All my love and life -altred reversed canvas frame

This work was published in August issue of Scrapstreet magazine
This work had a honorable mention in Prima blog BAP April 2010 contest- thanks!!
I had some old used canvas that I decided to alter to kind of shadow box with a twist: the photos inside are magnets you get in some weddings etc- so I just added some metal piece inside and you can change the photos as much as you want. Just take them of and put another magnets in the frame
As for the products :2 Prima pp, Prima blings, lace, secuine ribbon and felt letters. Tim Holtz heart with wings die was used here too and Coordintaion's cardstock.
As for techniques: embossing with Swiss dots plate, painting and gliterring the crown, using 2 MS punches and paper piecing the papers
And now for the challenges:

We'll always have Paris lo

This page was published in SNR JUNE 2010 ISSUE
This lo was a winner on The pink elephant chipboard and paints challenge- thanks!!
I did this lo for my Kraft challenge on Gingersnap creations DT- but is was a statement: we can use our very old neglected stash and to get the most of it.
We can do great lo (as I really like this one) without using the whole lines of new papers and embellishments- we just need to think!!
So I decided to do this lo as I was organizing my very old chipboards - and these Provo craft ones were screaming to me " use us". All the rest was easy:
the plain craft paper got some " dressing up" with home made glimmer mists and huge chipboard circle as a home made mask I keep just for this kind of misting.
Then I stamped lots of white images and heat embossed them, added some brown inked Tim Holtz french stamps on the top, inked and distressed the paper. Here we are- one craft paper, no designers at all.
Then I found this old Orient express ad on the web together with this french lady I got once as a RAK (just added some cut out of this image)- this one was laminated so it shines a bit.
The MME journaling tags were the Rak I just got a few days ago and they are.. French!! and from 2007. I did some random journaling - like the name of the city in English/ French, Russian and Hebrew, connected the city sights with this recycled string, added some music twill ribbon for my love for French chansons (hope this is the way I should write it- not sure, my French is not very great - 3 years in high school and .... nothing at all I remember..), fleur de lis brads,Mona Lisa stamp in home die cut frame and some vintage button were the last touch..
And the title? Ok, one of the greatest movies ever.. Give it a guess..
The biggest problem with this title is that you can never did it with one pack of letters- so here we have 5!! packs- all used and some very old too.
And as I was thinking about other web challenges doing this- here they are
No photo lo- for BASB
Recipe for Craftstic- cardstock background, journaling blocks (their own Rak I won),lots of stamped images, yellow color of brads.
Recipe for Mission create- no pp, stamping, game pieces- 5 of them on Paris label on the suitcase

LIFE IS A GAME LO

This no photo lo was made for my very first DT job on Gingersnap creations challenge blog. I am really thrilled to be there and I hope to stand be their standarts (very high one actually)

So for this blog you need to be a creative stamper (I am not- I stamp just a bit on my pages)- and the decision to do " no photo" was as I needed space for techniques. So here they are:

misting, plain stamping, resist ( on these puzzle shapes), inking, distressing, heat embossing , using " founded objects " as this eas the challenge!!

So I found some playing cards, some cardboard, dominos, some play dies, some newpaper crosswords, old chinese coin and paly dies and non used stamp " game" set ...

And this Alice in Wonderland bunny is just right here- as all the book is full of games and card characters ..
And here it is - life is a game- you just need to know how to play it.. Any kind goes- if you win.

