Here is a sketch

And my lo with this sketch

This page will be published in Scrapbooking. com magazine August 2012 issue

I picked this sketch form the web and it's my take of it- totally unscripted one.
This is my daughter Ortal last college year and I practically don't have any photos of her in the campus. So this one, and lovely too, was finally scrapped.
I used Bo Bunny collection: papers, letters, stickers, but then I had to stamp and to die cut and to make some flower clusters as I always do.
So The Rubber cafe leave stamps- 4 -5 of them were used as a background and the big ones were stamped, heat embossed and hand cut.
I also added TRC fence Spellbinders die and used Washi tapes on this page(my most recent love)
A2Z Scraplet was added  and some Candies all around too.
And finally some Handmade Halo resins- one on the top and 2 flowers in the cluster.
And now for some more A2Z Scraplets my most favorite projects.
So hop with us and play with our sketch challenge to win a lot of great goodies!

This project was published in SNR May  2012 issue
I don't have any scholars at home, my youngest are on their last college year, but those Robin;s Nest school goodies were so my inviting, so I decided to made this wood board  using them and I really love the result.

I made a " card looking: base on black cardstock, added this Classified most gorgeous paper, then glued all 3 Red Apple glitter die- cuts on the bottom. I used the Classified ABC ribbon across the project and glued the most adorable Black board over.

Then some twine from the Twines set was added  using primary colors small bards and the cute apple clips were added to keep some post- it messages in the future.
Then I made a mix of White alphas and popped the Love word with Red Glitter Alphas.
ABC letters were added over the left apple.

As we need some sentiment over the blackboard. I stamped one (TRC sentiment stamp was just a right size for the blackboard) with white ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
As this wood  kitchen board was bigger than my basic project, I added some real small pencils in all those primary colors.
I think this is a real cute project and so easy to make with any wood board and all those gorgeous Robin's Nest products.
It can be even made  for a multiple teachers as it take less then half an hour to assemble the whole project together.

Family vacation

My new page , made for A2Z Scraplets June challenge: to scrap our family gatherings and things we do together. So this time I scrapped us (I and DH) with my in- laws (my sister in law and her husband) during our Georgian last summer vacation.
I scrapped on very old DCWV b/w cardstock, added some Core'dintions  embossed cardstock and colored it a bit with red gelato. Then I made a matting with 7 Gypsies set of tags in red and cream colors and added A2Z Scraplets heat embossed flowers (Wow Embossing Powders Cable Red and Black regular ones). The A2Z key was haet embossed with the same black powder and I made a title with AC foam letters. Some ribbons were added to tags and the page was  done.

My sister

This lo was published in SNR MAY 2012 ISSUE
This is not my usual kind of scrapping, but I decided to try this and I like the final result.
This is my beautiful sister Maya who lives so far away (Brooklyn, NY, USA ) for last 20 years.

I used a white cardstock with some punching around, clustered all  possible Crate papers, some punched, some torn, some misted and just added this flags and banners with Epiphany Crafts new banner tool.

Then I added some stamped butterflies from TRC Vintage Treasures set, heat embossed with  Wow Suzy West Embossing powders.

This frame Crate chipboard  was  dark brown , so I painted it with TH crackled paint. The stars and swirls chipboard is from Maya Road and was covered with some inks and a lot of Glossy Accents.
Finally I made some stickers journalling  (Authentique Paper) and some handwriting too.
Not sure it fits my style, but I like it.
I made this lo with Artastic challenge inspiration

Take 1: NY

This fun vacation page was made with my daughters and their good friend NY old photos. They actually decided to make a scenario and to do all things they never do at home, like to read an English newspaper or to talk on a paid phone.
I used Sizzix die for a skyline, Tim Holtz die for a street lamp and stamped  my journaling lines with TRC Basic backgrounds 2 line stamp.

2 pieces of patterned paper- the basic and the matting are from Kaisercrafts.
I also made a mix letters title with Prima, AC and MM letters and added those NY apples for the big apple. The journaling lines were stamped with The Rubber Cafe Basic Backgrounds 2 Lines and then hand write.
I added some glass pebbles and a glass bird button from Handmade Halo shop.

Thank you card

I very simple card made for WOW Embossing Powders blog post.

