2010:one year, one family, 4 continents lo

This lo was published in Scrapbooking.com July 2011 issue
One of my most recent self challenges is to scrap in Clean and Simple style, doing multiphoto double spreads.. Ok, so here is one I did as a whole 2010 reflection
The title says it all:one year, one family and trips to 4 continents (ok- Asia is there we live, but still this is a huge continent.)
So here we are- Shalom's family:N. and Middle America trip - the photos are from the cruise and from Key West; One of my daughter's in Thailand and one of my son's in Laos- ASIA;then me and my hubby at home, in near Jerusalem woods and then in N.Italy(Europe) and Morocco(Africa)
I just hope next year anyone form this family will be in Australia , the only neglected continent on this lo.
And as this is CAS page-only 3 AC cardstocks, 2 pp from Echo park, used from both sides,a piece of Jellibean  pp- the arrows,3 AC thickers fonts, the white is slightly inked with distress ink, Jouranling envelope from Maya Road- the real juornalling in Hebrew is there,3 Studio Calico flash cards and some Echo Park banner stickers..
The last, and sure not a least- my awfull photogrphy skills.. This is the challenge for the 2011..

Lost lo

This page is published in SNR magazine  March issue
This is my new page made with Best Creations sketch and using Safary Boy line for my daughters Thailand vacation photos.
I just love those photos in a jungles, she looks so happy and so like in a movie. So I gave it a title from my very favorite TV  show- LOST, and she was not...
I also decided to use my forgotten rub ons and this  set was so perfect for the colors and to add some interest to this page,I also added some rub ons over a photos and used them for my journaling
Just take those rub- ons from your stash and use them.. Somtimes they give this so neede extra touch, and remember that you can rub them over your photos too.

Our bride lo

My very new page
I used a lot of techniques here:  first of all the huge hand drawn heart was cut our of the base , then I crumpled it and inked and added  over this paper backside tthat was layered over another pp piece.
Then I stamped script and notes all over the page. The frame was cut from another paper and essembled as a frame. Then a lot of flowers and stickers were added and I curled some pearl chain around the  frame too.The sephia photo was a single photo with mirrow image- so I did 2 photos of one and then added a piece of another color photo in between them.So finally I have 5 hearts here- 2 on a paper, a sticker and 2 pearls and I don't like hearts at all...LOL..

Another new page made with a photo of a pretty little girls named Shira- and Shira is a SONG in
Hebrew and that's waht the title is for
The photo was givven to me to scrap and thanks a lot to Shira's mom Iris for this one
I used GCD studios papers- quite a few of them, mixed and matched to make this shabby and yet playful page, the birds from the paper were perfect for a song
The bird cage was covered with white crackled paint, all the basic shaped cardstock was rub- oned around, the whit Prima flowers were misted, I also used border punches, threaded buttons, transparent
frame,hand writing and mixed fonts

My Butterfly girl

My new lo made with gorgeous GCD studios paper and my DD butterfly photo from Thailand
The photo was just so perfect for those papers and I also added this mesh homemade flower - the butterflies are free, not is the web, so at least a flower reminds us about catching them.Don't!! Leave them free, please! They need to be free, just as my own girls

Color your life mini tag album

For the next couple of weeks we are going to show you the great use of Cheery Lynn Designs embossing plates.. Don't worry- you will see our fantastic cutting dies too, but we want you to try these plates, as some of them are XL size and most of them are double sided and this is a best bargain ever!
So for this week I decided to move out of my comfort zone and to make this Mixed Media altered
homemade tag book using not less then 6 CLD embossing plates and 4 more cutting dies.
As it was intended to be a Mixed Media piece- I even did 3 inchies items for the cover with
.stamping, embossing and lot of inking
Then every single tag was embossed with one of those 6 embossing plates , inked and embellished
.according to the place shown on the photo strips
The last one- with this grunge color- I have no idea where this photo was taken, so I just added
this ? sign here.
And here are the plates I used:
For my Morocco tag: Leaves  embossing plate
For my Jerusalem tag:  Bricks and Stones embossing plate
For my " no place" tag: Do it yourself embossing XL plate
:Then I used some cutting dies too
The Little oval stackers for the cover and 3 kinds of Expression Bubbles for the titles and clouds
The clouds were made with this die
The titles were made with those 2 dies
Just try those great bubbles- they are 2 layers dies and you can combine 2 cuts from some different
papers as I did for this great look and they are fantastic for the mini album titles
And as always- use our outstanding Embossing pads and Adaptor plate
Now don't wait! Just go to CLD shop and shop all those plates and dies to use for your own creative mini albums

Key to my heart book frame

I am not sure where or when I 've seen this easy book box folding- so thanks to whoever you are for the idea. I think the result is pretty, also it was a really hard job.. And again:Tim Holtz and Graphic 45 should be the best friends ever, they just fit..
The innovating thing here was to use TH keys inner clear packaging for the middle page inside..
Then again- the crackled paint in blue color was dry.. Damn.. It happens all the time.. So I went to red and added some brown ink over it to make it a bit mute..In between I waited for 4-5 hours for the paint to be dry.. I hate waiting, and this is the main reason I do too little Mixed media items, also I know all techniques and have lot of products.. You need to be patient with paints and molds and everything messy.. I can't.. I want my item done instantly- so MM is only here and there and not too much products in one item.. So we have here paints, misting the " book" sides with copper mist, some inking and zero stamping.I wanted to use my stamps- didn't find a " white space" for it as this item is not so big..
Ok.. I hope you like it, it was a fun to do this " book" amd I am sure I will do a lot more of them..

Good day sunshine lo

This page is published in SNR magazine March issue
Sometimes I need to scrap with a lot of white space.. Sometime.. It happens when the papers are so bright and shiny and tell everything and you really don't need a lot of add ons over it.
So this page, made with Best Creations Jubelly line, was a perfect line for a lot of white space ..
I decided to add a sun and clouds chipboard shapes covered with glitter and pearl glue, from Tando Creative chipboard company, then it was one big Prima flower, some Prima pearls, some twine for the birds to sit on and some faux stitching..

Twins-growing closer together lo

This page is published in SNR magazine March issue
My twins are just unseparatable, if you can say so.. They do thing apart, study different subjects, but still can't be apart for more than let's say a few days.
So the title from this Jubelly Best Creations line- Growing closer together- was just a perfect start for thes page.. I decided to combine a regular glitter cardstock with a part of a shaped one and to make one combined page.. I used lot's of border punches for the strips that connect it together- and it's like my twins:separated and connected all the time.

Good old time office holder

A very old  office holder I decided to alter in vintage style.
It's a bit of a problem to take the 3d item photos- so I did it from 3 sides and then you can see  the overall view of it  too.
I used Graphic 45 papers and die cuts together with TH and other metals, some lace and some mediums:inks, 3d crackled glaze.
 And some challenges:
Old fashioned for ABC
Not a card for Spoon full of sugar-
