Endless lo- SPCC # 25

This lo was published in a very first March issue of a new e zine called In a scrap creations- green call
As this magazine is a paid one- I can't add the link for it
This is my take of # 25 SPCC and my first DT job on this challenge blog and OMG this was hard!! The colors were great- but I had only a day to do it as I didn't get the colors before and I hope it looks good.. I hope...
Also I added some blue to this lo- this only greens were to much for me on this lo- I had to " dissolve" this Kraft and greens a bit with this sea color on the lo.
This endless sea photo was taken anywhere in S.America by my DD and DS in 2007 and I need to add my journaling as soon as anyone tells me the name of the place or the country. The clock face ( not seen well in the photo) is for time- as endless as the sea and the stones are my own polymer clay job- faux stone beads I did once and never used.I also used some real outfit tag- some challenge colors and " free people" tytle on- was great fit for this lo.
And the last thing- I think I am in love with these Kraft color papers, my white pen and cardboard. I need to let it go a bit- I did too much of these (also not much of them were posted)
This lo is also good for Frosted designs paper tearing challenge- also I have cardboard tearing here- but it's still kind of paper- I think it is..

Black& white card- US # 32

This card was a winner on WHIMSICAL SORORITY black / white challenge- thanks!!
This card was done for Unscripted sketches sketch# 32- and I decided to keep it clean b/w with lots of stamping and embossed image. I also added some felt ribbon and a big office clip.
My graffico pie challenge- paper- embossing- ink
Metals- clips- for Crafty creations
This is also good for Whimsical sorority COLORS
And for monochromatic challenge for Ginger snaps

THANKS 4 ALL- ITSF THEME

THIS LO WAS PUBLISHED ON SNR JANUARY 2010 ISSUE

We don't celebrate Thanks giving in Israel as it is an American holliday, but we

do say " thanks you" to the people we appriciate. So this lo is my huge " Thanks for all" for my grandma Fruma- she's going to be 97!! years old in 2 weeks.

She was born in Russia in 1912- so is actually living after Russian tzar ( king), Bolshevic revolution, Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, world war 2,natzi ocupaton, Stalin

I wouldn't graduate from dental school if she was not taking a full care of my oldest son- her great grand son and than kept to do the same with my second one to let me work full time job for years. And with my twins too- but than it was less as she was a bit old..

So thank you for all my dear grandma!!
This lo was done for IF THE SHOE FITS DT challenge of " thankfullness" and it was my first time to use texure paste on the paper( not on wood or glass) and I also used this crackle paint too and decided to keep the buttos on their original package backing.

This mini book was made for some competition where I had to use some realy strange for me things- toilet paper roll, no flowers. lots of metal clips, handles, stamps, stitching etc- too many thing to put in one lo.
So I took my old Tea card I did some time ago and added more pages for my
"Tea 4 2" mini book with real tea bags inside- just to drink a real cup of tea.
The cover page is the old renewed one- as I had to take all flowers off for the challenge
The back cover is the second part of the title and inside we have 2 toilet paper rolls with 4 tea bags.
And as I am sure it's not going to take me to the final 6 th round of this hard competition (I was out of ideas with these challenge) I decided to fix it for at least some other challenges on other blogs and that's what we have here:

Just a quick summary for my last weeks..

