Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my first post with the new, just released Winter Playground collection.
We don't have any proper Winter here in Israel. As we say we only have Summer and a very hot Summer, but as I travel a lot I am used to snow and a real Winter landscapes and making a project with this cutest possible Winter collection was not a hard job after all.
So here is my Winter Playground altered cross stitching hoop and this is a pretty large one, about 9'' diameter.
The background cardstock circle was made from Winter Playground cardstock and then a hand cut half circle was added over the first layer (using Toboggan cardstock).
The whole piece was then covered with snowflakes made with Winter Fun stencil and BoBunny Sugar Glitter paste. Then a few stamped images of doodled balls from Doodes set were added with blue ink over the free spaces. Then the background was glued to the back of both hoops.
The snowman and the huge snowflake were hand cut from Noteworthy and Icicles cardstock and more glitter snowflakes were made over the huge snowflake with the same stencil and Turquoise Glitter paste.
Then both piece were glued between two layers of strings (it's really hard to see the inner strings layer on the photos).
Then Mandala was die cut from Frosty cardstock and small heart circle was die cut with one of Belief dies.
Both dies were glued over the string and embellished with a hand cut girl doll.
The wooden snowflakes were painted with both Coral and Island Mist pearlescents and embellished with Double Dot Aqua jewels.
