Like father- like son

I did this lo for Ella's publushing sketch week 2 contest and it fitted perfectly the DH and DS photos from this long South America trip they did together .
I decided to do it after the Cat Stevens (before he became this other name I don't remember ) song " FATHER AND SON " was on the radio and the words were so exectly right for my second " world traveller" son- "you are young, that's your fault.. find a girl..." etc
So he is 25 and that's his fault- going around the globe for last 4 years after his army service, living most of the year abroad, working there.. We want him home- but I think only THE girl can do it.. We can't..
So my dear Amir- this one is for you!!Love you deeply- even if you are in Colombia or Peru or wherever you are now- can't understand it from your Fcebook notes... Our only connection for every 2 weeks.
I really need to add the lirics- a bit of it for you to understand my feelings:
(FATHER)
IT'S NOT TIME TO MAKE A CHANGE
JUST RELAX, TAKE IT EASY
YOU'RE STILL YOUNG, THAT'S YOUR FAULT
THERE IS SO MUCH YOU HAVE TO KNOW
FIND A GIRL, SETTLE DOWN
IF YOU WANT YOU CAN MARRY
LOOK AT ME, I AM OLD , BUT I AM HAPPY
And as for supply list here:
PP, felt, letters and transparency- Prima,Dew drops- Robin nest I got as Rak,
Chipboard button- Love Elsy old one, the crown bard- Creative imagination- Rak, Tim Holtz acrylic , men die cut from Prima packaging and a lot of mist.
Even the matting was the " misting mask" I used here and then decided to add it on the lo.Also the canvas brackets are the Rak I got from Ann's creative nook blog.
And also the AAM current challenge was to do a lo about me with my favorite song inspiration- I decided that this one is correct for this challenge- as I feel this song is so right for what I think...

My snow men

This lo was the January word inspiration challenge winner on Happy scraps challenge- thanks!!
THIS LO WAS PUBLISHED IN SCRAPBOOKING . COM, MAGAZINE
We don't have any real winter here in Israel- and I love snoflakes: the shapes, the colors, everything. So my only chance to scpar them is to do my DH and DS ski vacation.
This one es in Argentina 2 years ago.
As my title was too long I used this " v" shape to insert the extra word.
I also doodled around the snowflakes on the blue paper and then reposisioned the flakes a bit so we can see kind of " hallo" around.
And as always this one is great for some winter challenges we have this week on the web:
Supply list for Craftastic- light blue, 2 photos, covered chipboards, 2+ brads, ppaper back, white pen and ink- 6 and not only 3 items

!
My scrapbooking supplies blog (great one actually)have this Love lo contest- so this one was made for this contest.

I used 2 pp from Jenny Bowlin, some vintage music paper, Jenny's chipboard button, flocked fabric from my stash and recycled some Kraft Prima packaging for the bracket shape. On this Kraft paper I stamped IO leaves stamp and
did some resist effect with heat embossing with clear powder and I added some distress inks. Then I added some Prima flowers, Webster pages ribbon, Prima letters and K&CO chipboard monograms ( the flower was used for O as I used all of O before and B was altered for E).
The naked chipboard jornaling spot was from the same winning on Dotty divas and I did some plain hand journaling- who and when...
The chipboard anchors are from BG with Q &CO small brads and the bling is Prima .I did some distress inking all over the pp and here it is- for this
sketch contest and now it is a vintage one for sure.

After 5-6 vintage Lo-s I decided to take some time from this vintage items and to do some " no case" card.

