Dance tag with Gelli plate prints

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Mixed Media tag post.
This double tag was made with Gelly Plate mono prints and Rubber Dance gorgeous Happy Dancing!stamps.I used Tattered Angels High Impact paints over Gelli Plate and as you can see the colors are just perfect!
The colors of my mono print were just perfect for plain black ink stamping of the dancers and I added the stamped word Dance on the top tag too.The background was stamped with Rubber Dance Flourishes around both tags.

Gift card holder tutorial with Rebecca Baer

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Gift Card Holder tutorial.
This project is made with Rebecca Baer stencils and Canvas Corps products mostly (all brands); some medium I used are from DecoArt and I just added a few embellishments.
So here is a finished project:

And now for all steps to make this beauty:
1. Fold a piece of CC black and white cardstock to the measurments shown.

2. Cut a piece of backside  Mixed Media  Origins- Hoot cardstock as shown and fold to fit the basic cardstock.

3. Paint the Hoot cardstock with the mix of  Tattered Angels High Impact and Glimmer Glam paints to get the similar color as shown.

4. Use Rebecca Baer Mosaic stencil with DecoArt Crackle paste and add the  paste over stencil over painted cardstock.

5. Mist the dry crackle paste with a mix of Tattered Angels Coffee Shop and Sugar Maple Glimmer Mists.
Let it dry.

6.While the cover is drying make the central piece from CC Black chipboard (folding  it on 3'' and 6'' as shown). Make the same folds on 12''*6'' piece of  Mixed Media Origins Wings cardstock. Cut 12 calendar pieces from  Heirloom Collection: Calendar Months.

7.Glue the black tri- fold inside the cover as shown.
Cut two  pieces from Spring Showers: Spring Flowers Reverse on Ivory cardstock that will cover the top and the the bottom of the inside. Color both pieces with different Tattered Angels paints/ mists and add White  Chalk mist over the painted cardstock. Colors used for those flowers are Glimmer mist Dragonfly,Glimmer mist Black cherry,Glimmer mist Blarney and Glimmer mist Fully Purple.

8. Add Hot pink and Aqua High Impact paints over the  dry misted cover.

9. And now to the finished project with a bit of explanation about the coloring inside the holder.
This is a full opened holder.
The Wings cardstock was misted with  the same Tattered Angels mists  used for coloring; then folded to make a pocket and  12 calendar pieces were connected with painted cloth pin and added inside the pocket.
Four black photo corners were added on the bottom part to keep the Gift Card inside.
The small Velcro circle was added on the top flap and then to the bottom outside for the closure.

10.This is a partly closed holder. The side flaps are closed and I used Rebecca Baer Enchanted Vine stencil with DecoArt Modeling paste on both flaps. When flaps were dry I painted them with the same Aqua, Olive and Hot pink paints.
Two Kraft tags from Tags- The Watering Can were  also painted and added over the flaps with a string of green burlap fabric.

And the close - up to the  inner parts and tags:

11.  The closed holder was embellished with a couple of metal pieces and a few pearls. The metal pieces were painted with TA Rustic Glimmer Glam.

Use Tando package for your altered art

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Tando post.
This week we were challenged to use  Tando packaging for our art and this is what I made: a kind of art piece where I made my upper sentiment and add one stamped on the bottom.
I used the longest possible Tando packaging cardstock that is inside each and every Tando product, the grey one. And it has the hole that you can use to hang the final project or to add a ribbon or whatever.
I dry embossed it from the top and then from the bottom as it's too long to fit any embossing folder.
Then I painted it over with a mix of DecoArt Media line metallic paints and then I added even more texture with Tando Doilie mask and DecoArt texture paste.
And then I painted over it again and again till I got this lovely tone of gold .
Tando Zipper was painted with black  and gold acrylics and glued over the packaging piece.
Some white paint borders were added and then I made this " UNZIP YOUR MIND" stickers sentiment and added the stamped one using Two Paper Divas stamp.

Memories mini album

Together Mini Album Tutorial

This is a tutorial that was mostly made to show you the easy way to bind small cardstock pages to a self arranged mini  4 1/2*6 1/2'' mini album.  So the instructions were mostly made to show  you how to arrange the binding system with a couple of add- ons on other techniques. I didn't make the full step bu step tutorial for the over  page arrangements as this was actually an issue for another tutorial. For this tutorial I used Bo Bunny oldie, but beloved Weekend Market  collection and each and every  patterned cardstock piece / cardstock sticker is from this collection.

