Autumn leaves with Tando

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my last September Tando post.
This week we are showcasing Leaves and I decided to make a cover for the very small (ATC size) notebook using BoBunny new Fall line and Tando chipboard.
The notebook was first covered with fancy patterned paper .
Then I colored Tando lovely Book plate and Leaves with DecoArt  Media line paints and arranged them on the book cover. One I LOVE AUTUMN sticker and a few pearls and this lovely cover was all done.

You and Me card

This card was made with DCWV products and I just added a few Scrapmatts pieces to make it a real
" something". The cardstock has copper look, so I heat embossed all Scrapmatts pieces with copper embossing powder.
Also this is just a card I used 4 different Scrapmatts pieces from 3 different packages to make  this card. You can see the list on the bottom and to make a similar card if you wish.

Mixed Media canvas with BoBunny

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here today and this is my take for BoBunny Mixed media  day using the most lovely Sweet Moments collection.
Mixed Media is a lot of things. These can be art pages, tags, alterations, but the most known are art canvases. So as my first Mixed Media post for BoBunny I decided to make a 10*10''  altered canvas in scrapbooking style.
It's so easy when you have a lovely photo and the best ever BoBunny products!
So my two adorable 3 and 5 years old grand children are the humane stars of this canvas and all BoBunny products are the real stars of this creation.

Sweet Moments Mixed Media canvas by Irit Shalom

The whole canvas was covered with BoBunny gesso and when it was dry I added texture using two BoBunny stickable stencils: Flower Power and Lace (the lace border only).
As I was short of texture paste I just made mine using BoBunny gesso with a small amount of Plaster of Paris (this you can buy for cents in each and every Home store).
When the texture was dry I added a mix of BoBunny  Mixed media products.
The greens over the background are a small portions of Mint Glimmer Spray.
The pinks around are Tutut Pearlescents that I just added with my messy fingers.
The golds are both Gold Glimmer spray and Gold Glitter paste.
Believe me- my hands were really messy as I work with hands  only while doing my Mixed Media backgrounds.
Remember to let each color / medium to be totally dry before you add another color, unless you want a brown messy look.
I added a few strips of lovely patterned paper from Sweet Moments collection and I didn't even use any glue.Just add the strips over wet mediums (gesso or texture paste) and add a thin layer of gesso over the strips.

The matting for the photo was made with Sweet Moments Misc Me Journal contents  and this is a time to say that those jorunalling cards are just perfect for any project and  not intended to be for Misc Me projects only.

The main embellishment cluster was made with Noteworthy pieces and then the largest Sweet Moments Layered chipboard sticker was added as the title of my art piece.
The yellowish flowers are from Noteworthy pack and I just colored them with Gold and Tutu Pearlescent to change a color and to add a bit more  gold over the canvas.
As the final embellishment touch I added just a small piece of Frosting Jewels.
Tou can also see the wide areas of crackled texture on this photo and around the whole canvas.
Those corners were made with BoBunny Crackle primer and Cracle White paste and covered with the same mediums as the stencilled areas and this was the later add- on.

The photo was embellished with Noteworty tab and a few Combo stickers made the sub- title of this canvas.

And then I decided to add some die cut swirls to connect the photo with the title in a more combined way.
So a couple of swirls were die cut with BoBunny Flourish die.
Some Emerald rhinestones were the final touch of this piece.
And as you can see I didn't stamp! And nothing happened. You can do a Mixed Media art without stamping. (This was a message for all of those who are afraid to add stamping over the background and to ruin the already finished background. So I was afraid to ruin it and decided not to you stamps at all.)

To my cool friend card tutorial

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my Cool friend card tutorial made for Susan K. Weckesser blog. This is a Mixed Media background card with Susan K. Weckesser sweet images and a lovely sentiment and it perfectly fits this month theme.

So here is how I made this card:
1. Use texture paste over the Rebecca Baer small sized Snow Flurries stencil . This size of  stencil is just perfect for the cards.
Let the paste dry.

2. Add a mix of Tattered Angels mists over the dry  stencilled image. Wait between the layers unless you want to get a " mad" over your card.

3.Stamp the couple of snowmen using Susan's ....... stamps and her Sky Clearsnap ColorBox Color Pop Mini ink. Stamp each image twice as we're going to make some paper piecing later.
Stamp the To my cool friend sentiment too for the future use.

4. Color the images with Zig Real Color Brushes and then cut the pieces that we will use for a 3d effect.

4. And this is how the pieced and arranged images look on the finished card. All card was misted with golden mist , so the colors are slightly different after all.

And this is a finished card- the background white card and the  Mixed Media background were die cut with Elizabeth Crafts Stitched rectangles dies and I added a few random golden sequins.

Giggle, Smile, Laugh layout with Scrapmatts

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my Scrapmatts September inspiration!

As always I try to add different pieces and this month those are a layout and two cards.
My layout is a playful one made with two adorable photos of my 3 years old grand daughter, DCWV products and the most adorable Scrapmatts chipboards and stencils.

