Classy and sassy card with IBS

Hello my dear crafty friends!
This is a card I made for Create magazine sketch and it was web published in October issue.
I used Paper House Productions papers and stickers and added a stamped banner made with the most gorgeous Inspired by Stamping set:  Whimsical Banners
Two colors of inks were used here to fit the background paper and I made 3d banners by hand cutting the second stamped image and adhering it with 3d foam glue.

When journey becomes the destination: with Rubber Dance stamps

Hello my dear crafty friends! Today I want to share a simple, but yet fancy card made with Rubber dance lovely sentiment.
It's a kind of blackboard  look with just stamping over black cardstock with white embossing powder and I also added i piece of cork to get this fancy look.

Saturday Spotlight with Inspired for Stamping

Hello my dear crafty friends!
It's my week for Inspired by Stamping Saturday Spotlight feature and I made a small background tutorial for all IBS  newsletter readers and all my crafty friends around the world.
This is my finished card with this  special background

  And  now for  my step by step tutorial:

1. Stamp a mix of small and mediums doilies using permanent color inks and Delicate Doilies set.
Make it random and much bigger than your finished size desired card as we never know which part of the background we are going to use after all.

2. Stamp a couple of big large doilies using clear embossing ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. I made like 4-5  stamped images and tried to keep them separated.

3. Mist the heat embossed piece with a dark shade of mist and then wipe the surface with a  baby wipe.
Let it dry or dry it with your heat gun. Trim the best looking piece to your desired card size. Try to keep at least two large doilies seen.

4. Stamp one large doily (different one) over Kraft cardstock with one of the ink colors you used on the background (I used dark pink). Hand cut the doily and trim it as shown. Stamp the sentiment- I used   Sugar and Spice new released set sentiment- with clear ink and white  embossing powder. Punch or die cut a circle and glue it over the  hand cut doily.

5. Trim the basic Kraft card and add the background over it. Glue the sentiment and add a few random pearls around.

Travel canvas with PHP and Plaid

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Today I am going to show you my new altered canvas made with Paper House Productions and Plaid products as a part of our mutual  blog hop. 
 I wanted to use the most gorgeous molds I got with Travel items, so I made this Travel canvas and I think we all can see how  lovely both company products are

Step by step:

1. Paint the canvas with a mix of Bark Brown and Yellow Ochre with roller and foam brushes. Let it dry.  Add texture with the same paints using Stone Path mask and let it dry. If you don't want to wait for a long time you can sprinkle clear embossing powder over the masked path and to heat emboss it , as I did after all.

2. Fill Travel mold with Milk color Mold Melts and let it dry . Trim the edges of all molded shapes. Paint the shapes in the desired colors with FolkArt acrylics.

3.Cut  a map circle from Old Word paper and glue it with Mod Podge over the canvas all over the paper piece. Let it dry.Tear a few more strips from the same Map paper and glue them with Mod Podge over the canvas as shown. Add a few  drops of  brown paint to make some shading around the paper strips.

4.Make the upper title with a word World cut out of the same paper, canvas sticker from Paris set and a cut piece of Journey sticker . Add a subtitle " Trip of lifetime", bubble sticker and suitcases as shown. Cluster the molded pieces as shown.

     

Celebrate with new Die Versions dies

Hello my dear crafty friends!
This is Irit here again with another new card made with a new, just released, cut- out Celebrate die and a new lovely font called  Spaghetti.
 This time I tried to be more artistic and made this kind of a Mixed Media card with Gelli Plate print background and a mixed   sentiment, made with a cut out die and some die cut letters. I made it as
 " Celebrate yourself" one . We often forgot to celebrate ourselves and just celebrate our family and friends. So once a year make it for yourself!

   This time I used just a strip with cut out  sentiment and not the whole piece of paper to cover the background. I glued this strip with 3d foam dots and added this totally funky letters from the new font.

Make your own wood tutorial and wall art with PHP

This is my Faux wood tutorial made for those who love wooden pallets on the wall, but can't buy them as they are far away from any craft shops, like I am. So I decided to make my own
 " wood" and it's quite a success.
Here is my tutorial:
1. Take an old tooth brush and cut every second row with scissors. Add gesso- I used Faber Castell DMC gesso- over Kraft cardstock using your new low cost  crafty tool.

2. Add a thick layer of clear embossing powder over the wet gesso and heat emboss it completely.

3. Add strokes of brown Gelato or any other water color brown paint  and wipe it with baby wipe.

4. Add a mix of brown colors using Big Brush Artist pens and more Gelatos. If you feel that it's too light add some dark brown home made mist  made from Gelato pieces , mixing browns and a bit of black.Add as much as you want to make your " wood" darker or lighter. As all colors are not water resist, you can wipe some paint if it's too dark, as I did with my final project.

5. Using the simple metal ruler make black lines with black Gelato to make the horisontal lines.

You wooden piece is done. Cut it to strips to make a pallet  as I did for my final project.

I used a package of Paper House Productions sticker only and it's totally a HIT!

 If you want you can add more  stickers, such as butterflies or birds or flowers. I wanted this project to be mostly clean and simple so we can enjoy both my faux wood and the gorgeous PHP stickers.

Beautiful orchids with Inspired by Stamping

  Hello my dear crafty friends!
This is my new layout made as a piece of " make your own background"  experiment.
I  made a lot of stamped and stencilled background, but this time I added almost a full package of thin clear stamps to add the texture to this page that was made because of the stamp.
How can it be? It can. First I got this Orchid stamp from IBS  Australian Nature 1 set , then I tried to find good photos to fit it and I actually found a lot from our trip to Orchid garden.
So I added 3 photos in line and made the background around with stamping the same stamp 4 times and coloring with distress markers over the patterned paper. Then I added some stickers over the photos and made the finishing touches with corner and title heat embossed chipboards, canvas. 3d and puffy stickers and a few pieces of ribbons I never use... The stamped butterflies from the same stamp set were the last second add- ons and work perfectly with the sticker ones,  colors and  my photos. And then the little stamped bird over the canvas sticker was the must! The sticker says : Sing your song and the bird was " must to add" image here.

Vintage art with Meg's Garden

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Meg's Garden post.
This time I made this standing mini album using the new collection from Meg's Garden called French Garden.

I folded this stand to be my album base and this is how it looks from the side, just to show you how easy this fold is. I used a good chipboard piece 6*12'' long and scored it to 6-3-6 '' to make this fold.

Most of the products are from Meg's Garden shop, but I added this ART sticker from PHP company, some bling and a word Vintage. All piece was inked with Rusty Hinge distress ink from Ranger.
Some embossing with brass, green  and gold were added over the chipboards.

 The whole mini album has 8 pages and as much as I wanted to add more, it became very bulky and impossible to  close.

I used French Garden papers and vintage women pieces  and cut outs on each page and added a word that describes this page.

The whole construction was binded with a spiral and  this is like those calendars we all see around, but hand made one.

And here's my project!

Actually I first made another project, pretty big one. But then I found the Kitchen call for some print  craft magazine and mailed this project to them. As it's still under consideration and maybe will be in print,  I just made another project for this hop.
And this time it's a MENU I  made for a kind of non existing coffee shop.

 I used a lot of paper from RRI collection, some die cuts, 3d stickers, tags, droplets  and wooden pieces.  I added a piece of twine from this collection around the cover.
 The wooden pieces were inked and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder to get this lovely " like glass" look.

The papers around were embossed with Glitter Teal powder.

The bottom cake die cut was partially embossed with Vintage Candy Cane  glitter.
