Art in the tin

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my  new art adventure. This time I made an ART TIN.
This is just a way to contribute to my love to art with this small, but yet very artistic  altered tin creation.
The plain  silver metal tin was the beginning. First I altered the lid using Rubber Dance stamps with pigmented Crafter's Clearsnap ink and black embossing powder. This was not the usual way to stamp over bare metal. The usual way is to use solvent  permanent inks. But then isn't art an experiment? So this was my new experiment and it worked!
The stamps I used were from different Rubber Dance sets, but all the sets are totally " artsy".
The face was from Collage Mix set.
The Bingo card from Art Backgrounds 2 set.
The G 53 token from Collage Elements 1 set.
I also used a nature branch stamp from  Vintage Birds set.
After I stamped the images and heat embossed them I added a mix of Ranger alcohol inks over the lid  to make this artistic painted background.
The Art title was made with Makin's Clay white air dry clay and stamping into the wet clay. I use  small Art word from Da Vinci set and then colored it with one of my alcohol inks and glued over with a good jewelry clay.

Now I moved to the inside of my art tin. First I stamped the left panel and the half of right  panel. The stamping was made over white thick cardstock with the same pigmented ink and the same embossing black powder. I picked the small artistic stamps  that fir the tin size and added parts of big backgrounds.
The art doll image is from Collage elements 1 set.
The music background is a part of a very large  Music notes background stamp.
The  text is a part of Collage mix set.
On the right side I stamped  artistic Number strip with the very same text background. Both stamped pieces were inked with  a bit of alcohol inks leftovers.
Then I added the artistic trinkets inside the box.
The three faces were made with silicone mold and Makin's Clay  White clay. I inked all  dried faces with some alcohol ink and gave them this funny colored look.  Both  sides of the tin were covered with a thin layer of ETI  Easy Cast resin and some more trinket were added inside: a chain, Tim Holtz token, some metal parts and an old broken paint brush. You don't need any glue to fix them all inside the tin if you use clear resin as your sealer.

And is my beauty again!
Can you use it for something? Maybe. Is it pretty? Sure. Is it the real Art? Most probably...

Page intro:
Making toddler's pages with " adult" products can be a great challenge. Masking it with 10 things list could be even bigger challenge. So I was challenged twice and I think the final result is pretty good. I used Canvas Corp products  that by chance were a good fit to my darling 4 years old grandson's photo and stayed with this blue- Kraft- red , black and white colors and boy embellishments and I made a great list with ten things I love about this age of innocence. You are invited to read it and I think it's universal! All four years old are good and believe in fairy tales. I just want them to stay that way forever!

Create travel layout

This layout was published in Create magazine May issue.
Project intro:
I love to travel and I adore to scrap my travel photos. But then, as we travel a lot, I have loads of non scrapped photos and the only way to showcase them is to make multi photo layouts. So this is a kind of this multi photo layout: 5 photos from the same location, also I am not sure is was the very same day. Similar colors and smells and views and all together arranged to one single page layout.
I used themed  Oriental paper pad from PHP and added a bunch of Travel stickers to frame all those photos and to make the " eye movement" from one photo to another. Them I had to make a real title and the place and time were added with gold Thickers. Good Morning, Vietnam! I was there and would come back!

Faux wood tutorial for Bella Crafts Publishing

Hello my dear crafty friends! Those who know me also know that I am a real " faux crafty" person.
I mean I love to find  my own frugal ways to get supplies that are not available in Israel or at least to find a way to make a very similar ones. Wooden pieces are one of those products.
So this is my Faux wood tutorial made for those who love wooden pallets on the wall, but can't buy them as they are far away from any craft shops, like I am or can't afford to ship them from USA  to wherever they live. This was the main reason to try to make my own" wood"  and it's quite a success.
You can see the full tutorial and much more photos in Bella Crafts blog!

Art ATC with Rubber dance, Tando and Earth Safe Finishes

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Today I am going to share a couple of ATC made with Rubber Dance stamps and Tando masks and chipboards.

