Art altered notebook cover with Topflight Stamps

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my last for 2017 Topflight Stamps post.

This time I just used one single Rubber Dance stamps to make the altered cover of the small, card sized, notebook.

This notebook was " striped" from the inside pages that were then added after to cover was altered.

I used fabric for the cover and made it in this messy Mixed Media style using a lot of painted chipboards, texture paste and stencils on the back and a mix of paints and mists to get these grungy colors

The main image was stamped over the thick white cardstock using black pigmented ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
The colors were added with distress inks and some water over it.

Soar door hanger with Topflight Stamps

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Welcome to my new Topflight Stamps post and this time I made a Mixed Media altered wooden door hanger using a couple of delicious Rubber Dance stamps.

The wooden base was  first covered with white gesso and then stencilled texture image were added with a stencil and heat embossed with a mix of embossing powders. Some of the powders were with a bit of glitter.
 The whole piece was then misted with a mix of mists.
Then The Studio Light background was stamped over the textured base to add some interest.
The die cut and the chipboard wing were arranged with a few flowers as the main image base.

The main image was stamped with black pigmented ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder and then colored with Distress Oxide inks and glued on the top.

The Rubber Dance sentiment was stamped as one single stamp and then hand cut to strips and glued in a kind of art journal over the finished piece.

Anything goes with TOPFLIGHT stamps

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my last November Topflight Stamps shop post.

Irit is here and this is our " make it your favorite style" week.

So toady I made an art page using one big Rubber Dance stamps set that can be found in our Topflight Stamps shop.

I really love doing art pages, but this is my very first time to  leave the stamped images in black and white colors and to arrange them over colorful handmade background.

As you can see the background was made with black texture paste and one artistic stencil and then misted with a mix of three delicate colors.
All flowers from the stamp set were stamped with black pigmented ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
Each and every flower was hand cut and some of them were stamped over with the smallest texture stamps from the same set . Actually I used the small stamps as the background filler and the "white spaces over stamps" filler and it worked in the most perfect  way.

The chipboard title was painted in one of the background colors and I added a few splashes of the hot pink to add more interest to the page.

Believe in yourself art page

Hello my dear crafty friends!

 This is designers free style week and Steampunk/grunge is my most favorite style lately.

Add the fantastic Carabelle Studio stamps that you can buy in the shop to my Steampunk mood and you get this Believe in yourself page.

The page is made over a thick A4 size white cardstock.
First I added a few stencils with texture paste and then misted and painted them with a mix of Distress inks and different mists to get this vintage background. A few Carabelle Studio stamps  were stamped with permanent black ink to add some interest to the background.
Then I added a cluster made of thin chipboards and stamped the Carabelle Steampunk heart to be hand cut, misted and added over the cluster.
The red paint drop were added to imitate the blood drops of the heart.

The sentiment was made with a few Rubber Dance stamps that were stamped over black cardstock using clear embossing ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
The sentiment was actually made as a collage of four different stamps. This sentiment stamps set is just the blessing for any art journal artist as you can make dozens of different inspirational sentiments just with  one stamp set and each and every sentiment is totally unique.

Summer Holiday Fun card with Topflight stamps

Hello my dear crafty friends!
This is Irit here today and I am going to share my Summer Holiday Fun Mixed Media card.
One of the great things of Topflight Stamps shop are the full themed sets from different around the world stamp companies.
And when our topic is Summer/Sea/Nature some of the best are Rubber Dance stamp sets.

This is a set I used for my Mixed Media Nautical card: Retro Beach stamp set
To make this card I used not less than 9 stamps from this set and they connect in the most perfect way to make any Nautical project.





The background lower layer was stamped with the nest stamp all around. I used white embossing powder and them painted the embossed image with emboss resist technique to get the outer frame for my card.
The inner " post card" was stamped with black embossing powder and the main image was colored with distress markers.

The background around the main stamped image was painted with a mix of blue paints and then some stencilled dots were added with clear/ gold texture paint. Some misted splashes were the last color touch for the card.

Small sea cratures were stamped and them hand cut to make the corner embellishments cluster on the right.
Three stamped hand cut words made the left corner sentiment.

As you can see no embellishments were used to make this card, but stamped image and mediums. I only added the twine piece to connect the corners to the anchoir.

Happiness door hanger

Hello my dear crafty friends!
My name is Irit Shalom and I am thrilled to be one of the new Topflight Stamps Design Team members.
This is my very first post here in the blog and it's a kind of my introduction. So we were asked to make something in our style and I had a huge problem as I am not sure what my style is.
Usually I call it " my no style" style, as I work in every possible style, but cute.
My style depends on the products I use, my state of mind and the time I have  to make the project.
So sometimes this can be a big dark industrial or Steampunk project. Sometimes it can be shabby pastel or brown vintage one. Some days I am in this clean and simple state of mind and some days it's graphic or totally classic project.
So today I am going to share one of my most visible projects and I call it " light Mixed Media". By " light" I mean that I used mediums and even a lot of them, but the products are not totally clustered and you can see the actual products and to be able to identify them when you are going  to shop.
And let me promise you that Topflight Stamps have the best non USA stamps collection  and not only in USA!