1000 hugs = LOVE lo

This page was published in Feb 2011 issue of SNR magazine
I decided to use this great photo of my twins and it fitted for oval cut- so this 1000 title for Scrap the music challenge was really great and everything else was a result.. I used AC light grey cardstock to fit the picture colors and Dream street paper math pp to do this 1000+ hugs title- actually all my page is this huge title.
Zeros were cut with Spelbinders and I used the inside for "0" letter later.
1 was cut free hand (BG paper)
I used thick markers for + and the red line for summery and painted the Love word with thick acrylics and did it free hand too and black marker for stencyl letters for Hugs.
EK binding border punch was great for this notebook page and I added a bit of Teressa Collins notebook transparency.
The clouds were made with scallop cut I did with scissors and with some chalks, I also distressed the notebook page and inked it.
Then I cut (free hand) this 2 circles for balloons, painted them with acrylics and hand stitched the strings. The box was made from old recycled placement I already used for one lo before (a bit inked)
And finally I really needed some flowers and was short of time to do my own- so I used these Prima ones and added a brad to keep the transparency on the place without glue.
And it also goes for some more challenges:
Floss-on my balloons for Scrap your crap
Inspiration- abc and numbers for Creative prompt
Cardboard for Method playground

So after I did all my " homework" and danced about 3 sessions and we had a long friday morning scrolling and BBQ with a group of friends (I will do the photos post later- the spring here near Jerusalem is most beautiful- and the only photos I take great are flowers... )- I still have lots of time and great mojo for simple cards

Happy birthday to twins card

Dcwv pp, Jellibean soup Kraft paper, Inkadinkado and HERO stamps, brads, string and wood clip
Techniques: faux stitching , stamping on the pp , clear heat embossing and hand cut paper piecing

Bronze hamsa

I did this Hamsa (Israeli " good luck" item) for my new and very exiting DT
- GINGERSNAP ..
This was a very fast item to do as I needed to do it after I was entered to DT to introduce myself
This group is mostly mixed media and stamping artists- so I was very thrilled to be a part of this great names DT .
As the " entry" we need to do some ginger color artwork and I decided to do a
Hamsa - the altered item we hang on the wall for good luck. We also add some home or other blessing on it usually- but this one is more for display and less for luck- so it's without the blesssing.
I used this acrylic shape from both sides of it.
The back is covered with very thick homemade paper I painted with bronze paint. On the front I stamped and heat embossed some butterflies from this great new set I won on Clearly inspired blog and then added some bronze Pearl ex powder all over.2 other butterflies are die cut and embossed from a foil- but as I only had silver foil I painted them as well and then accidently decided to dry with my heat gun.. Part of the paint melted and it gave them this funny and unsxpected look.
The sun shape was a curtain holder- I love to use all this recycled items on my work. The last touch was some blings, lace, yarn and a title made with very old ABC metal set- but usuful one.
But as always with me this one was done for some more web challenges

Cousins- 4 of 6-LO

This lo was published in February 2010 issue of Scrapbooking news and review
I did this lo as I just wanted to use my Prima goodies.Period..
So the basic pp is Prima, well distressed, then I cut some sircles from Prima pearled green paper and stitched around some of them, I added this "Cousins" chipboard title I got from A 2 Z scraplets as a RAK using crackle green paint and cut the bird from Crafty secrets vintage jornaling pad.
I did the jurnaling on Prima packaging after I added the flowers to lo.
As I never can stop with adding more and more embells- I added a safety pin, shaped office pin and this cardboard ruller for the "4" and " 6" part of the title. Then I decided to stop ( no lace or ribbons? How ca it be in my LO? So it can..)

New month and my new publications

April is here and my work was published in 3 web magazines
Scarpbooking news and review published my 6 los and one card
This one is a paid magazine- but it's great- so make a trial for a month and see if you like it
Scrapstreet discovered me on Discovery drive as I was never published in this magazine before and they did a whole article about my work here
This one is a free magazine- so read and enjoy every month!
They also published my other 3 pages in 3 other articles- now after I " was discovered" I have even more future publications there- next time these are cards, altered and 2 los too.
My 3 pages with articles were published in Scrapbooking. com this month-
here are the links- this magazine is free- enjoy!!
Just think- I had 16 publications in one month- it was a hard job to put all these
product lists all together, to do some articles and then to take most of these work out of some blogs too..I am just out of my " submit to be published " mojo now.. Don't think I can do it again all together in such a short period of time... I am going to submit 1-2 works to each magazine every month from now- not more.. I need time for books- TV- DH- myself...