I was really busy in 2-3 last weeks so I decided to do this summary for me to remember how busy I was.. (lol)
That's what I did let's say from the end of October till now:
Made 3 new DT - still only challenge blogs-
I am afraid to try the kits or manufacturers- but it will come.
The 3 are " Treasures from the scraps" ," Sketches: creatively yours" and SPCC
and I finished all my DT jobs for November on first 2 and on all other DTs I am in.
Than I am participating in some australian 6 rounds contest- with 45 girls at the first round we are now 11 at 5 th- and I have some creativity block with this item I need to do- and I have 1.5 more days to enter and it's ugly..
Try not to be with toilet paper rolls and clips in the list and to be creative (not flat mini book we all did with these rolls)
Than in STUDIO 101 it was some huge!!!! charity weekend crop- we donated some $$$ for clean water case and had 25 challenges to do in 3 days-
the winnings are random, but you get points for being first and I did 6 firsts of 25.
I didn't like this stress of doing lo in 30-40 minutes- so all of these " firsts"
I am not so pleased with, I really like about 5-6 los I did- all others will be redone(it needs polishing- stitching, rubons, doodlings, more embels- I didn't get time to do it and Sunday is a working day in ISRAEL, also I am at home Mondays ,but work on Sunday)
Updated 11/17: I am a runner up in this competition - actually I am always
" a runner up"- lol!! - but I still will get some prize.
And for my " luck"- it was 25 random drawings too - some girls got 3-4 prizes-
I didn't get any- but...
For overall # of los done and being first ( horray to time lag only- I was first when they were sleeping!!!)-I actually will get some RAK as a runner up.
Then I have this lo of mine to be published in Scrapbooking . com next issue and I had to do good article- products, how to..Another hard job- English is my third language after Russian and Hebrew.
I have another item coming as Scrap n' arts as they decided to make me their
Artist of the month in January issue- and it means 5!! new and great los to do and articles about , big tutorial by me (I NEED TO DO IT!! I NEED) and an interview and all of this till 12/1. I did these 5 los- they said it's fine so now for other things and fast.
But still I did some challenges and even won some- not randomly:
MY ANGELS lo won the Crafty sketches October challenge and was TOP 3 at
Sophisti- cat challenge for wings
FALLING IN LOVE WITH FALL won ETSY INSPIRED weekly challenge
BLACK &WHITE ME won (there are 3 winners with no places) October challenge on Black with 2 challenge blog
NY MY LOVE was one of 3 winners on " My favorite things" blog for favorite vacation place.
Fall mini album was one of 4 winners on Creatalicios October challenge
PURIM lo was in Top 5 at Hope stamps eternal challenge blog
I also won 1-2 randoms - one was for my FALL lo at Getting creative with ANN
- I won there once and the RAK was outstanding- thanks ANN!!
So as you can see I was really busy- I even dropped my folk dancing sessions to 2 a week- once it was 4!!
Thanks for reading and see u soon with some of my new works from this crop weekend.

This is a great sketch and I decided to dedicate this one to my DH for 27 years .I used 2 photos from different periods but so- so him , lots of stamping (Unity ), lots of hand journaling and a bit of our family joking (Daddy's salads are my DH home made salads better than supermarket ones and we actually did some logo stickers for this once - but I didn't keep it.. )

HORSE FOR ALL- DONKEY FOR U- Creatively yous DT

This lo was made for Creatively yours sketch DT (11/12) and it's a funny story about my DH on his trip with our second son in South America took the horse ride. But as the group was big there were no more horsed left and he got a kind of donkey (as the oldest member of the group).
DH thinks it's not for post- I think that this lo is everything scrapbooking is about- funny photos with funny journaling- not this most beautiful ones with nothing to say about.
As it's my very first job for this DT -it was done very " scripted"- I did the sketch
"as is".. But after I've seen other DT jobs I think my nest one will be more creative and free take of the sketches as I am used to.

NEW FALL lo-FALLING IN LOVE WITH FALL

THIS LO was published on Discovery drive in SCRAPSTREET MAGAZINE April issue
This lo was ETSY inspired challenge winner- thanks!!
American crafts have this fall challenge this week
and the only cardstock I have at home is American crafts- so I decided to do new lo but with some self recycling- to use my own self made embells from other los or cards I did some time before and don't like anymore or don't need for future use.
I used my own sketch-or actually no sketch at all and these fall colors.
The products are:Olive- burgondy- melon texured American Crafts cardstock
American crafts Thickers- green foam
American crafts clear LAVISH stamps- so cute- all these boots and birds and cage and clowds.
Prima PP and silk leaves
I also used 3D glue for drops, birds, boots
The background stamp is Impression obsession huge stamp
And for other products- Tim Holtz grungeboards painted with acrylics ,
chipboard tree painted with acrylics and crackle paint , beads and 3D glue (my own recycling from fall card), Provo leaves rub ons, some Dress it up buttons, Bingo card from Jenny Bowlin and some wood and metal clips, mesh- reused one
As for techniques- misting arouns the cut circle and distressing the circle from inside, hand stitching inside the circle, stamping, using 3d decoupage on leaves, outside cardstock distressing
And as it's fall season- there are some more challenges this lo is good for
Colors- for Candy shopper
Scrapbooking page- for Getting creative with Ann
Stitching- all around the circle hand ones- for Quixoticpaperie-
ETSY inspired-lots of photos in this etsy shop- but mostly Sun drainged grain for colors similar to my photo