So here is my project for today- altered Mixed Media door hanger made in a kind of modern and even graphic way.

The base of this project is a very thick chipboard door hanger (Tando Creative UK) that was covered with Art Anthology stencils and mediums. Then the chipboard hexagons were added and I moved to the stamping.
I need to say that one of my always used techniques in stamping is heat embossing. I love the shiny result of heat embossed images and the easiness of coloring inside when you heat emboss your stamped images.
I used two different  Rubber Dance stamp sets from Topflight Stamps shop and this is a company that I designed for two and a half years in the past, so I love their stamps a lot and I am very familiar with them.

Happiness is a state of mind is a most perfect sentiment stamp from Rubber Dance Something Wonderful sentiments set.This is a MUST TO HAVE set for any Mixed Media artist!

Holidays door hanger with Rubber Dance

This foam door hanger was made for print publication in Just Christmas cards and decorations! and was not just printed, but made a cover of this publication in 2016.
I just forgot to share it before.
The front and the background were made with Tando stencils , texture paste and mists.
The stamped image is from Rubber Dance company.
The sticker is from Paper House.

Holiday gift tag with DV

 Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my first September post for Die Versions.
This is a third Holidays tag I share here already  and as you can see each one is totally unique and totally different.
On this tag I used Die Versions Winter Cottage die that was die cut from patterned cardstock and layered over the double sided glue sheet. The gaps were filled with clear  sparkling glitter and  can be seen on the tag.
All other pieces are chipboards that were the perfect fit to this Die Versions die.
I used Canvas Corp products, Tando chipboards and Rubber Dance stamps.

Holiday gift tag with Die- versions

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my   new post made for Die- Versions blog.
This is  another Christmas tag as you can see and this tag was as the previous ones print published in a Holidays issue of Just Christmas cards and decorations! a month or so ago.
As you can see the main image on this tag is this fancy Die Versions  Delicate Snowflake that was die cut from a patterned paper and then heat embossed with embossing blue glitter. I made the background shape with hand cutting around the die and layered them one over another.
Other products used are Canvas Corps cardstock, sentiment stamping and some Paper House stickers added for the fancier look.
With this Die Versions die you can make tons of tags in a reasonable time schedule : cut the snowflakes,layer them, embellish them and just add to any premade tag with a small stamped sentiment over.

Makin's Clay tutorial:Mermade Clay Frame

  

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my July Makin's Clay tutorial.
Summer is here and this is a toally summer project made today- easy to follow and almost anyone with a basic skills and Makin's Clay products can make it in just an hour (without counting the drying time).
I made the clay frame to frame my own art stamped piece (no tutorial for the stamping or making Mixed Media art here). I made this Mermade piece with Stampendous stamp, Tattered Angels mists and paints, heat embossing and it was bare.
I had to add something to make it more artistic and the clay frame was my first choise.
So here is a tutorial for the frame and you sure can frame any sea sna sand piece of art, but this frame was made over the art piece that was larger than the finished seen one.

1. Roll the whole package of White Makin's Clay with Makin's Clay Roller from the Roller and Cutter set over Makin's Clay Large Cutting Mat. 

2. When the clay is flattened to the siZe that fits the art piece to be framed use the usual metal ruler and Makin's Clay Cutter to cut 4 equal pieces that will make the frame.

3. Arrange all 4 cut pieces to make a kind of a frame over the art piece. Don't try to make it pretty and stright. We will do this step later.

4. Make the waves texture using Makin's Clay roller over the Curly Beard texture sheet  from Texture Sheet set E.  Dont' try to make stright lines of your frame yet. It will be done during the next step.

5. Now take you cutter again and cut the left overs from the outside and inside the frame as shown.

6. While your frame is drying make sea shells  and other sea creatures with Sea shells  Push mold  and white clay.

I made a bit more than one of each piece, but didn't use  them all on my final project.

7. Paint your dry  clay shells with a mix of Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam (this is a glittery watery kind of a paint and leaves a lot of surface non painted, but that was what I wanted). Let the paint dry.

8. Paint the textured frame with a mix of Tattered Angels High Impact paints and a bit of Glimmer Glam  and let it dry.

9. Arrange the painted clay shells over the frame corner  and add a few pearl beads around and inside the frame.

And this is how my finished project looks!
