Filmstrip art with Rubber Dance

 Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new post made with Rubber Dance gorgeous artistic stamps.
This film strip project was actually made for some print submission. I didn't make this issue with this piece, so it's just right to share it as I think it's pretty artistic one.
But then, on the other hand, my even bigger project made with Rubber Dance stamps for the same issue will be print published, so I feel very good with those submissions.
I already made a piece about Da Vinci's demons in the past. But now I moved to the ' let's make movie" art and as we are talking about a TV Show called " DA VINCI'S DEMONS" it fits perfectly, just as RD stamps from Da Vinci SET  fit this piece even more perfectly.
 I made the stamped piece over the thick white cardstock and added the heat embossed film strips chipboards on the top.
I stamped  the main images inside the strip " windows" and added some background stamps on the top, on the bottom and in between.
All stamping was made  with clear embossing ink and black heat embossing. All painting over the images was made with a mix of distress inks.
I made this stickers  wording  and it  says: His demons- his art; My art- my movie"
A few metal pieces were added to make it fancy and connected to the time line of the artist.

ARTplorations tutorial: altered tag

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Mixed Media tutorial for ARTplorations.

As Mixed Media tutorial are mostly about the techniques, the best way to show those techniques is to make a tag.

Tags are not just to use  over the gift bags, but they are prefect to show MM techniques and artistic ways to add colors and textures to your projects.

 So here is my new tutorial STEP BY STEP:

1.  Glue a very antique piece  of a book page to the big tag with Gel Medium. I used ESF one, but any medium is good for this step.

2. Cover the wet Gel Medium with clear embossing powder and heat emboss it. It gives us a nice shiny background and a bit of a texture too; and it dries the medium too.

3. Use ARTplorations Fearless Large stencil  and make the flower over the tag with the same Gel Medium from ESF .

4. Cover the wet flower image with a thick layer of blue glitter. And now dry it with your heat gun.

5. Now paint over the dry image and over the whole tag with Gel Medium based paints. I used ESF Iridescents by Ann Butler as I have them. But any kind of shiny semi transparent paint will work here.

6. As a next step I added some grids with white Chalk it Up ESF paint over the ARTplorations Gridlocked stencil. 

I also painted Makin's Clay hand made molded piece with Copper paint and glued them over the tag. 

6. Now I added Discover stamped word using STAMPlorations Bold sentiments- Discover  stamp over the tissue paper with black permanent ink. My tag is very textured, so the only way to stamp over it is to stamp on tissue and to glue it over the tag with all  texture under the stamped image.

I added some blue glass beads here and there and made this stickers sentiment  under the stamped word.

The whole tag was distressed around too.

 As the main embellishments I added 4 pieces of Makin's Clay birds and Bird house. Those were made with Makin's Clay Terra Cotta and Brown clay and using Polish molds and then, when dried, I covered them with Gek Medium and glitter with a twist of gold paint.

Cork board with Artplorations

 Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new ARTplorations post!
As you know we have the Mixed Media challenge and you just need to enter to maybe WIN!
So this is what I made this time: altered cork board that can be really used to pin all our notes and papers.
First I made the embellished panel with Earth Safe Finishes Ann Butler's Iridescent paint, using the ix of blues and  yellows to make those greens.
Then I used ESF Texture paste with ARTplorations Bloom Silhouettes stencil  and cover it with blue embossing powder to heat emboss and to speed the drying time too.
Leaves were stamped with white ESF Chalkboard paint using Frames and Flowers set and  flowers were covered with the same paint to make the contrast. The whole piece is ATC size and was actually made over a chipboard ATC base.
The " every day is a journey" saying is STAMPlorations Bold Sentiments- Journey set and I stamped over the cork with white pigmented Clearsnap ink and heat embossed it with white powder. Maybe it's not a perfect stamping, but it was stamped over the rare cork piece, so it looks great after all.

Today I am going to share my most favorite art pages/art boards/canvases and this time it was not so easy: I have lots of good, even print published projects and it was pretty hard to pick the best of the best.

Western style card with DV and Canvas Corps

 Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new  blog post! This time I made a fun Western style card using Die Versions new released die : Southwestern couple.
I used Canvas Corps Western  collection to make the background and the sentiment and used the same cardstock to make parts of die cut images. Just cut them a couple of times and  glue some parts over the black die cut image.
 I really love this die and it can be even used as a part of wedding card if the couple is dancers or Western style  fans.

My TOP 7 SCRAPBOOKING LAYOUTS

Here is a punch line of this post: I maybe did a bit more than 10 layouts this year and if I need to pick 10 best- they are all the best. So I decided to pick " lucky 7" and I promise to scrap more this new year.
You may call it the resolution, I might call it " too many photos are waiting to be scrapped".
So here are my favorites:
The first three are the pages made  with photos from my beautiful daughter wedding this May:

This multi photo lo is a wedding one too- but from like 7 years ago wedding of my oldest son.

All of those pages were web published during 2015 and the first 6 are made with Paper House products.
