Childhood moments with my grandson

New page made with MME products and stamps and my dear Omer's lovely photo.I used A2Z Scraplets title, Core' dinations cardstock, Cherry Lynn Designs dies and a lot of love.

Be Happy tag and a small tutorial

I made this tag as a final project for my monthly tutorial for Inspired by Stamping.
I used Ranger big tag, painters tape, IBS stamps, Wow embossing powder, Tando Creative chipboards, Handmade Halo fabric patch and resin flower and my own handmade beaded flower branch. The background was misted with 3-4 difeerent colorsand then cleaned over the embossed parts.

Use a big tag for this project as a small one has less space for stamping over it. I used Ranger's pre-made tag, but you can do one of a solid cardstock. Tear some random pieces of painters tape (washi will do, but costs more) as shown on the tag.  Then stamp with clear embossing ink totally randomly. I used the square background stamp as I just want a bit of the stamp to be my actual background. If you use smaller stamps it's possible that no stamping at all will be shown later.
Add a lot of light color embossing powder over your stamped background. I used  Pastel Yellow, you can use white, but colored powder gives your stamping more interest. Heat emboss  your tag all over and let it cool. Then take away all tapes (it should be easy, but don't pull too hard as you may damage the cardstock). Now we have a partial stamping all over, not too much, but it was a purpose of this technique.

Now  for the misting part. Pick 2-3 colors you want to use according to your final project colors. I picked this 3 colors, but it's totally up to you.

Mist your tag and let it dry for a few minutes (or more, depends on your mists). If you don't have mists you can use distress inks, Gelatos or any other water colors.
You background is done and you can embellish your tag as much  as you want.
I used a fabric fairy sticker (it's not a stamp but printed adhesive fabric). Painted and heat embossed 2 chipboard shapes  and stamped Inspired by Stamping sentiment to fit the bookplate.  The beaded mimosa flowers are my own beaded work, also this was not made for this project, but for my handmade embellishments box. The huge bow was embellished with painted resin flower and my tag was ready and done.

Visible Image Friday: make you layout stamped background

This page was spotlighted in Prima blog!
Hello, my dear stamping friends! Today I am going to show you my layout with a totally handmade background using Visible Image stamps and some masks and I really like the final result.
The background paper was a kind of light peach one and the small paper pieces are Prima, but as you can see it's hardly seen on my finished page.
First I used some masks with black and white gesso, then I stamped the frame with Visible Image Grunge  Flourish  stamp . One side  of this stamp has just this distressed look, so I made my stamping around the page with this edge and clear embossing powder and then heat embossed it all with black embossing powder. Then I stamped Grunge Polka Dot Background around the page and heat embossed them with purple embossing powder. Black Mememto was an ink to make some random stamping with the Flourish  part of the first stamp and the script is a part of Men's Collage stamp.
But as you can see all page was heavily misted (please, don't ask for mist colors names, it's just " take whatever you have and fit your  page and spray it around" technique).
After my background was made and dry I made the actual page in my usual messy style using a lot of Prima goodies, A2Z Scraplets chipboards (all misted) and some Handmade Halo lace (it was in this perfect peach color, but I changed it to " no name" color after all.
As you can see on this close up.

And now for some Tips on Friday:
Don't afraid to make you own backgrounds. Maximum you  used a piece of cardstock and some inks and mists.  If you don't like it you can make another one. The cost is close to zero.
Use parts of your stamps as you never know what will be seen after all if it's a scrapbooking page.
Let it dry! Let it dry a lot unless you want your glue to become useless (as it was with my page).
And the last tip for today: you never know  the final colors of your misted project. Just try to stick to you photo colors and colors of embellishments you want to use. But if not- just mist you embellishments as well (I did it with black flowers that were in other color)

Hope you got some inspiration  from this piece and now jump to Visible Image shop to get you some great and non expensive stamps. New releases are just around the corner! See you next Friday with more Visible Image inspiration!

The good life

This new nature page is really about a good life. Israeli end of the summer (some flowers are dead already ) is pretty good. Hot, but the sea shore is close, the weather becomes better and we usually go to some  vacation around this season.
And it was made for the Robin's Nest Earth Day blog hop. Earth is nature and nature is this page.

So this new page  was made with Robin's Nest products, A2Z Scraplets April release (I also used the inside chipboard from the new releases frame here). I made this page pretty much minimalistic, to showcase the gorgeous papers and  chipboards. All those were hwat embossed with Wow Embossing powders : Suzy West Cable Red, Earthtone Olive and Metalic Rich Pale Gold all around the page.
I also added some Blumenthal Lansing goodies I won (those  rose and leaves buttons are just the most pretty ones I had).