As you can see the theme of both is a vision of art or a Muse. So first I stamped those fantastic Rubber Dance sayings with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white powder.
Than I made those eyes and splatters using Tando masks and Earth Safe Finish Texture paste.
Both pieces were painted  with distress inks and then I added a pieces of  Tando chipboard clock that was painted with Earth Safe Finish Chalk paint in Huckleberry cobbler paint.  The painted pieces were covered than with ESF No Voc Varnish.
Those are the stamps I used from Rubber Dance:

All you need are a couple of punches to make the border, circle cutter, pink/ light purple ink to ink the edges and some accent dots, such as enamel dots  and pearls. Everything else are just the gorgeous PHP Colorways Noir collection' products and my own lovely granddaughter's  perfect photos.

Hello Love card with IBS

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new post!
This time I made a card with gold- red and white Love colors and used this gorgeous Inspired by Stamping new released Paris Love  stamp from the set.
I stamped with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with gold powder and decided not to color the image as this card has three colors already and doesn't need any more colors to be a fancy Love themed card.
I added some die cuts, some puffy stickers and even some bling and still it's a kind of a CAS card after all.

Dream in color art pages with Tando

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my Peel it back Tando weekly post.
I am not really sure what this challenge we - the DT girls- got; so I decided to peel the paint over my double art journal spread and I made this using acrylic paints and pure medical Vaseline (I think in USA they call it Petroleum). I used a few of Tando  stencils to make this page and it's really " stencils only" art adventure.
The left page was made with Tornado stencil and texture paste and then I used Gelatos to color over the dry paste. I added this Tando Speech Bubble chipboard with my own hand writing on both pages and added a bit of golden mist all over the finished pages.

The right page was made with two stencils: the  Giovanna -Glasses and the Giovanna- Eighties stencils.  Same technique and the result is so much different! I peeled some paints mostly over this page and even over the girls image; as you most probably imagine Vaseline just resist the acrylics and we can wipe the paint from the covered sides with a dry paper towel.
Products used:
 Giovanna- Eighties stencil
Giovanna - Eighties

Giovanna - Glasses

King of Steampunkland

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here and I welcome  you to my new ETI post.
Today I am going to share the easy and fun way to make your resin lovely Steampunk doll. Actually my doll is a King of  Steampunkland and was even sits on his throne, as you can see.

So here  is the product list:
Metal pieces- from here and there and some Tim Holtz
Micro beads- Martha Stewart
Chipboard- Creative Embellishments
Clear embossing ink
Embossing powder- WOW! Embossing Powders
Face mold
Copper wire

Easy steps to make this project:

1.Spray Mold Release Conditioner over the big and small molds; let them dry and repeat the procedure. This step is very important as releasing your casted pieces from this kind of mold can be mission impossible without this Release Conditioner.
Mix a  total of 4 Oz (2+2) from Easy Cast Resin and mix it according to manufacturer's instructions. Add a couple of drops of Amber pigment to your mixed liquid resin  and mix it for a few second. Put a few small metal pieces inside the molds and add  resin over. Sprinkle a few copper micro beads on the top of your filled mold. Let them dry for at least 24 hours. The more- the better.

2. Release the shapes from the molds and trim the backside with a sharp knife if needed.(Sometimes we have those small leftovers and we need to trip a piece from the back)

3. Now for the fun part: make your art doll with all casted pieces and much more.
First I heat embossed the background chipboard with glitter  teal embossing powder. Then I glued the doll body over the chipboard with jewelry glue. All  outer metal pieces were colored with alcohol ink to get this copper look (most of them were in silver). I made the face using ETI Jewelry Clay and  faces mold and painted it (when it was totally dry) with blue alcohol ink.I then made a couple of copper wire spirals and glued all metal pieces over the resin body.

Look how cute he is! He is sure a King!
Should I make his Queen? Maybe I will when I find more metal trinkets to use.
