Altered candle holder

My new altered project for Prima PPP (colors ). An old candle holder that was waiting for an alteration. As colors of flowers were too bright, I  painted with shimy shite paint all over them.

All you need for a great page is Love

This banner page was made  with 4 photos of my darling grandson Omer and Simple Stories papers and stickers.

The basic cardstock is Teresa Collins one, but I really wanted it for the hexagon shapes (as I added some chipboard later) and for the color. The page has a lot of stamping (Glitz banners and Love title), hand made epoxy embellishments (flags, circles and stars made with Epiphany Crafts tools), hand write journaling made  over a stamped flag and 3 banners that are the page after all. I made those faux polaroid photos with a square punch and this way it is really easy to make your mass production of polaroid frames.

I also covered wooden clips with the same paper and even used a paper line title for one of them (fabulous)

Mixed Media madness

My new Mixed Media canvas- my tribute to paints and textures.
Textures as I want to try this Creative Expressions UK stamp company DT call  and as you can see this piece is a whole mix of different textures made with mediums , paints and embossing powders and also the whole piece is totally flat we can see the depth of the scene made using those mediums only.
And the paints are .... Faber Castell Design memory craft Gelatos and Big Brushes. Also as I have just a few of them, all my projects with them are pretty much similar. I need more colors to make different projects, so I try this Limor Webber's contest and I just hope so much to be the lucky girl.

I made the background with Tando Creative Circles mask and molding paste. Then I stamped the Window , cut it and adhered it over the canvas. The fence was die cut and  then stamped with Wood grain stamp.
I added flowers and flower pots and now  for the fun!
Paints! Paints! Paints. I am not really sure what I used here. I think there were Gelatos first. Then I decided that I need shimmery look and I grabbed some Lumiere acrylics. Then I added some Pearl Ex   powders and sprayed them with water. Then I added more and more acrylics and then stamped my birdies.

The A2Z Scraplets chipboard was colored with Big Brushes and some glitter over it and glued on the fence side and I made my Home title from some very old Pink Paislee letters, but changed their color to for my final project.

My Sweet lo in UK Scrap 365 print magazine

I finally got a copy of the August issue of Scrap 365 and my lo is here. So glad they published my dear niece adorable page!

Stamping with Big Brushes tutorial

In this short tutorial, made for my Inspired by Stamping DT , I decided to show how to use Faber Castell Design Memory Crafts  Big Brushes and Gelatos on stamping  and not the usual inks and distress stains. The overall technique is the well known and loved masking, but the use of an uncommon coloring  materials makes it  more interesting.
So here we go!
Step 1
Grab your Elegant flowers stamps , your dirty clear acrylic block (in my case not so clear, as I clean it maybe twice a year), you Red set of Faber Castell  Design Memory Crafts  Big Brushes (the only set I own and I have one green , I sure need more) and a pre- made tag. You can make your own tag, but as far as I have some, I use my  Ranger's ones. Stamp all 3 roses  on some scrap cardstock and cut them to use as your masks. Some of us keep those masks for a future use and even laminate them. Not me. I am a very messy and unorganized stamper, so I most probably never find  those masks later. Anyway, the chance to use the same stamp in  a real time is  close to zero, so I  make them for the particular project only.

Now add the Brush  ink over the biggest Rose stamp as shown. This is a kind of a permanent ink and it's pretty much dry in 5 seconds, also we do need some heating later as it bleeds with water.

Stamp the rose on the corner. Now a quick reminder : when you make masking, stamping the upper image is the first one you stamped. So if I want the biggest rose to be the upper one on my tag I need to stamp it first and so I did.

Step 2
Adhere the largest rose mask with some  non permanent tape as shown. Believe me or not, but I use this drugstore paper tape as it's cheap and always at home.

Stamp the second rose , using another color of Big brush, over the masked largest rose and from the both sides. Leave your mask as is, we will use it later.

Now cover the upper rose  with  your second  rose mask and stamp the smallest rose over it as shown .Stamp a partial image of the smallest rose over the large corner rose (your mask is still over the image).Leave all masks  in their place as we are not done yet.

Step 3
Stamp  your leaves stamp with Green Big Brush over the upper rose and in the middle.

Our stamping is over and now for some water fun.
Step 4
Pull some Faber Castell's DMC Gelatos, try to figure the colors that work best with your images and spread 2 lines of each color over the non sticky mat.

Add some water . I added too much, but it still works.

Grab your tag over the watered paints and do it a few times. This paint is very delicate, so we just make a mute and light coloring and then I mixed it with fingers. And yes, my fingers are pretty much dirty when I craft, but this is a water color and you can clean it in a second.

Your tag is done. Heat it with any heat gun or just let it dry in the sun , then iron it if you want (or not... ). And now you can use your finished tag as a part of your card as I did here or to keep it for a future use on your altered project or scrapbooking page

Treasure life ATC

This project was published in SNR July 2012 issue
Sometimes I craft ATC just for fun. With anything I have on my craft table and with no clue what it's going to be in the end.
This one is just this kind of ATC.
I used 7 Gypsies papers and transparency, The Rubber Cafe stamps, Tim Holtz word stickers, lot of inks, twine and  Want2Scrap piece of a chipboard. I really like the quote I stamped on this piece.

