My new layout made for PHP blog and some challenges too
A bit about this project:
Currently
there are two major trends in scrapbooking:
Mixed Media and Pocket page project life. Both of those trends are
totally not "my cup of tea". The first one is a messy style where
gesso, pastes, mists and paints are your page stars and it is very artistic,
but it doesn't tell the story, so I don't even call it a real scrapbooking.
The
second kind is a real scrapbooking with a lot of photos, lot of journaling, but
it's totally flat and not so creative after all. So somewhere between those two
ends of the scale I find my kind of scrapbooking and I call it "light
Mixed Media story telling". I do use gesso, paints, mists, stamps etc on my pages, but then I add more than one photo, write journaling and
leave if reasonably flat , so I can insert it into a plastic sleeve. This page
is this kind of my scrapbooking.
Step by step instructions:
1.
Tear the patterned glitter paper from Garden paper pad on the top ( I used
Plant love paper backside); ink the edges with blue ink. Use a mask and a light
green texture paste to make three circles of rays on the top and in the middle
of the page as shown. Let it dry. Stamp background leaves and swirls over the
page with brown permanent ink. Mist a bit over the page and let it dry.
2.
Make an envelope with a piece of patterned paper from the same pad; make the
half circle cut on the top and insert two handmade tags with some hidden journaling
on the back. Glue 3 larger photos as shown over a piece of torn glitter paper
from Generations pad we used to make the envelope before. Cover the right photo
with inked chipboard film frame.

Cur two small frames from another paper from the same pad and insert two small
landscape photos inside. Glue the
frames as shown. Tear a piece of garden paper, ink the edges, fold it
and adhere on the upper part of the page as shown. Ink the leaves chipboard and
glue it over the folded strip, then add the wavy film strip.
4. Adhere all 3d stickers as shown and add some gold
glitter glue over the leaves on the top and over the small frames on the bottom
.Staple a piece of natural twine to connect the top and the bottom of this
page.