Just to show you how much those chipboards and stencils add to your crafts I made this piece as 3 in 1 - it means I made a simple layout, added something to make the second version and added much more to make it as you see it here.

Let me show you Round 1- no Scrapmatts products used.
This is totally same layout, same photos, same papers and so  empty.

So here is version 2- I added some, but not all Scrapmatts pieces, but still left the background as is. I also added the sub- titles using Scrapmatts words.
It is much more interesting, but something was missing.

And here again the last version with  stencilled areas added and more color and all of this was made with some Scrapmatts products only!(and a few flowers as the final  touch).

And now for some close-ups:
All chipboard pieces were painted with DecoArt Fluid acrylics only.

I think that this layout was a perfect example of how a few  great chipboards and some background work can make a simple   layout to a lovely piece of scrapbooking art.

Holidays gift bag with Two Paper Divas

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my last September post made for Two Paper Divas company.
From this post and on I am going to share some print published projects that I made for Holidays ptin magazines issues and they were already published.
Si now I can share them and you can get some Holidays inspiration.

This is a first project to share: gift card bag.
I used Tim Holtz glassine bag that was dry embossed with his folder.
Then I stamped over the free parts of the bag with pigmented inks and TPD gorgeous Pine Branch stamps.
I used two ink colors and two stamps here and heat embossed them to make the color permanent.
The sentiment was stamped with TPD Winter Welcome  set  and heat embossed too and I added a nice ribbon to close the bag.
Great small gift card holder and so easy to make with gorgeous TPD stamps!

The " globes" were die cut from patterned cardstock and then I added the similar Scrapmatts chipboards called Bubbles over it the make this " round around world". The circled chipboard was heat embossed with Stampendous mix of embossing powder  and got this white/brown vintage look.
The Bon Voyage sentiment is Scrapmatts  Assorted words and were covered with copper embossing powder.

Celebrate your day card with Two Paper Divas

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Two Paper Divas post!
This is a Mixed Media  card with paper pieced stamped image; kind of " everything is possible in crafting''.
I made the bakground with Rebecca Baer Snow Flurries small sized stencil, texture paste and Tattered Angels mists.
Then I stamped the TPD  Penguin stamp twice.
First one was colored and hand cut and two more pieces were colored and glued over with 3d foam glue.
The sentiment is from Large Cupcake set and the total is pretty and I really like it.
Hope  that you like it too!

Blackboard project with IBS

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my post made for Inspired by Stamping!
This is a 3D Friendship crafts week here on Inspired by Stamping and I altered a lovely cheap blackboard as my gift to a crafty friend.

Here is a small tutorial I made for you:
1. Stamp Inspired by Stamping Fresh Bouquet large stamp with white pigmented ink over black cardstock and heat emboss with white embossing powder. You can sure use Clear embossing ink ; but white over white gives the best results.

2. Use Tim Holtz (Ranger) distress crayons to color the embossed image.
I just added color over the piece and wiped with baby wipe. You can't see the " over colored" places when you work  on black cardstock, so you don't need to do a nice coloring after all.

3. Add more crayon colors over the stamped piece.

4. This is how this blackboard look and I decided to embellish one side and to leave the second for a real chalk writing.

5. Stamp the sentiment over the stamped piece with the same white ink and white powder heat embossing.
Die cut the stamped and colored piece with stitched rectangle die (Elizabeth Crafts).
Add strips of black and white washi tape and embellish with black rhinestones.
Add a black swirl of pearls  over the stamped piece and your gift is all done!

Spring canvas tutorial

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my Spring canvas tutoria in Mixed Media Mojo blog.
This time I made it with a lot of Iridescent Ann Butler's paint and other ESF mediums, chipboards, stamping over chipboards and a lot more techniques. It has a very rich textured background  and I hope that you like this project.
Step by step instructions:
1.Cover the canvas with ESF Gesso and add some Tando chipboards over. Cover the chipboards with gesso too. Let it dry.

2.Paint the canvas with a mix of ESF Chalk It Up Avocado  Pie and Key Lime paints.

3.Paint the canvas with a mix of ESF Ann Butler's Iridescents paints: Lilac, Lagoon and Ocean Surf. Make the  thick layer of those paints and stap over the wet paint with  a small jar lid to make those stamped circles all over the wet canvas.

4.Heat the whole surface with a heat gun to get those " bubbles and dots" over the wet paint.

5. Partly cover the canvas with ESF Crackle to get more texture. Let it dry. When dry, mist with gold mist to get the golden look for the canvas.

6.  Stamp over 5 chipboard butterflies with Ann Butler's Unity Faux Quilting stamps (I used just two of them) using clear embossing ink and white embossing powder. This step is not shown on the photos. Paint the corner chipboard and all stamped butterflies with more ESF Iridescents paints and wipe the paint over heat embossed areas. Arrange the corner and the butterflies as shown.

7. Outline the chipboards with black pen. Glue the Tim Holtz sticker on the bottom of your canvas.