Smell of spring lo

I adore Prima goodies- after all I even can do a vintage with these ones.
But this new lo isn't a vintage at all - but very bright and sunny with this smell of spring..
I did it for Prima January Bap- the sketch actually had 10 photos, I decided to reduce it to 6 - but all the rest is very " scripted".
And as it is for Prima gallery the supply list is... You know? PRIMA likes Prima, so let it be Prima.
I used 1 ppaper,as a base and did this misting around precut for this purpuse only circles. Then I added this printed transparency all over it .
The inner tag was cut from Prima journaling pad and then I used this fabric tag too, added lots of flowers , blings, pearls and 2 kinds of letters- the chipboard one was painted with pink and green mists. The inner rectangle is from this same transparency packaging- great one to reuse.
The only non Prima items are this " Don't pick the flowers" brad from Eyelet outlet and the green wire ,home made by me ,springs.
And it's good for some challenges too:
The inspiration for ARTASTIC January challenge
My favorite smell for My favorite things
My favorite season for Butterfly crafts (I was born in Spring- so for me this one is favorite)

2 hearts card

I did this card for my DD - she has a huge test tomorrow and was very stressed, so I decided to cheer her up with this mine and hers hearts together..
I just love this black- red- white combo and these Bg pretty old papers were great for it with my new Jenny Bowlin text paper and my new Unity stamps- it was just perfect.
I stamped this with red pigment ink and heat embossed with clear powder- the heat gun is now on the table - so why not use it?
Then I just added some ribbon with 2 Prima flowers , one button and a pin and added a bit of blings. That's it- not more than 30 min- as it's not coloring images..

My first photo lo

This lo was published in Scrapstreet magazine April issue
It's old baby me with my mom on my very first photo so it's pure vintage style .
I used PinkPaisley pp misted and distressed
Then the baby me was highlighten with AC thickers accent shape and I used 3 kinds of lace- one is from Prima, 2 others- from the craft shops and the lace doily too.
The lettering is K&CO and Pressed petals metal one, the music notes and the flowers- from my Rak I got for the Creatalicius challenge. The book page shapes are Spellbinders die cuts and I added some Paper studio pearls and Plaid crystals , Jenny Bowlin chipboard buttons,Paper studio, MME and Adornit ribbons and some reused yarn.
And for the challenges:
3 ribbons- for Pile it on
Vintage- for Magical crafts

Like an old wine- so are you lo

This lo made me a ginger gem on Gingersnap metal challenge- thanks!!
This new lo was a real challenge for me- vintage style lo for men? No flowers, laces, ribbons, blings? Is it possible? I am not sure-it's for you to decide, but it's the most vintage I could manage without all this vintage items I am so used to add.
The basic cardstock was a recycling- this was the back cover of some page kit and it's grey, not Kraft color with some texture and it's the only paper I used here.
I did some misting with dark purple and green mists and devided one single photo of my Dh into 3 parts as this lo was made for Thuersday sketches sketch and was 3 small photos one.
Then I added lots of leaves ' rub on all around the misted area and even did some as 3 d effect.
The grapes were made with distress stickles and it took ages for them to dry!!
The chipboard shape was the winning Rak I got from Dotty divas challenge blog for my December win ( I got 10 chipboard shapes from this Tandu company and lots of cardstock too- thanks!!).
It was painted with green acrylic paint and I added the demension with brown and white pens. As the final touch I added some Tim Holtz metal items- and as my DH is an engineer these are perfect. I also asked him to choose the word charm of the package and he decided for "EXCELENCE"
The clock was stamped on the clear transparency with black Stazon ink, the the spinner on is from Tims collection of metals (love it), so is the upper key hole charm - for no reason, I just love them.
And then I added some hand write journaling on the border:
U r like an old vine- better and better as the time pass...
And as for challenges:
This was done for Sketchy tuersdays dt sketch- not reall vintage but as much as I could with male theme
Inspiration for Scrapjacked

Metals for Gingersnap
3 items for A la carte

Non eatable beauty- lo

This lo was done for SPCC color challenge DT with this really" impossible" for me colors of pink and ornage, but finally I even like it.
I used this Creative imaginations dotted pink cardstock and rub ons and Bg pp from small pad with some distressing around and Bg chipboard bug. The plastic shapes are Dress it ups and the pearls are old broken bracelet. I also added some rub on stitching and used 4 used sets of letters: Ac red thickers, Lil David b/w ones, some MM stickers and Heidy Swapp pink chipboards. My conclusion- never use reds and ornges on your lo unless you can add some greens(at least on your photo as I did). It burns your eyes..
And as for other challenges:
Inspiration- for Hope stamps eternal
PINK AND ORANGE- for BASB

