Twilight sea lo

This page was published in Jan 2011 issue of SNR magazine
This is my very first post for Cherry Lynn designs DT blog.
I just got my package 8 hours before this  post  as the postal service in Israel is  very old fashioned one and my dies travelled  all over the country before I got them finally.
So I just had a few single seconds to decide what I am going to scrap- and it was shouting: scrap a  sea..
So scrapping a sea it was.
This page is from one of my  twin daughters last August vacation in Thailand and a very new photo prints just made for this page.
I used quite a few of Cherry Lynn  dies here as you can see :
The Waves border was  die cut from  patterned paper, the shells  were  die cut  from Sea shells border  die and I also cut the shell stripe to  single shells.
All small shapes were inked with some distress inks and adhered with 3d dots.
Then I added  the seagulls on the top of the lo and cut some Expression bubbles as  clouds..
There were 2 kinds of bubbles on this die, also the product description shows one  only..
Even better, don't you think?
I also misted them with some blue shiny mist  on the upper right corner of the page  to add some interest to that empty corner.
3 photos were  die cut and matted with 2 sizes of  large Scalloped coved rectangles  dies-
what a pleasure to use dies that fit photos and not card making only!!
The dark blue cardstock was dry embossed with She sells sea shells XL embossing plate and distressed with some home sand paper.
The circle journaling spot was a  kind of  mistake:
I tried to dry emboss the grunge Raindrops  die on some sticky canvas - but did it from the wrong side, so I  just used the canvas back shiny  embossed  paper, heat embossed it with some clear powder, misted with some blue mist and cut with small inverted circle die (the biggest one from this set).
It's very hard to see the embossing  after all- so just try to imagine it, will do it better nest time - from the canvas side, I hope.
Here is a full post on Cheery Lynn blog- with dies and everything.
So see you there too!!
