Congratulations with Magenta

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Magenta blog post!
Today  I decided to make something a bit different and to show you that I can make pretty and quite simple cards and not Mixed Media projects only.

This square card was made with a few unbranded basic dies, three Magenta stamps and one Magenta new stencil.
The stencil was applied using so called circle template I made with the same circle die, so the texture part is just inside the circle.
I used texture paste and then embossing glitter over the texture.
Then the box was die cut from Kraft cardstock and butterflies in two sizes were stamps, heat embossed and colored with watercolor markers.

The butterflies were hand cut and added with 3d foam glue and you can see the texture and the layers on this photo.

The sentiment was stamped in this not so perfect way, but I decided that I like it with these extras even more (as I am primary a Mixed Media artist I never looks for the stamping perfection... LOL).

This is a very general card that fits a lot of occasions and very easy to make.
Actually you don't really need all these dies at all. Look at the box die cut shape and just copy your own!

We Are your past altered canvas

This is my new altered canvas made for some web challenge.

I made it with a lot of chipboards - positives and negatives and added some letters. Then I discovered that letters W and R made this " we are" thing and added the sentiment " your past".
It's a kind of a travel in time- to old world and old and odd things.

 Made for some web challenges:

This Tando door hanger was covered with stencilled letters using DecoArt texture paste and them painted with a mix of Media line paints  and other metallic paints.
I added small white marker dots to ass some light to this dark piece.
The title was made with another tag using the chipboard circle  inside and this time I used texture paste and a bit of embossing glitter over the letters.
I made this L4Love title with one single stencil and then added a couple of glittered hearts over the title.

Top 10 for 2017 Blog Hop

Edited: Sorry for not picking my winner earlier, but my new grandson was born on 1/1/18 and my whole life was a bit around this event.
So I decided not to do it with random pick, but just to make a summary of his birth date and 1+1+1+8 is 11, so my winner is number 11.
Laura Cox- your my my winner!
Please e- mail me  with your shipping addy to get your win!
And again- very sorry for the delay, but I was a bit out of the blog loop lately.

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to our mutual TOP 10 blog hop.

Image may contain: text

Here are my  Top 10 as I picked them for my own (read about it, please) reasons.
This year I was mostly concentrated in making altered and Mixed Media projects with a small touch of CAS cards and a small number of scrapbooking layout.
Most of my favorite projects were made for one of my design teams or for some challenges and lucky me even won some great prizes for them.
I hope that you came from Laura's blog

Altered Mixed Media notebook
This project was made for a contest of Fave Crafts blog as a part of Prime CHA event for  those who attended the event and got some goodies from different sponsors.
The best 20 projects were picked by blog admin and then it was a public voted competition with $1000 prize.
And I WON IT! Public voted win and a great cash to spend on more  goodies.

This altered Steampunk box was made as a part of my designing for BoBunny and was made with cardstock only, using dies, stencils , embellishments from BoBunny and paints and mediums from Pentart.
This box was in print in the latest VOL.10 Just Steampunk! print magazine and made a cover too.

This altered canvas is another Mixed Media project made for some web challenges and yes, I won some and was spotlighted in some more with this canvas.

And after few grungy projects I decided to show one shabby and bright tag made for a couple of web challenges and actually I won one and got great prize for this win.
This is a double tag made with stencils, chipboards, paints, dies and patterned cardstock  in this " light Mixed Media" style.

This is another Mixed Media canvas made for BoBunny with their products and Pentart paints and mediums and yes, I am back to grungy Mixed Media style.

In between dark and Steampunk projects I made a few CAS cards too.
This card was made for Magenta DT call after I made round 1 and gor some of their products and I made this team and design for Magenta for the last few months.

A I already told you I didn't scrapbook much  during this year, cut I still made a few nice layouts.
This layout with my daughter's wedding photo was made for Scrapberry DT I served till June this year.
I really love my totally modern girl on this vintage style layout.
Hope you like it too!

Next one of my favorite projects is this shaker card that was in print in Craft Ideas Summer issue magazine.
It looks like a simple card, but the inside of stars is stamped and heat embossed and stars are die cut and glittered, so after all it's a kind of not so simple card after all.

Another Mixed project that I like a lot is this altered notebook cover with Mixed Media faux wood background and totally cute embellishments cluster that was made for print publication and was in print in the latest new issue of Just Christmas cards and decorations! 2017.

And the last , but not least is this cute shabby Mixed Media card

So as you can see I picked my own favorites in different styles, but it's still me and my own styles after all.
Now  you should visit the next blog in the hop-Nicole's blog

And yes, I do have a lovely giveaway for you to win.
As you can see this is a mini clor board, 2 sets of dies and three sets of stamps and they all are new in packages.

Art is the voice of a heart art page with Magenta

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Today  I am going to share my new art journal double spread made over the single A4 Mixed Media cardstock using Magenta stencils and stamps.

This page is all about  your own understanding of art. As Art is the voice of your heart, there is no rules or right and wrong in doing your own art.
So even if it looks a bit weird it's still your own interpretation of your heart in colors, designs and general concept .

I made the background with acrylic paints and then added a few black cardstock pieces in a totally random way.
Two Magenta stencils were used to add the contrast (numbers in black) and texture (stars in blue) and two Magenta stamps were used to add some stamping on the background.

The metal piece was stamped over metal sheet and then colored with a  mix of alcohol inks. Then it was die cuts and glued on the right side of the double page spread. The stamping was made with black pigmented ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

The sentiment was stamped over the page with permanent black ink.

The main image on the left side was stamped in the same heat embossed way and then colored with distress markers and covered with gel medium.

Some black pen doodling was added around the page for more " hand made" interest.

@3: Altered Mixed Media Birthday canvas

Hello my dear crafty friends!
This altered canvas was made for my dearest 3 yo grand daughter (she is 4 now already, but who counts? ).
I made it for three web challenges for January.
The first one is 7Dots Use three colors challenge and I used their cardstock, stickers and tags to make this art piece.

The second one is More than Words and they asked for Birthday with Tags inspiration.
January Main Challenge

The last one is for Scrapki- Wyswaniowo and they asked for vellum. I used printed in gold vellum for a die cut and as a part of my cluster matting.

As you can see I used tons of stencils over the canvas and over the cardstock as a part of my design. Quite a few die cuts added interest to this canvas. I used just two colors of paints and mists to make it a good fit for one of the challenges and there are stamping over the matting pieces and as the main part of the mixed title. The stamps are from Magenta.
A few different mediums were also used to make this canvas, such as white crackle paste and peach pearl stencil paste together with mists and paints from different origins.
