White wash technique IBS TUTORIAL

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my tutorial made for Inspired by Stamping blog with their gorgeous stamps.
This technique works great on Kraft cardstock or cream one; on white cardstock the white ink will be
almost invisible, so use the darker one. I used Kraft cardstock for this project.
1. Stamp your Flowers a several times with white pigmented ink and heat emboss with very fine white embossing powder.

2. Use a fine artistic brush and the same white pigmented ink and paint inside the stamped flowers. Then pull the ink out of the embossed images (a bit like a chalkboard technique).

3. Now color over the white ink inside the stamped images with pigmented inks in a few colors as shown.

4. Trim the card front and glue it over the same Kraft color card base.
Die cut the oval panel for your stamped sentiment. Stamp your Happy Birthday sentiment with the same white ink and heat emboss with the same fine powder. Add some pearls and your card is done.

Happy Father's Day - AGAIN

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my last- for May release of  Die- Versions- blog post.
Today I am going to show you another Happy Father's day card made with a couple of May  new dies and one old die too and a few trendy items added to my card.

First the dies I used for this card:
The adorable Dad's  closet die was cut to 1/3 and 2/3 to fit this vertical card and I just made my " closet" in two levels.  The sentiment I used here is a new Enhanced Spot " Happy Father's day " die layered over the old Sweet Spots Angel Wing Scalloped Circle

And now for some trends as promised:
Kraft  and yellow colors- trend #1
Washi tape - this dotted frame was hand cut  from washi covered cardstock piece- trend #2
Cloth line wooden clips- covered with a small pieces of the same washi tape- trend #3
Metal wire- this thin yellow one I have for ages in my stash- trend #4
Newsprint over anything- here it's over those Candy dots- trend #5
Anyway, all those trends are just the add- ons to our gorgeous dies! This card is made with  dies and for dies!

Please be sure to check the DV blog everyday for more ideas of how to use the new May Die-Versions dies!  Our Design Team has really done a wonderful job with these new dies and I know you are going to love their projects and want all the dies too!!  And don't forget to share your creations with on us on the DV Facebook page.

See you soon again!

Making Mixed Media with Ann Butler's Faux quilting stamps and inks

Hello my dear crafty friends !
Irit  is here and this is my monthly project made with Ann Butler's gorgeous products.
This is a chipboard board that became a kind of an art Mixed Media project and I actually tried to show how we can use Ann Buter's inks and stamps over the different surfaces.
So  it's not a real tutorial (almost impossible to make a Mixed Media project full tutorial , but with video); so I just show you the final result and give some tips.
The white artistic chipboard was covered with tissue paper first. Some tissue was with a pattern and some was just white one. I stamped all over the white tissue with permanent black ink and you can see all Ann's stamps patterns over the board, mostly around the central space.  Then I added some stencil's writing about art with texture paste and then all the stamped and masked surface was  inked with a mix of Ann Butler's Crafters Clearsnap inks.
I added two masked circles with  texture paste and white embossing powder and then inked over the  embossed mask with some of Ann's inks again.
So far we used Ann's inks over glued tissue, over texture paste and over embossing powder and we can see how great it works over all of those surfaces.

Now for the next surfaces. I inked the wooden panel and as you can see the words are still visible.
The chipboard bird cage was inked over the bare chipboard ans I like this " like vintage" result. The chipboard Honeycomb was inked with another Ann's ink and so were the feather's edges. Two burlap flowers were inked too and look at this perfect colored result!

Then I stamped  over diamond chipboard pieces  and inked over stamped images: great look again.

The only non Ann's ink here are those stains over the old brush I added to this art piece.

Let's get lost in Wonderland (my way of thinking about it)

This is the first project made for a long time that was not made for any  design team, submission or other " heavy duty". I made this Tando printers tray with a cover just because I had those Marion Smith papers, Tando and Wycinanka chipboard and a lot of VLVS stamps on my  table. Everything else was just a thought about matching them all into one project with a name. So welcome my " Let's get lost in Wonderland" art piece and I hope you like it.
This is the cover here: paper covered chipboard book shaped bare piece with Tando mask, texture paste and embossing powders heat embossed over.

Then I heat embossed the funky frame and added another piece of paper inside. The more items I added- ore embossing was done. I heat embossed the resin rose, the thin chipboard crown, the metal clock (was silver) and added a few trinkets (pin, pebble and gold flourish). The small Alice was stamped over the patterned paper and glued over this embellishment cluster. " Let's get lost" is a stamp too. I got my whole inspiration from an old Hebrew song that has a falk dance made of with a line " Be  Like Alice in Wonderland" .

And now for the inside part that is actually the back cover and the inside chipboard tray.

The back cover just has a few cut outs from the paper and a mirror over it. The tray was made with a lot of small items that fit the theme: stamped Alice again; vintage cameo made with resin frame, paper cut and glossy accents; some more resin self made shapes; stamped clock over newsprint stamped background; metal cute tea cup;  ink and clear  powder heat embossed circle chipboard shape and another stamped circle over it. I added some stamping over the back cover and inside the tray , all connected to my unknown Wonderland that need to be explored. And for those who need  things to be clear: you can be lost in a chat with friends, having a cup of your favorite coffee; you can be lost on love (heart), or in cards game; you can be lost in your past (vintage broch) or in time (clock).

I enter this piece to some web  challenges:

Here is my project: altered wall art that I made for my new home entrance and I really love it there.
I used Rustic Pallet 12*14'' wooden piece and painted it all with a chalkboard paint. I am not going to write over it, but this mute black is my new painting love.