So here we go!
1. Cut three thin chipboard  pieces to two pieces of 4 1/2*6 1/2'' and  cut the third piece to 1  1/4*6 1/2'' size.
Cut the patterned paper to the size shown  to cover  three cardstock pieces. Make the small gap between the chipboard  pieces to allow the paper folding without tearing it. Cut the corners as shown.

2. Glue the outer cover and add an inner patterned paper cover and glue it as shown.

3. Cut another strip of chipboard to 1 1/4*6 1/2'' size and cover it around in the same way as was shown in step 1.

4. Roll natural twine around the covered piece from the previous step as shown. I made 6 strings for my mini album, but you can add one or two more. Each string will give us 4 album pages later (one folded cardstock and both sides.)So those six strings make 24 mini pages for the album.
Tie the knot and secure with 3d foam tape as shown.

5. Glue the binding  system to the inside  of your album. To add a page you just make 9*6 1/2'' piece of double sided cardstock, fold it into a hoaf and insert under one line of twine. With 6 folded pieces added we will have 12  double sided small pages.

6. From this step on I just made a couple of shots to show the major techniques used. The first one was making the outer cover matting and for this technique I used the Bo Bunny collection package (yes, I love to recycle), Rebecca Baer stencil, DecoArt Crackle paste and a lot of waiting time to let this matting dry. Actually after the trimming and embellishing the cover a very little piece of it is seen.

7. Those are the major (almost everything I used ) embellishments that I die cut for the album.
I used Die Versions brand just because I have them and they fit the vintage spirit of this album.
The doilies are from MFT. The black shapes were die cut twice. The  back was die cut from white thin chipboard and the front from black cardstock. When glued one over another I tried to keep a very thin outline of white to be seen to add the dimension. Later each and every  one of black pieces was covered with clear embossing ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder for the shiny look you can see on the cover.
The white chipboard pieces were later heat embossed with copper powder and some blue paint was added for the patina effect too.
The doilies, that were die cut from Bo Bunny patterned cardstock were just glued inside the album " as is".

8. And now for the finished album.
This is a cover with stencilled matting, huge chipboard that was heat embossed into this copper vintage look. Black chipboard made the  scene of a couple in the nature (the album name is Together as you can see).

And now some of the inner pages . I am not going to show all  spreads here, but some of them. Some of the pages are three folds, most of them are just  a piece of folded cardstock inserted into the twine on the back.
For this  front page I use Bo Bunny Dimensional stickers from Timepiece collection.

As you can see each page has the die cut ticket shape matting that can be just left to be seen or can be used as small trimmed photo matting later. Most of the sayings are just cardstock cuts from Weekend Market Bo Bunny collection.

This  is another  page that was embellished with heat embossed die cut.

For some inner pages I used Weekend Market stickers; here and there I added photo corners for the future photos.

And a few more pages to see.

I hope you like my small tutorial and my mini album.

Inspired by Stamping tutorial

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new small tutorial made for Inspired by Stamping!
This time I made a card with my own background cardstock design and this design was made with inks, self made stencil and IBS circle stamps.
So here it is and please feel free to make your  own interpretation of my technique.

1. Make your own circles stencil using thick cardstock and some punches or circle dies.
I used Die Versions Nested Circles dies as they were just on the table.

2. Use your self made stencil with dye inks (Gina K. and Stampin' Up) and make the random pattern with mini ink blending tool (Ranger). I used 4different foams for each color and just keep them for your next blending adventure.

3.Mist the circled background with water and wait to see some spots over the circles. Let it dry!

4.Mist the dry background piece with golden mist (Tattered Angels). Again- let it DRY!

5. Cut the background cardstock to your card desired size and then use the very same inks and stamp Inspired by Stamping Polka Dots  over the background as shown.

6. Die cut black cardstock base with Elisabeth crafts Stitched rectangles and then use the second largest die to die cut your stamped background.

7.Stamp the sentiment with IBS Hello set , black pigmented ink (Clearsnap) and heat emboss it with clear embossing powder. I stamped over the very same water color cardstock as I am going to mist it in a few seconds.

8.Use the smaller dies from the previous rectangles  die set and make one black matting and then die cut the stamped sentiment. Mist the sentiment with the same golden mist and let it dry.

9.Arrange the finished card using the black base, die cut background and the sentiment.
Add silk flowers, 2 pieces of washi tape and some black sequins. (All embellishments are from my old non branded personal stash).