I used Robin's Nest Black with Gold swirls, Newspaper, White on white swirls and Classic Roses for the punched circle border. A few metal gold and red RN ribbons were added too and some Dew Drops from Parisian mini and Mocha Trail sets. The flower is RN die cuts from the flower set. I used the smaller ones here, heat embossed with red embossing powder and I made my flower center with a big red brad covered with 7 Dew Drops as a small flower over the brad.

Halloween card kit on Scraputante: my reveal

Hello, my dear crafting friends! This is my very first post for Scraputante shop and kit club. I was picked as a card/mini albums designer and I decided to make this a bit different. I am not going to make my usual style projects(messy, clustered and so non classic), but to try to make 4 cards in 4 different styles. It's also a kind of self training: can we go out of our comfort zone and to craft " for all"? You tell after I show you my cards made with Scraputante new kit.

So I begin with a first card: Clean and Simple style.

There were a few envelopes in this kit, I used 2 to decorate and one as my card matting. Other 2  were not used at all: one card was too long for the envelope and one was too bulky.

Clean and simple card and envelope: one paper layer over the basic cardstock . Hand cut of 3 matting squares with 3 images, all adhered with 3d foam that was included in the kit. Sentiment hand cut and adhered the same way. For the envelope I used border punch, but it's not a must. Beginners level of card making, can
be done even  with kids and a little help from adults.

Classic card: 3 layers of paper, all punched and layered one over another. Upper part covered with a paper strip and twine bow. Main image adhered in the middle as a focal point , sentiment on the corner. My tip here: if your shapes are translucent as here, use Glossy Accents or some similar very clear glue to adhere them over your project.

Shabby card: Also making shabby is pretty hard with Halloween, the huge flower and clustering make this card made in a shabby style. I used one of the envelopes as my  second layer as I wanted to maximize my kit supplies and not to use another black cardstock. 3d foam are great for this clusters of embellishments and
the only add on is this white pen faux stitching.

Grungy card: I used kit supplies only for this card, so the distress look comes from edge distressing and brown inking. If you have same cuts, you can make the 3d image using 3d foam. Big circles on your paper are great to add some small buttons over the circles and do it  randomly. Ink the basic card too for the same
vintage look.

For this card I made an envelope: same 3 circles , but flat if we want it to be mailed after all.

So if you need to make a few fast Halloween cards- here is a link to the shop again. Also a lot of new and great products are in the shop and lot of them even on sale.
Hope you like my cards and see you next month

Inspired by Stamping October final recap

Hello again, my dear stamping friends! Today is a last day for our October release on Inspired by Stamping and I just hope you enjoyed our previous projects a lot.
For today I made a gift wrapping: I used Christmas Post Add on set together with IBS previous Post card set and  added a sentiment from Holiday Expressions new October set over my original sized post card. I used  5 stamps from this Post set, 2 from the old and all together my post card was stamped with 8 different stamps in 3 colors. Then I used our new flowers and ribbons to make this box wrapped and the only things that are not from IBS are those  pose washi tapes. (Maybe Joanna will add then to her shop after she sees how well it works with her stamps).

And here is a full  list of our IBS designers with all our final October recaps. Please, visit them and leave them some love.
Me- here!
Also remember this FREE stamp set you can get with your 50$ order and if you order 100$ you ca get both free sets at once.
See you!
And some challenges too-I like to make my projects according to monthly  challenges to fit :

Visible Image Friday: Live your dreams

Hello, my dear stamping friends! Today is Friday and   starting today, I am going to show you my Visible Image
 projects on every Friday.
As I am a very versatile crafter, I can promise you all possible kind of projects here: from scrapbooking, to altered items, recycling, wearable art, Mixed Media projects and some cards too. Less cards and more of everything else.
I just got  my stamps 3 days ago, so as my first project I decided to make a tag(Mixed Media  small altered  piece, but I had to stay with a small project as I only had 3 days to brainstorm, craft and  to make my post). So here is my project for today.