MY angels lo

THIS LOS WAS PUBLISHED IN JANAURAY 2010 ISSUE OF SNR MAGAZINE AND WILL BE BACK IN THE BLOG AFTER 2/24
This lo was October sketch challenge winner on Crafty sketches- thanks!!
It also did TOP 3 at Sophisti-cat challenge blog- thanks!!
There is no ppaper in this lo, but this white paper (not even a cardstock) they put inside these album refills.
So I did some glue stamping and heat embossing, some masking with misting, some inking with distress ink and this brad circle with twine and I misted and border punched the matting piece too. This chipboard angel is the pin Tattered angel company gave for free at summer CHA- and it was perfect here- I just added some glitter glue on. The big flower on the left corner is free hand cut fabric one- all other are PRIMA, blings too.
2 things I discovered throwh this lo:
1. You don't nead this glimmer mist that costs a lot for misting!!
Buy some cheap spray bottles- I got mine from my dear friend YAPHIT G. from some beauty shop for 0.75$ one . Buy or find at home some die inks- I had these POSH inks for ages and never used them and find some Perfect peals or Pearl ex powder- any color works here but gold or paerled are better!!
Now put just 1-2 drops of the ink into the bottle ,add a bit of pearl powder and fill with water- that's it!! I have 12 mists for low cost and a lot of ink for more and more future use. Believe me- same results, they do it just the same for 8$ a bottle .I also tried some alcohol inks with pure alcohol- not the same touch, but looks ok too- just more expensive.
2. If you want to use resist heat emboss technique do it first on the white paper, I did it after misting and it is resist but not pure white color- also it's ok here.
3. Keep your eyes on your distressor tool- I lost mine and now can't do my edges but with some " home made" items- not the same- need to buy a new one fast.
And now for other challenges:
Cardstock use- for Practical scrappers
Wings- for Sophysticat
Brads- for AI factory
No pattered paper- for Tuesday taggers
RECIPE- for Creatalicious- only 1 cardsrock and parts of used doilies and big hand cut fabric flower
Raffia or twine- for BELLY (my black twine circle with brads)
Flowers- for Digital tuesday
Stamp something- for Crafty cardmakers
Ribbons and gems- for Creative card crew
Stitching- for MY GRAFICO
Ribbons and lace for DESIGN DOLLIES

NEW YORK MY LOVE- SIC DT

THIS LO was PUBLUSHED IN SCRAPSTREET MAGAZINE April issue
This lo was vacation lo winner on My favorite things challenge blog- thank
This lo was made for my dt mission: multi photo lo for SIC Nov. challenge
As I am NY frick- living in Israel NY it too far for us, but my only sister is New yorker for 20 years now and I manage to be there at least twice a year and I am totally in love with it. YES- I love the noise and the crowd and even the traffic.
I adore NY shopping and Broadway musicals and Moma and even my morning coffee and a baigel with cream cheese..And this weekly cheap subway ticket that takes me anywhere I want for 25$ per week- be sure I use it for 100$$!!(lol) So NY is my loveand my sin- as I spend a fortune during my stay there (with free room and food- who can understand it? Not my DH)
But mostly this lo was made for us to remember- look at the upper right corner and remember!! September 11 was the turning point for all of us- in and out of NY.
And as for techniques I did some masking and misting with cityscape home diecuts and then used them for 3d layer on the top(they were pink///)
I did lots of colorfull misting as my NY is colorfull more than any other place on
the world.
The Dress it up shapes and buttons I kept for a year were perfect accents and the apple?
I did free hand cut and did the " bite" as I taste a piece of my NY again and again
and than I was told it is APPLE computer company logo..
I never had Apple - so sorry for using this - but it's my embel- lots of paint, lots of sead beads and after it was dry- some cheap 3d glue- I didn't have Diamond glaze and this craft store 3D didn't give the same effect as his better cousin.
And now for more challenges:
Using cardstock- I die cut cardstock for cityline- misted it for mask and used the die cut for the lo on the photos- for Practical scrappers
Stitching- for Sew many cards
Let's get frutty- for Cuttlebug spot (the apple- and die cuts I have here)
Also inspired from Dotty divas ad(love)
Favorite vacation place for MY FAVORITE THINGS
Can' t live without it- for IT's all about me
My depression therapy (just let me my NY and nothing more!!) for Scrap mojo