Then I stamped  those LIVE- LOVE- LAUGH words with Ann Butler's delicious letter stamps. Those 2'' letters are just the perfect match to this wooden board. The letters come from Flourish 2'' ABC mad fr Ann Butler by Kellycraft and yes, it was a long and hard way to get  al of them stamped nicely with heat embossing over those wooden panels. I used Clearsnap Frosted white  pigmented ink (just to see the letters before you heat emboss them) as using a clear embossing ink makes it hard to see the letters  before you add the powder.

Them I  painted around  some of the letters with a black paint again (it work, also a lot of work) as  some powder splashes were too visible around the stamped images.

The nest was to embellish this piece, but not over embellish it as my house is pretty much minimalistic.
So I heat embossed  Tando Creative  chipboard pieces and stamped over the hot enamel with Ann Butler's Unity 1''  Stripes. Dots. Hearts cling stamps for the texture over the chipboards.

I added a bit of background texture with Tando mask and texture paste and this piece was done.
I really like it a lot and hope you  like it too.
 Yout next stop is Kristi

Irit Shalom- YOU ARE HERE!

Happy Father's day with Die- Versions new May release

Hello my dear crafty friends !
Today I am going to share a card I made with a few of new, just released,
Die - Versions dies  for Father's day.

As we all know, making  masculine cards is a very challenging work. We all struggle with those masculine themes and colors. But if you own a few of DV new released dies, made to make your crafty life easier, you can make a lovely card with minimum supplies and a minimum  work.
This Happy Father's day card was made with a piece of Tim Holtz Kraft cardstock over the teal cardstock base, with half (keep the other half for another projects) of Funky Octagons Background die cut from the same teal cardstock.

The die cut sentiment - Happy Father's Day- was die cut frm the samer cardstck, but then I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder and got this rich teal glossy look. I added Sweet Spots Angel Wingdie cut from the basic black cardstock over the zipper trim and thin twine.  The last die cut was this new Sweet Wordlets " I love you"  sentiment, but I skipped the word " I" and left two others.

I think this is a good masculine card in basic colors and  with a strong masculine effects ( zipper trim, wooden buttons, jute string ).
Hope you like this card and love our DV new May release.

Viva Las VegaStamps! DT Tryout

Lately my only reason to try DT call is  my total love of the company products. Nothing more. And as I really love VLVS! products (having a few dozens of their stamps means I do love them), I decided to try this open call . (Again , the only reason to try open calls is your total love  for the products, nothing more)
So here is my parade of VLVS!  projects and some other stamped projects too  assembled into one single post for this call.
Most of my stamped project here are altered ones, also I tried to add some cards and  scrapboking too to show my versatility.
So the first one is a very new altered printers tray made as my " lost way to Wonderland" . It contains a cover, the back cover and the inside tray all stamped with VLVS stamps and made as what I think as a Wonderland.

The second  project is this ATB that I made with A LOT of VLVS!  and I really love this dark, almost monochromatic piece of art.

And the last one is my new stamped layout- totally different style (I added it just to show the mixture of my crafty styles, such as vintage, dark and grungy and then cute and colorful)
I really hope that my  VLVS! like my work and cross my fingers for the positive answer.Anyway I made my step and now it's just a waiting time.

In love with Barcelona

New multiphoto page made with PHP products, some Creative embellishments chipboard and Tim Holtz stickers. Very fast and easy made page, after you arrange 6 4*6'' photos and crp them to fit the middle  of the page.

PHP and Xyron blog hop

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to day 3 of our Paper House Productions and Xyron mutual blog hop.
Get ready to travel around the world with our design team and Xyron!

Starting on Monday May 19th, each day, for five days, we will feature two travel themed projects on our blog (http://www.paperhouseproductions.com/community/) from our talented design team and we'll give away some great products! AND, when you HOP over to Xyron's blog (http://aintshecrafty.blogspot.com/), they will feature travel themed projects using your favorite Paper House Travel Collections and give away great products too!

All you have to do is stop by the blogs, leave a comment and you could win!

And here are my projects made for this hop.
First is this recycled altered box, made as this kind of " survive the flight  box". This is the box you make for those who can't afford the First class flight (everyone I know). You put there  the eye covers, ear pugs, some Aspirin pills, gum, tooth brush and small paste and a note... I really think we can do it for our loved who  travel  a lot (like me, but I never got this kind of a present). So I used this Map paper to cover this chipboard box from all sides, using Xyron Permanent Adhesive Glue stick. This is  the only glue stick I  loved to work with: really permanent and then this agronomic triangle shape is so nice and  comfortable to use.

The Bon Voyage die cut is a very tricky one to glue over the cover. But wait! This Xyron 3'' Sticker Maker was a blast! I made the die cut and then added the adhesive using this tool and it was amazing! 2 seconds and a permanent glue was added only over the cut piece.
The stamped Bon Voyage sentiment  from  Inspired by Stamping company
Big Sayings in French #2 over the box was glued using another Xyron Sticker Maker, this time I used this X shaped sticker maker for the thinner surface and it was a perfect experience.

And now for my other creations for the hop.
The first is a travel tag, made with the very same  PHP paper, 3d Travel stickers and some washi and wood veneer shapes. I glued everything with Xyron permanent tape runner and used STICK  for the rolled " maps" and all embellishments.

And this last one is another travel tag, made with PHP Duck hunting collection, both papers and cardstock stickers. The stamped  flags were stamped with  Inspired by Stamping  Background  Basic #2 set of stamps  and PHP CANVAS sticker sentiment. Again, I used Xyron tape runner for the paper and stick glue for the embellishments.
