Celebrate the simple things 3D display

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to me second July inspiration made with Susan K. Weckesser products for her blog.
This month of July were all were inspired by Home Sweet Home things and this 3d small display is my home inspiration.
I have those small chipboard houses from Tando Creative UK for ages and never had a chance to use them. So here is my chance to use Susan K. Weckesser products together with those houses and I made a small tutorial for you all to share:
1. Paint the chipboard houses with white acrylic paint and let them  dry.

2.Use Susan K. Weskesser Color Box mini Pop inks in three colors to color over the white paint.
I used Ice,Fresh and Sky color of those inks. But as I wanted the colors to be light and mute I just wiped  the colors with wet baby wipe.

3. Using Susan's Doodle stencil I made the lines with texture paste over the each chipboard roof shape and after it was dry I painted them with here mini Pop ink in Kiss color.
Cover the  chipboard base  with Live in color cardstock (I used the backside of it ) and distress the edges a bit with a sand paper.

4. Stamp Celebrate the small things saying over the same cardstock with Celebration of Simple Susan's and Untiy co- branded stamp. Glue the stamped saying as shown over the base.

5. Make the " wooden" sign with faux wood (gesso, texture paste, old tooth brush and Susan's mini Pop Cocoa ink. The cut the parts to make this triple arrows sign and  add the Live, Love and Create words that were cut out from Susan's Live in Color Tags cardstock.
Paint the small chipboard windows and doors from the chipboard set with white paint and glue them over the finished houses.

And here is my little 3d display on my  vintage findings shelf!

I really hope that you liked my small tutorial and see you again in two weeks!

Princess lo with Scrapmatts

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Scrapmatts post for July.
As always, I try to showcase different projects and today you will see one  layout, one Mixed Media art piece and one card.
All of them are totally different in colors and styles. All of them have Scrapmatts chipboards/stencils as their  main embellishments and yes- you don't need much more when you have Scrapmatts adorable products.
So this layout is a wedding photo of my lovely daughter around taken about a year ago. I made it as Princess layout and added all those circles made from cardstock on the left. But then I knew that Scrapmatts circled chipboard will add much more interest and yes, you can add background chipboards on the top, not just far behind your papers or photos.
The dark pink splatters were made with Scrapmatts Paint drips stencil and Tattered Angels mist. They look just perfect as the random splashes over the page, but they are totally non random ones.
The fancy lamp was added on the top to become a piece of the photo.
The layered design embellishement was the prefect outline for the bottom of the photo. Happiness title was just a perfect sub- title for this page.
And yes- I also added a window, some heat embossed copper flowers and the Today arrow as my main embellishement cluster.

You make me happy double tag with Honey Bee stamps

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here again and this time with my altered Mixed Media double tag made with Honey Bee stamps.
I love tags! I think those small art pieces are gorgeous and you can make then combined of two or even more tags one over another for the depth and texture.
So this tag was made with actually two separate tags that were connected then one over another.
So the backgrounds and the texture were made with Tando stencils, DecoArt texture paste and a lot, really a lot of DecoArt paints and mists.
After those tags were totally dry I wanted to stamp with Honey Bee stamps over and it was Mission Impossible as the texture was so massive and I had no free space to stamp.
But wait! There is a great way to add stamping over texture when you make your Mixed Media art and it is to stamp over white tissue paper with permanent ink and to glue the whole tissue piece over the creases with gel medium.
So easy to do and so effective!
And that was what I did: I stamped Honey Bee HAPPY EVERYTHING sentiment over the tissue and glued it in the middle of the textured clock.
Then I added a few stamped flowers with the same ink, but directly on the tags using Honey Bee Color My World flowers and embellished with a few wooden elements.
This tag can be a good one for men in our lives too: colors are not too girly and yes, they can  make us happy sometimes!

And if you want to see more of my art you can follow me over my Instagram account @iritshalom2000!
I enter this to a couple of web challenges too:
Things to alter- finally I used their products too and thanks!

Rubber Dance ATC tutorial

Hello my dear friends! Irit from International design team is here  and  I welcome to my Rubber Dance  tutorial.
Today I am going to share an ATC trio made with the new Rubber Dance stamps.
Those new stamps are just perfect for the ATC size and it was just fun to make all three ATC cards at once in a very similar way.
So here is my step by step tutorial:
1. Stamp 3 vintage ads stamps from Vintage Ads new set with clear embossing ink and heat emboss with white embossing powder.
Sorry, i just forgot to take the  photo of this step, but it's easy to follow even without the photo.
2. Mist all three cards with  Tattered Angels mists and add a bit of Glam paint. This paint is very watery and reacts just like mists.
Let your cards dry.

3.Stamp butterflies, a bee  and  a dragonfly over white cardstock using clear embossing ink and black embossing powder.I used the following Rubber Dance stamps: Bee, Dragonfly and Butterflies from Antique Botanicals.

4. Hand cut the stamped and heat embossed images and paint them with High Impact paints (very similar to Silk Acrylics).
Glue the hand cut insects over the ATC cards  totally randomly.

5. Add Tim Holtz saying stickers over the cards and ink the edges with red  and teal paints as shown.

Each blank was covered with gesso and them I stamped with Stampendous stamps using clear embossing ink and heat embossed it with Stampendous heat embossing  products. I used stamps from 4 sets, all from Andy Skinners' line: Curiosity set, Industrial set,Steampunk set and Toxic set.

All heat embossing was made with Stampendous Bronze Jewel kit and Spoonful of Rust kit.

Live to create and Create ot live art tag

Hello my dear crtfty friends and welcome to my very first post made for Susan K. Weckesser blog.
This month we, the designers, were asked to make something with houses. So this is my first post for the theme and I just decided to make a nice and creative tag.
Here is a small tutorial I made for you.
1. Make the basic Kraft cardstock tag and add the second tag, a bit smaller size, made from Susan K. Weckesser cardstock named Color Burst.
the edges with Susan's new Clearsnap Color Pop Mini inks. On this photo I used the Ice one, but later I added the Kiss ink too.
Glue the cardstock tag over the Kraft one and make a hole on the top for the ribbons.

2. Stamp some flowers with Susan's  Unity Celebration of Simple stamp . This set includes 4 flags, but I just wanted the  flowers for this tag. I used Susan's Color Pop Mini Mystery Archival Dye ink  and I didn't try to make the nice stamping as this is just a background add- ons to the patterned cardstock.

3. Mask Tando flat house shaped chipboards with some tape (washi or painter's one, whatever you have) and stamp the lines with another  Susan's stamp from the same  Celebration of Simple stamp set. This time I used clear embossing ink and heat embossed the roof lines with black embossing powder.

4.Cut two cardstock pieces from Susan' s Color Burst  cardstock (the back side this time) and glue them over the houses front.
Paint the roof of each house with Color Pop  Mini Kiss ink, ink the edges of those houses too and heat emboss with clear embossing powders.

5. From this step and on I didn't make any step by step photos as it's clear visible.
I hand cut two sentiment strips using Susan's Live in Color Tags cardstock and inked the edges with the same Kiss  ink.
The small doors and windows chipboards were heat embossed with white embossing powder and glued over the houses.
I also added the white chipboard fence. Both houses were  adhered over the tag and I added some hand cut cardstock  banners under the sentiment.

The double ribbon was tied on the top.

And yes- in my house I live to create and create to live!

I hope you liked my small tutorial and see you in a few days with another Houses inspiration.
