I keep just for this kind of misting.
Then I stamped lots of white images and heat embossed them, added some brown inked Tim Holtz french stamps on the top, inked and distressed the paper. Here we are- one craft paper, no designers at all.
Then I found this old Orient express ad on the web together with this french lady I got once as a RAK (just added some cut out of this image)- this one was laminated so it shines a bit.
The MME journaling tags were the Rak I just got a few days ago and they are.. French!! and from 2007. I did some random journaling - like the name of the city in English/ French, Russian and Hebrew, connected the city sights with this recycled string, added some music twill ribbon for my love for French chansons (hope this is the way I should write it- not sure, my French is not very great - 3 years in high school and .... nothing at all I remember..), fleur de lis brads,Mona Lisa stamp in home die cut frame and some vintage button were the last touch..
And the title? Ok, one of the greatest movies ever.. Give it a guess..
The biggest problem with this title is that you can never did it with one pack of letters- so here we have 5!! packs- all used and some very old too.
And as I was thinking about other web challenges doing this- here they are
No photo lo- for BASB
Recipe for Craftstic- cardstock background, journaling blocks (their own Rak I won),lots of stamped images, yellow color of brads.
Recipe for Mission create- no pp, stamping, game pieces- 5 of them on Paris label on the suitcase
Chipboard and paints for Pink elephant
Distressing for Prarie fairy

LIFE IS A GAME LO

This no photo lo was made for my very first DT job on Gingersnap creations challenge blog. I am really thrilled to be there and I hope to stand be their standarts (very high one actually)

So for this blog you need to be a creative stamper (I am not- I stamp just a bit on my pages)- and the decision to do " no photo" was as I needed space for techniques. So here they are:

misting, plain stamping, resist ( on these puzzle shapes), inking, distressing, heat embossing , using " founded objects " as this eas the challenge!!

So I found some playing cards, some cardboard, dominos, some play dies, some newpaper crosswords, old chinese coin and paly dies and non used stamp " game" set ...

And this Alice in Wonderland bunny is just right here- as all the book is full of games and card characters ..
And here it is - life is a game- you just need to know how to play it.. Any kind goes- if you win.
And as for other challenges:
Use a neglected stamp ( all game set is a year old and never used ) for Fab and funky
Anything goes for Penny's
Metal for Quixotic- coin, letters
Distressing for Totally paper crafts
Distressing for Sophysticat

1000 hugs = LOVE lo

This page was published in Feb 2011 issue of SNR magazine
I decided to use this great photo of my twins and it fitted for oval cut- so this 1000 title for Scrap the music challenge was really great and everything else was a result.. I used AC light grey cardstock to fit the picture colors and Dream street paper math pp to do this 1000+ hugs title- actually all my page is this huge title.
Zeros were cut with Spelbinders and I used the inside for "0" letter later.
1 was cut free hand (BG paper)
I used thick markers for + and the red line for summery and painted the Love word with thick acrylics and did it free hand too and black marker for stencyl letters for Hugs.
EK binding border punch was great for this notebook page and I added a bit of Teressa Collins notebook transparency.
The clouds were made with scallop cut I did with scissors and with some chalks, I also distressed the notebook page and inked it.
Then I cut (free hand) this 2 circles for balloons, painted them with acrylics and hand stitched the strings. The box was made from old recycled placement I already used for one lo before (a bit inked)
And finally I really needed some flowers and was short of time to do my own- so I used these Prima ones and added a brad to keep the transparency on the place without glue.
And it also goes for some more challenges:
Floss-on my balloons for Scrap your crap
Inspiration- abc and numbers for Creative prompt
Cardboard for Method playground