Big cousin and you

This page was made for A2Z Scraplets August new release and I used the Bonsai tree- not new and the new Cousin title for this page.
This is my second son Amir and my little niece- not so little anymore as this photo is pretty old.
I made some handmade flowers from  ribbons and used Cosmo Cricket products on this page.
And some close ups

My No Name wall deco: Tando Creative fluorishes hop

Lately I decided to give up with a manicure and to let my fingers be dirty and this piece is the result of this decision. So this piece was made for this month Tando Creative blog hop and this month it's all about Fluorishes. So if you came from Tando blog- you on a right way as I am the very first on this hop.
The only Fluorish I have in my stash was this jourmaling piece and it was just perfect for my embellishment cluster).
Totally mixed media acrylic piece, made from both sides, using templates with gesso, stamping (The Rubber Cafe), Faber Castell Design Memory Crafts  Gelatos- all possible colors I have, mists, distress stains and much more dirty products.

The wooden frame I made with twine is totally recycled one (I just pulled some pieces from our living room vase).

The embellishment cluster was made with Tando Creative chipboard, Handmade Halo brass butterfly trinket and clock (painted with  shimmery paints); I also painted Handmade Halo resin leaves and made this IAMROSES flower cluster all misted  and I really love this piece!
And  now for the next person on this hop: ZOE
We also have a small giveaway on this hop. SO please, be  a follower in our blogs and comment on each post and then one very lucky person will get a bunch of gorgeous chipboards to play with.
I enter this piece  to Limor's Weber MM Faber Castell Design Memory Craft August contest.

Time to live your dream

About 4-5 month ago I ordered a bunch of unmounted stamps from VivaLasvegastamps and as those were unmounted bare red rubber ones, I never used them. Until today. So I spent an hour to make some mounts (just  think foam as I don't have any  real mount in hand) and I decided to play with some of them a bit . (This was this 60% off order - I think, or 40% off, not sure, so I ordered maybe 3 dozens and that's why it took an hour to mount them all).

On this altered chipboard tray piece I used 2 backgrounds and 4 vintage image stamps and I used Faber Castell gelatos and Big Brushes  to stamp and to make shadows, some Clearsnap clear shimmery mist all over the piece and some blue mist to fit the flower colors to this project.
The frame was painted with white crackled paint, colored with 2 colors of gelatos, inked with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with copper powder, so was the metal charm too.
The title was just colored, covered with glaze and sprinkled with clear glitter.
The charm and title are from Handmade Halo shop, flowers from Iloveroses, word stickers- Tim Holtz and the overall idea- totally me.(our dancing addiction )

Altered chipboard jewelry with Tando and Prima

Cupcakes toppers? Or bookmarks? or...

I am not really sure how I should call this " signs". I made them for Wow embossing powders team post and was asked to make something for a party. I am not a " party" making girl, my kids are adults and I never made all those fancy " for one day to use" crafts.
So I decided to make those signs: can be used as cupcakes toppers or place cards if we add names and then can be used as cute kids bookmarks.
I used Echo Park paper and stickers, Spellbinders dies and a lot of Wow powders, even over the wooden sticks. And just for a record: no bonding needed, clear embossing ink and powders and it stays forever on the wood.

Go!

Playing with Gelatos again: this time to make some lettering over my new page background and then I just added all those letters randomly on the other side of my page (kind of a game for a game page). The title Go was also inked with blue gelatos and I colored around those clear clouds to make them stand.
It's totally Basic Grey page, all but paints and a border punch.

Be mine card

Lately I make some cards here and there that are not stamped at all, just a simple embellished collage ones. This is one of those cards.

Jillibean products with some Epiphany Crafts epoxies, twine and pins. And my addictive washi tapes too.

This is a kind of a project anyone can do : you don't need to be a stamper or to cut  with dies. Just good glue and some die cut  products in hand.

August release recap with Inspired by Stamping

OK, I am totally sure that my August release IBS stamps are lost, but this is not a reason for not showing you my very new layout made with most gorgeous IBS Elegant Flowers (just back in stock in the shop) and to make some tribute to all those fabulous stamp set I did get during my DT term (much more to come if our post service will work properly).
So this page was made with Lily Bee Designs papers , Elegant flowers stamps and this time I stamped with Faber Castell's Big Brushes and I LOVE!! them. Permanent, vibrant, easy to stamp and as I just have about 5-6 of them I am sure those will be my next shopping addiction.

Another addiction shown on this page are those washi tapes I used  over my page.
Some  (A LOT) of Handmade Halo new products were used here too and I changed the lace color with the very same Big Brush and made a border with it too.

I also used the sketch  from Sketch n' Scrap  and will enter it to this challenge.
Hope you like this page and those gorgeous IBS stamps, but the new one, released in August, are even more gorgeous. Just jump to IBS shop and buy some.
And as those Roses stamps were on my desk, I made a card, using Jillibean Soup products and just the same stamps and Big brushes, this time over kraft cardstock.

Other girls have some great projects to show you too. Visit their blogs and enjoy!