BATH TIME- ITSF color challenge

This week on IF THE SHOE FITS we have color challenge- orange- cream- kraft .I decided to do girly lo with these non- girly colors and I like the result.
This is my DN Tamar just after here bath- and as she is 10 now - all her rubber duckings are out.. On this photo she is still 6-7- so the journaling is about her duckings.
I did some misting here and cut the outer circle form shaped MM pp and used this adorable Prima duckling. I painted chipboard shapes with acrylic and added some glitter on.
As for other challenges- not too much- but still...
Inspiration- for HAPPY SCRAPS

End of the day- lo for #29 US + AD THIS CHALLENGE

This lo was made for #29 US SKETCH- and this was very " scripted" work here and the shapes and colors were from AD THIS ad we got for inspiration - both my DT work for this week- sometimes it is possible to combine sketch and inspiration or sketch and color challenge even in DT job- just sometimes...
I used Pink paisley pp with misting, K&CO mat pp- the inner one are 2 pcs as it was precut to small matting size- but you can never see it, MM chipboard tab and hand cut frame for journaling. Unity stamp was the journaling base , I added some mesh and round plastic shape for sun ( from my " vintage " box " use it " pieces) and MM alphas , the office clip was the last item on this lo.
Fits color challenge for Frosted designs
Where the sidewalk ends( horizon)- for Scrap the poetry

Fall memo board- first Treasures from scraps challenge

On my new DT on Treasures from scraps we had to do some altered item in fall colors as inspiration. I did this altered clip board as it was mostly recycling . This board was my daughter's one with some ugly fairy stickers and I kept it for some time to do some recycling.
The second recycling item is this metal owl- it was part of old mobile and was dirty silver color- as it was actually dirty.
The third recycling item is this cork coaster I never used- never can understand why I bought it long time ago.
Even the papers were thirds of 12*12 pp I used already and not some new ones.
So we have here 2 kinds of Prima paper, some pieces of Grafic 45 fall paper- used a lot in my mini album and other fall items I did this fall, some chipboard flourish from MM in inpossible color and non painted chipboard leaves.
So I painted all of tese with Ranger crackle paints, added some die cut butterfly and Prima flower on it, piece of old green ribbon with 2 MM brads and stamped with Unity stamp ticket. I also painted the uppper part of the board with regular brown paint as it was hard to fit the paper around the clip and the basic color was some kind of green- bluee.
And as always it fits some other challenges:
OWLS- for Frosted design
Green- for ABC
Colors- for Color combos
Ribbon and gems- for Creative card crew
Stamp something- my ticket is Unity stamp- for Crafty cardmakers
Altered items with stamp- my Unity ticket is a stamp- for AI factory
FALL- for Stamping bee's
Text- for ONE STOP CRAFT- the pp and the cut off pp on the board
Anything but a card for Stamp, scrap and doodle
Brads-for Gingersnap
Orange, green and brown- for Gingersnap
Not a card for Corrosive

AT 21- ON YOUR OWN -LO

I did this lo for this week's triple challenge on Practical scrappers-
Frosted designs and Stuck on u sketches
So it is a sketch ( was not " my cup of tea actaully- but I finished it), the owl and ribbons too.You need to do all 3- in one or 2 or 3 items to win at all- so I did one for all. And the title was for Scrap the theatre challenge too.
It also is for #7 Scrapfit challenge-ball shape leaves- family ( my twins) and journaling
Brads- for Gingersnap
Anything but a card- for SCRAP, STAMP AND DOODLE
The pp was from Daisy d's , the bracket from Pink pasley sticker shapes- cut to one third of it and misted with some colors, journaling spot- PRIMA, ribbons- all over the house, chipboard flowers- very old ATB, the owl- A2Z scraplets with crackled Ranger paint and crystals for eyes . I also did some doodling clouds with white paint inside adn some journaling that says:
ON YOUR OWN AT 21
TOUCH THE SKY
PICK YOUR STAR
LOVE AND BE LOVED
DREAM
HOPE
FIND YOURSELF
ALL MY LOVE- MOM
