Today I am going to share my very first project made for Scrapberry's Design team.
Our October challenge is Seasons and you can pick your favorite season and to make any project about this season.
My card is all about Spring. Living in a country with only two seasons- Summer and a very hot Summer- you always dream other seasons. But as we do have a bit of Autumn season, not the falling leaves, but some rain and even some Winter without snowflakes, but with bare trees, the only non existing season for me is Spring.
So in my eternal love for everything Spring I made this card using a wide range of Scrapberry's products.
My job was to make a card that is pretty much flat and still to make it with lots of layers. So mission is complete as I have 5 layers of matting and another 5-6 layers of embellishments and it's still very much flat and can be entered into the envelope.
As for techniques used there are a lot of die cutting(I used 10 different dies to make this card);some stamping on the background patterned paper and some stamping and hand cutting the stamped images later (butterflies); heat embossing with clear embossing powder of die cuts and hand cut paper flowers; heat embossing of inked bare chipboard frame and stamped sentiment over the stamped image.
And one tip for those who are always looking for tips: die cut shapes twice and use the darker die cut as the shadow bottom part of the glued piece.
And now to some close- ups:
