Hi FRIEND CARD

This card was published in Scrapstreet magazine July 2012 issue
My new WOW project this month is a card... After 4 month of scrapbooking, I switched to a card as I wanted to make a different project this time.

So here is my vacation card, using Call me Wow stamp set- all 3 phones, over this October Afternoon travel line papers and stickers.
All stamps were heat embossed with Wow powders: Suzy West Red Cable, Clear Fine and Black Ebony. I also made the black cardstock edges with the same Cable Red powder , also over the black it's not so much red after all.

Bookplates blog hop with Tando Creative

Sometimes I try to make a project that fits more than one DT job or more than one challenge. This lo about me is this kind of a project: I made it with Tando Creative title and a Book plate for the blog hop.
So if you want to hop with us, begin from Tando blog  and I hope we inspire you a bit.
You also can win some Tando bookplates if you comment on every blog on the way (not too many, so do it to win)
I added a lot of Wow Embossing powders over the bare chipboards, cut the swirls and the flowers with Sizzix dies, inked with Qucik Quotes Puffy inks , used my new Teresa Collins paper kit.

And I really like this page for the mute colors of the gorgeous papers and all other products used, that were such a perfect fit to that papers.
Here are the small bookplates I used on this project here

Vintage style HAPPY ANNIVERSARY card

This card was published in Scrapbooking. com magazine October 2012 issue
For a not card maker, I made a few lovely card lately . This is a first one: 7 Gypsies paper , Pretty Little Studio bingo card, ticket and a flash card with stamped sentiment - Inspired by Stamping. Some washi tape, some twine, A2Z Scraplets stars covered with WOW glitter gold embossing powder and He and She  stickers from Simple Stories.

Clean and simple or not so card

My version for clean and simple card: kraft base, Echo Park dotted paper, real cork, 7 Gypsies paper with 6 Inspired by Stamping stamps, like this  tear it notes. It takes 5 minutes to arrange the stamps on the block and 5 more to finish this card. Try it!

Those who do not travel.... collect stamps

Those projects were published in SNR May 2012 issue
This is my another  Mixed Media try- I made 4 inches and just made a strip with all of them and added this THOSE WHO NOT TRAVEL.... sentiment.. I mean, they do not travel, so they collect stamps.
I used this Postage stamp set from The Rubber Cafe for this piece.
2 postage stamps were stamped over the Kraft paper, one over clear vellum and the last one over some patterned paper. All were heat embossed with Clear embossing powder.

Then I used 4 chipboard pieces, covered with Kraft paper, stamped a print background from Steampunk stamp set with Clear embossing ink, heat embossed with White embossing powder and inked the edges with the same ink I used for postage stamping.
The black lines are hand drawn with black Zig pen.
Then some twines were tied around and all 4 inchies were glued over the piece of Lily Bee paper.

The sentiment  was made with Authentique stickers and I also inked all paper piece around.
And then, as the Steampunk stamp set was on the table, I made 3 ATC SET too.
This time the same background was covered with different stamps from this set, some stamped over 7 Gypsies tapes, i used staples, recycled twine, some Tim Holtz metal pieces and  old Step and Time felt letters from Prima.
It says Step in Time for the Journey.

Sky is a limit

This lo will be published in Scrapbooking.com September 2012 issue
My "Flying" grandson Omer's photo was just perfect for this kites and clouds layout, so I decided to call it Sky is a limit and to use Blue Sky Day line from Kite Fliers company I design for.

The basic yellow cardstock from American Crafts was just a right color for this product line; also I am not a big fan of yellows after all.
I made 3 clusters over this page: one over the photo, one cluster of clouds and one journaling cluster on the right bottom using this rule of 3 .
The clouds and kites were hand cut and glued with 3d foam glue and I added one cloud brad and 2 stickers
over the cluster.

The bottom spot was for journaling and was used for it.
The upper, over the photo part, was made with 4 labels.
I decided to use some trendy (also not from KF) washi tape to connect the photo and journaling spot and to make a visual triangle.
Another visual triangle was made with hand cut paper circles added randomly with brads over the page.
2 KF ribbons were added under the photo; one is from Lucky O' collection and was just so perfect for this page.
As the chipboard letters were not so adhesive after all I just added some glossy 3D glue around.