I love background stamps a lot,  but if as just got a few, one has to be  creative. So I used this Men's  collage stamp, but just a part of it with a script to make the big tag background with black Memento ink. Then I used Clear embossing ink and Cotton Candy Wow Embossing Powder to emboss  the edges. and my outer tag was done.
The central part was made with Bo Bunny paper piece,  that had this "In the moment" print on it  (sorry, dear Bo Bunny. My stamping changed it so much that you can't even recognize your own paper). I stamped the same script part of Men's Collage with Frosty White ink and White Wow Embossing Powder a few times .
Then I stamped some dots around the paper edge with  Grunge Polka Dot Background stamp and heat embossed with the same blue powder. Then the Grunge Flourish was stamped around with black Memento and I added the inned tag over the outer one with 3d  foam glue.

The best ever stamp LIVE YOUR DREAMS was stamped over  some paper leftovers, heat embossed with Gold Glitter powder and cut into 3 pieces. This stamp is just perfect as is, not cuts, but I had to cut to fit the tag this time.

The tag was half empty in my own opinion , so I went to my chipboard box and here it was, this vintage candles piece from A2Z Scraplets. Some clear ink, some gold glitter powder and it was almost done. Wait, not yet. Now for more embellishments: colored lace under the inner tag, own brass charm for the wisdom of life, metal  brass and paper charm (it's not a stamped image, just a piece of fancy paper  handmade in Handmade Halo shop.) Small key to open the dream box on the corner. One  huge fancy bow and some pins. This was a moment I decided to stop. I want to showcase the stamps, not my  continuous embellishing addiction. And then I felt that  this piece is too monochromatic. Kind of I have  " ton of one color, kilo of  second color and no gram of the third color..."  A few red paint (blood?) drops and it's all done. And I like it a lot. I feel a real connection to this art piece.
Tips on Friday
Here is one of my best tips for your all: when you want to heat emboss your stamped image with white powder, don't use clear ink. Use white pigmented ink only: it gives best results. And after years of buying white inks: Clearsnap Frosty White is the best for embossing , also not the best to use "as is" : it never dries-LOL. And for all of you who ask now: I am not designing for this ink company, never did and most probably never will as they don't want out of North America designers. So this promo is just as this is the best white ink for embossing from my own point of view. If you know about another great white ink, please tell me too.
And 2 more small tips (you most probably know all of them, but if not...). Use the small leftovers to stamp on them if your stamps are almost solid, as I did with my title stamp. Nobody sees the paper after all and you already have it on your table. Save the Earth- use it!
The last tip for today: to make paint drops you can use a long thin piece of the leftover cardstock that is already on your crafting table. Just dip it into the pain jar and wave around the finished art piece. Don't afraid about drops covering some embellishments. Random is random is random.

Hope you got some inspiration  from this piece and now jump to Visible Image shop to get you some great and non expensive stamps. New releases are just around the corner! See you next Friday with more Visible Image inspiration!

Inspired by Stamping October release- Day 2

Hello, my dear stamping friends! Today is Day 2 for our Inspired by Stamping new release. We have the most gorgeous stamp sets to show and from tomorrow all of them can be found in IBS shop together with great X- mas flowers and new ribbons.
There are 3  new stamp sets I used for this release day.
The first one is this most gorgeous Festive Frames set. I used one frame and one sentiment on my Snow globe shaped card. Both were stamped with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with  some glitter silver powder. I am not celebrating X- mas, but Hanukkah; but with those most versatile stamp sets I was able to make " all purpose" projects that can fit  every winter holiday.

This project will be published in December 2012 issue

My second project for today was made with Holiday Expressions set.
Again, I made a gift tag- a very huge one- using this most general Warm Holiday Wishes sentiment from this set and  even added some Stars of David to make it both winter and Hanukkah gift tag.

My last project for today are a necklace and a round Winter gift tag. I made a charm for the necklace  on shrink plastic, stamping with blue ink and   using  my most favorite set from this month release: December 25 Labels
This project will be published in December 2012 issue

Then I added this chipboard gift tag and stamped just the same stamp  image on paper- this time with Memento permanent ink and as my charm is very small, you can actually see the image on my tag.
And here are other fantastic projects made by a second part of our design team. Please visit them and leave them a lot of love. As you can see we also have a giveaway on IBS blog and a free stamp set with every 50$  order. We have also free shipping with every 25$ order. And last, but bot least- comment and follow all of us to win a great gift certificate to the shop.  During this month all of us will use those FREE stamps to show you how gorgeous they are and they can be totally free if you order in the shop.
So here other DT members blogs for you to visit:
Me- here!
See you tomorrow with a post  showing all IBS October release and then a day after come back to see my final recap using some more of those stamp sets. See you!
