Card week on Tando: Be Unique in any style (Steampunk too)

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to our Tando Cards week.

I do make cards and even a lot of them. But making a Steampunk card was a bit of a challenge for me.

So with a couple of Tando stencils and a few of Tando chipboards  this card was born and I even like it.

It can be given to anyone who is a bit different and I used VISIBLE IMAGE stamp sentiment to say this .

Be Unique- and it doesn't matter what is your style. Just be you!

I made the background with acrylic paint and Tando Distorted Harlequin  stencil. Then I used Scullduggery stencil to make this textured scull over the cardstock and heat embossed it with a mix of black and gold powder.

The Steampunk  Wings and Cogs Tando chipboards were all heat embossed with copper and I added a bit of blue paint for this " patina" look.

The last touch was this metal bird over the wings and a bit of blue paint around the edges.

IBS January challenge: With all my love card

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my take of Inspired By Stamping monthly challenge.
As you might know we offer a sketch, color combo and theme/technique and you can use one, two or all three of them and to enter the challenge for a great chance to win some goodies.
So this time I picked the color combo and the theme : Love.
I made the basic metal grey card and added red background. The heart die  was used to make the third layer and it looks just perfect over the grey and red.
Then I added the doily die cut in this sage color. I think that the photo is not showing  this color as it is and it's really the very same color from the color combo. Then I added another circled die cut in black and stamped over the white circle with the same red color ink as the background.
I used two stamps from the very same IBS set: dots and a sentiment.
A  few rhinestones (birds and singles) were added to make this card fancy and shiny. I think this can be a nice Valentine card. Don't you?

Baby boy shaped card with TPD

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Two Paper Divas post.
This is the first shaped card made this month and it's a Baby Boy one. The Baby Girl card, made in the very same way, will be posted in a week.
I made the oval scalloped card using Cherry Lynn dies- 4 of them. The basic card was die cut without the top, so its connected to be open. Then I added Canvas Corps fabric and I just hand cut it with good fabric scalloped scissors. The next 2 layers were die cut from CC patterned cardstock. I stamped over the solid cardstock with blue ink using TPD gorgeous Baby Bundle of Joy set.
Then I covered the stamped booties with glitter glue and added 3 cloth pins to connect the ovals.

Never be afraid art tag with STAMPlorations

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new post made for ARTplorations Mixed Media showcase.
And it's tag again. Huge one. Shiny one. Tag with one single ARTplorations stencil and my most favorite so far: Large Fearless 
I used the whole quote from this stencil over the shiny painted background made with ESF Ann Butler's Iridescent paints  and with ESF Gel Medium.
When Gel medium was dry I added a lot of gold paint over the letters. Then I stamped some borders with STAMPlorations Artsy border maker stamp and gold ink.
Golden die cut, golden  ribbon and golden Makin's Clay molded angel were added to the tag. Yes, I am in this golden age of mine: no kids at home, lot of spare time and great family support for my crafty adventures.
Let's say that my dream in in process.

Art mail tutorial with ESF

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my my new Mixed Media tutorial!

This is my very first mail art project and I just hope I did it right. But then, with Mixed Media there is no right or wrong things; so I hope you do like it and I made a good job.

Here we go!

Step by step tutorial:

1. Take the old envelope and open it as shown. Cover it all with a layer of  ESF gesso and let it dry. Do not try to make the perfect coverage; just a bit is  sufficient for this project.

2. Take a few Iridescents Ann Butler's Clearsnap paints and cover the gesso over with a mix of 3-4 of them. Those paints are Gel Medium based, shiny and very thin ones. Wipe  some paint with baby wipe as shown and let it dry. I initially used Limelight, Sheer Copper and Lagoon, but later I added some more colors over the first layer.

3. Tear a couple of paper rectangles and glue them with non permanent glue on the top right corner and the low left corner (this will be the place for the shipping info). Add a bit of  Tangelo paint around just to wet the edges of those rectangles and add  black embossing powder over the wet edges. Heat emboss the powder.

4. Peel off the paper rectangles and this is what we have now: one layer painted envelope.

5. Grab your favorite VLVS stamps and stamp them over the envelope with black Archival ink.

Actually this ink was the last one I tried over the sample piece. I tried pigmented ink  and it didn't work over the glossy paint. Then I tried solvent ink- BIG NO! Then I tried die inks- different brands- and it was still a mess. The last one left- ARCHIVAL- made the job.

6. As the next step I added a few stencil strokes with white Whipped Cream Chalk It Up ESF paint over the Stencilgirl stencils and added a few more VLVS images to make it look finished. I used stencil with the words with meaning: like SECRET over the front and Inside Out on the back  and not just lovely splashes.

7. Finally, as I didn't like the colors too much, I added a few layers of another colors of the same kind of semi translucent  Ann Butler's  Iridescents paints, more in pinks/blues, such as Lipstick, Orchid  and Ocean Surf  and as you see the images are still seen and the color  looks more interesting.

All you need is Time layout

This is a lo made around the single photo of a clock (my living room one). I made it in Mixed Media form and made the title as " All you need is... time". I used 4 different CC cardstocks both for the basic background one and for round embellishment pieces. I added some 7 Gypsies numbers and tags . All background was misted with 3 TA colors and I used a couple of stencils (such as clock etc.) with gel medium so after misting the colors are still transparent.I made a journalling strips by cutting one single tag and also misted the whole page over with white Chalk Chalkboard paint mist.

Fun circles card with TPD

 Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new post with a card I made for Two Paper Divas stamp company.
As bright and colorful  this card looks, it's still one layer (with 3 circles over) simple card made with one TPD stamp set and some " home made" stamping material.
I used a mix of Gina K. and Stampin' Up dye inks with Two Paper Divas round stamp from the Silhouette Circles  set  REVERSED! I just stamped all those colorful circles with the backside of one of those fun stamps. The open circles were stamped with the  jar lid of old mist bottle. That's it. Use things you already have to make fun backgrounds.
Now I stamped 3 circles with TPD Silhouette Circles set , cut them with a die as don't have this size punch and glued them over with 3d foam glue.
Last, but not least: a few sequins were added over the card.