I used this Flowers Wow stamp and then heat embossed it with 4 summery embossing powders. but my tip here is to use a white pigment ink and not this Clear embossing one as I really want to see that the whole stamp will be shown. The second tip is  to put your cardstock on the top of your inked stamp and to usesome roller  to get better impression on the inked image.
Then add 4 powders, one after another and you've done  with your stamped panel.
I made this card with the longer edge, border punched with MS punch, added some ribbons and stamped a sentiment , heat embossed again, on the same Kraft cardstock I used for the main panel. The colors of embossing powder are slightly different over the Kraft cardstock, but I think  I like this mute colors more.

The last technique I used here was an asymmetric ribbon pleating, hand stitched like a big zig zag from side to side and then pulled to this lovely pleated ribbon.

Dream, Believe and Love card

I am not a huge cardmaker, but sometimes I just find a great card sketch and want to use some of my new goodies and to make a quick project and card is a quick one (comparing to a lo or to an altered project it sure is). So I decided to make this card with my new Teresa Collins paper set, my new bunch of washi tapes and a lovely Love my Tapes card challenge sketch.

I also used Teresa Collins old but virgin stamp and die cut the cork with Spellbinders die. It's like  old (stamp, cork), new (die, tapes, papers), borrowed (sketch?) and some blue. Not for a wedding, but can be a great All Occasions card.

Life documented mini book

This one sheet of cardstock mini book was my own 2 years old tutorial and it's still my most  viewed post in my blog here.
So I decided to make another simple mini for Simple Stories June challenge (use basic cardstock as I did for this mini) and to make it a good fir for the best of 2012 photos . There is a place for about 8 photos in this mini and I even used sticker numbers to make a path as this book has many opening options.

I used SS products only, paper, elements and stickers and as this mini has to be flat, decided  not to add much more inside even outside.
This is a side view of this book
 And a slight open

Now I opened  the first fold- you can add photos 1 and 2- I will add mine later as this is the best of 2012 and this year is just ongoing.
I lifted #2 and now you can see fold #3 opened
And now we can open #2 and #3 to left and to see the full opened mini

I made some photo matting here and there, but it's just possible to add photos wherever we can and want.
So here is my tutorial again and you are most welcome to make those cute small beauties!

My useful altered tray

This project will be published in Scrapbooking. com August 2012 issue
Hello, my dear crafting friends! Irit is here again and this time with this most gorgeous  wooden box we got from McGuffey Woodworking
as a product swap. I am really Printers Tray addict. So to get another tray  to alter, and this time with Robin's Nest products, was a real pleasure.

As you can see, it was made to use. We have a little Robin's Nest chalkboard here and we can write with a chalk (when I get some!). Then there are those small Robin's Nest clips on a string to keep some small notes.
A small calendar was added on the left, May was first as all other month are gone, but is can be replaced  to the new calendar when we need it. And finally I made this small notebook (with a birdie on it) using Bind-It-All , again I need to find a small pen to fit the spot.
The bare wooden  tray  from McGuffey Woodworking was painted with a mix of teal and brown acrylics and I added a bit of crackled paint too for this vintage look.
Then I used Glitter Writing   and Classified  cardstock to cover all 6 inside boxes. I also inked the white Classified cardstock with a bit of Tea Die Distress ink to fit the colors. Then I added some Viva  and Family rub - ons all over the cardstocks.
I die cut a lot of Tim Holtz dies from Brown on Brown  Rope  glitter cardstock: the bird cage, the clock, gears and glued them inside.

I also decided to add some glittery pinks and Princess Border strips were just perfect. The same strip was used to make a folded big flower and 2 more were made with another dies from the background paper, layered, one with some lace inside and inked a bit.

I made a small notebook using the same Glitter Writing  cardstock backside and added a die cut bird - it comes from the same bird cage die and I just embellished it with a pink  Regency  mini dew drop eye.   The small Euro  clippie was added on the right to make the opening easy.

I also embellished the bird cage with  pink mini  dew drops from Regency set. The border hinge die cut on the lower left was embellished with Gold Dew Drops from Mocha Trail set .
I added the chalkboard on the left top corner, made a string from  Robin's Nest twine and clipped those Regency  clips. Then I filled 2 small glass bottles with Parisian and Regency  mini dew drops (kind of a waste, but so lovely). Last, but not a least, some Robin's Nest ribbons were added : the  Red velvet and B- wild  cotton ball white and the printed twine on the lower left spot.

Some charms and vintage buttons were added as my flower centers and one big bow over the notebook.

I really like the final result and hope you like it too.
See you next time with another  Robin's Nest project.
I enter this to Unique crafter Buttons challenge- the huge buttons in the middle.

Irit
