Making water color paintings fast and easy

Hello my dear crafty friends!

This is a watercolors week on Cornish Heritage Farm blog and it was a real pleasure to make this fast and easy to make projects using CHF delicious Lighthouse  3 printable image, but to make it a small piece of art.

First of all I didn't print it on paper or cardstock, but on a piece of cotton. Then I ironed it as I wanted the image to be permanent and then I just added 5-6  colors of Gelatos over this printed image. A quick wipe with a simple baby wipe over the fabric and Bingo! This lovely piece of art  was finished. And as it was " a piece of art" it was framed with a die cut chipboard frame, covered with crackled clear paint. One last touch was this stickles red light over the top of my lighthouse.

I really hope you will try this fun and  easy technique using any of our gorgeous CHF images: it's so cheap and can be re -sized to whatever size you want and you can also print it over canvas, silk or thin burlap; try to print it over vellum and to paint on the backside of your print too. Great effect  of a mute " like a real" water colored painting.
If you want to make a similar project, you are welcome to link it in CHF blog for all of us to see.

Beautiful! I don't have gelatos, but sharing the idea is fantastic! Wonderful job!

Wow, this is amazing! I've only worked with cotton once and it was interesting -- you've definitely created a masterpiece! ♥