MY SPOT- NY- lo

This lo was made for US # 38 Dt work with the sketch- and I used this great photo of Ny city I took from my sister's window and this is about this window being the best photo spot in Ny -
also it is in Brooklyn....
And here is my journaling:
This is what I can see from my sister's window in Brooklyn
This is my Ny- my love, my addiction, my sin..
Twice a year I spend lots of $$$ to go there from Israel and to smell NY.
It was fast and easy lo as I was over the deadline for posting it for the challenge , so not many techniques etc.
This was very "unscripted " take of this week's challenge- but I decided to do it and to drop this card easy thing with this one.

hand cut chipboard base and lots of special paper stripes.
I cut the upper part from another special paper, added some buttons, crystals and used my heat gun (took me ages to find it as I don't use it a lot) with this white puffy liquid pen. I also heat embossed the stamped image(the gun was near after all) and added the 3d glue all over this sentiment for dimension.
A piece of ribbon and an altered brad (I added lots of glitter clear embossing powder on the red one brad )were my finishing touch and it's pretty

This lo was publidhed at Scrapbooking. com April issue

For our January challenge at SIC we got a magazine cover for inspiration and I was mostly inspired by colors and by the word " shopping"
So this lo is all about my addicted to shopping girls and this was a time to use all these used gift cards (the red bag is Target gift card, then I used Vistoria secret too). I also used real outfit tags - Gap and the black circle is onother one.

3 used gift cards and 2 outfit tags
It also was made for Little paper shop color challenge- also I am not sure they take los and not only cards- but as I always say- let it be, nothing happens of

Believe it or not - new lo

This lo won the button challenge on Practical scrappers- thanks!!

This is another " not usual" wedding lo for my son's wedding album.
The couple decided to visit a local minimarket as they were hungry on their way to the ceremony. I decided to use these smallest buttons I had for the fancy border and the ABC leftovers too.I think is't really cute one.
And it's great for some challenges too:
Buttons- I have 45 if them- 40 on the border and 5 on the corner- for Practical scrappers

UNSCRIPTED SKETCHES New Year blog hop

HELLO ALL MY DEAR FRIENDS!! WELCOME TO UNSCRIPTED SKETCHES NEW YEAR BLOG HOP!!
I am sorry I didn't have any special photo of myself for this hop- so I just added this one here- red is a celebration color, isn't it?
And now for the good news- there is a candy in my blog for all of you that leave a comment and if you become my follower your name will be drawn twice so you have even more chances to win.
And as I just came back from my 9 days Beijing China vacation , I don't have a picture of the candy- but it will be the great one (stamps and more.. )- so feel free to comment and to become my follower too.And as always I will ship worldwide- so anyone can participate.
And now for the punch line- that's what this blog hop is about: 10 things I want or need to do in 2010
So here they are:
1.To stop smoking- I think this is the hardest one to complete
2. To relax and to take my time.. Hard too.
3. To learn PHOTOSHOP or any other kind of digital program- as I am a computer dummy..
4. To be published in every possible web magazine ( I was published in one,
have more works to be published in another 3 and I am not sure how many more we have..)
5. To be published in printed magazine.. Even just once but out of Israel as here I was printed several times.
6. To complete my son's wedding album (there are more than 80 pages done-
so a bit more and it will be completed)
7. To make some manufacturer DT (MY BIGGEST DREAM )
8. To become a grandmother (dear son and dear DIL- this one is on you)
9. To spend more time with my parents as they became older and need me more than my kids or hubby
10. To learn to sleep at least 6 hours a night, every night.. This one is hard too for " no sleeper" like me.
So here they are and I have a whole 2010 to see if it will be done even partly.
And now your need to go to JENNY'S BLOG on our blog hop