Inspired by Stamping July release- final recap day

This project was published in Scrapbooking. com October 2012 issue
Hello, my dear stamping friends! Today is Inspired by Stamping final July release recap.
I was asked to use today this yummy Yummy Food set and as we are moving to the new house in a few month, I decided   not to use this set for myself (just for now, till we move), but to make a small gift for a friend.
I used Tim Holtz Kraft envelope, embossed with his folder and embellished with  Kaisercrafts wooden shapes on the  stamped blank food label from the set.
I also made a kind of a napkin, with fabric and a metal coin as my napkin holder.
Then I made 4 food labels with Spellbinders dies and Yummy Food set.

I wanted to make more of those labels for this gift, but 4 was a maximum possible number to put into this bag. If you want to make more labels as your gift, go to some box and not an envelope.
I am sure the best way to keep them for ages is to make some lamination, but I don't have a device for it.
And a close up for the embellishment corner.

Inspired by Stamping July release- day 2

Hello, my dear Inspired by Stamping friends! Today is day 2 of our July release hop.
I used 2 new delicious stamp sets on my  day and the first one is Doilies 2 set.
My first project is a new scrapbooking page and I used almost all of this stamps for my fancy stamped and heat embossed background.
As I wanted to showcase the stamps, I made it with a lot of white space and the patterned papers (Teresa Colins)  were added on one lo side only. I also used some Handmade Halo goodies (resins and buttons) over the doilies, added some TC flowers on the corner and A2Z Scraplets Dad title. I picked colors that fit my DD outfit on this lovely photo with here Dad.

My second project is a card made with the same Doilies 2 set. This time I stamped a few doilies and made a 3d flower embellishment  with them. The lower one is the biggest doily in the set. The second one is the same one, but I trimmed it around the second doily line. The I added another 2. Each cut image was  cut inside over the lines and all petals were folded- some to the inside and some to outside. Then I added some Glossy Accents and some Fairy Dust glitter. And finally a Handmade Halo glass pebble was added as a flower center. To make the whole card I used Pion Designs papers, stamped a lace from the same stamp set and then added some lace, felt hearts and another Halo resin cameo piece. Then I stamped this LOVE ALWAYS sentiment form Heartfelt sentiments new release set.

I enter this to Craft your days away Doilies and Lace challenge
Paper piecing challenge for Sweet stampers

My last project for today is a simple card with Heartfelt sentiments set.
I made an altered Kraft bag, dry embossed with Sizziz Tim Holtz embosser, then I added some 7 Gypsies tags and stamped a sentiment over the upper tag. This is a simple and fast project anyone can do if you have this fantastic new Heartfelt Sentiments set.

See you : iris washi tape folding

This Iris folding was a very popular paper crafting technique a bout 5-6 years ago and I didn't use it since. But washi tapes (my latest trendy love) were just a perfect medium to use for this iris folding and I make this Earth globe with a circle pattern and free hand cut  basement for this See you card.

I used all  earth (map) colors: browns, blues and greens and to make this card more Earth day one I added a real wooden button and a cork butterfly.

Stamping on washi tape - small tutorial

Hello, my dear crafting friends! Irit is here again and this time with a small tutorial.
Lately I am a kind of Washi tape addict , so I decided to try to stamp and to heat embossover those tapes and also it works, but with  some catch after all.(Continue to read ...)
First of all pick your tapes and adhere some pieces over a non sticky plastic (I used the cheap baking reusable backing sheet, also I have this Ranger fancy one, the small and 2$ piece is just fine).

Now pick some small stamps : I picked heart strip   from With Gratitude set and a heart from It's a  Bird set. Now stamp  over your tape. I used white ink and  Opaque Bright White Wow Embossing powder, but it can be any Clear  embossing  ink and any other powder colors as far as it's visible over the washi tape.

And now for the catch: after I made my heat embossing, the delicate adhesiveunder the tape  became useless. So we can  grab our  tapes and to adhere them over our project, but then we need to secure them a bit with some other glue. I found that 3d Glossy Accents  works  just perfect over the tapes and I got this shiny look too.
So here is my final project: kind of a card or a Thanks note, made with Glitz and 7 Gypsies cards and ATC base, covered around the edges with Cable Red and Ivory  Black powders.

I also stamped some leaves from the same stamp set and a Thanks sentiment.
