So I am addicted. TOTALLY addicted to Tando chipboard mini printers trays and this is a new one, made in pure B/W, but all about Love. Things we love, things we cherish.
I used Robin's Nest most glittered black and white cardstocks, lots of Tando chipboards, lots of Creative Inspirations Paints embossing powders and some paints, some Epiphany Crafts goddies, some stamps, flowers, ribbons... I didn't use.... I used every possible crafting thing I have in black and white or can paint to those colors and is small enough to fit 6*6 tray.

So Pion Designs vintage papers and Prima flowers were this perfect match together with A2Z chipboards, Creative Inspiration Paints and embossing powders and some home die cuts.

Fancy Key stand

This wood piece is in my room for maybe 6 years. I bought it in Istanbul, Turkey for pennies and just forgot about it, as it happens a lot of times. But then, this Prima color January challenge was just perfect for the shape and this altered project was finally made. All papers, chipboards, flowers, blings,leaves, lace are Prima. I used my MS border punch for the paper lace, CLD dies for butterflies and Epiphany Crafts Round Tool , bubble and charm for the vintage clock on the edge. Am I going to hang our keys on this stand? Not sure taht it can be really used, too delicate, but lovely.

Sleeping Beauty

Sometimes the old journaling you made is so much loved that you use it again on another page. This happened with this page's journaling when I've seen this Sleeping Beauty title from A2Z Scraplets.

So I made this page about my girls still living in a fairy tale world and feeling my a Sleeping Beauty and please read it to understand the mood of this page.

The whole page is Prima based, but the A2Z chipboard corner and some J. Bowlin script paper, wood clock and plastic buttons.

The green frog is a part of journaling.

The title was inked a bit with brown ink, heat embossed with brown embossing powder and covered with Ranger's 3d glaze. The pink branch is a pure recycling, got it on some wedding table with some candies.

I enter this to Scrap the girls monochromatic challenge- also I have this green frog, but it's all about it in journaling.

Sometimes, not so often, I make clean and simple crafts and this is one of those times. This simple card was made for Moxie Fab " Use something from the kitchen" challenge and I used the tooth picks. I actually made pencils from them and it was a great add of color too as this card is a but too Kraft.

I used Core'dintaions embossed cardstock, Spellbinders set, a chipboard and stamped sentiment and the book paper and a colored strip was Glitz.

I also made it for Clearsnap inspiration challenge- mostly the mood and colors.

Mt new clean and simple style cards and I love it! I think I need a rest of those messy and shabby projects, so I made this one as a most possible CAS card. This Epiphany Crafts Square Shape punch with bubbles was just perfect and I made this check board and then the stickers - LB- title and added Eyelet outlet brads and a real playing card.

Just a card, made for Bo Bunny recipe challenge and for Clearsnap inspiration- dotted paper, chipboard, ribbon and 2 buttons- all but chipboard are theirs and I added this Prima flower and Epiphany Crafts buttons and a charm, made with Epiphany Button tool and Round 14 Circle tool with BB papers.Clearsnap chalk inks used for stamping and inking around.

My Robin's nest glitter garden

Hello, my dear Robin's Nest friends ! Irit is here again with my first post during my second term on this fantastic team.

This time I decided to show you how you can make your own glitter garden, using Robin's Nest most gorgeous glitter cardstocks and glitter chipboards.

The base of this project is this cheap acrylic frame and I actually covered it with home die cut flowers and leaves.

Products used here:

Acrylic frame

Robin's Nest products:

Glitter Chipboards:red, lime green pink, yellow

Glitter cardstock: Glitter White on white swirls, Glitter Pink on Pink swirls,Classic Roses, Cindy Loe Stripe

Dew drops:Sun Shower, B/W with Silver

Other products: Sizzix flower and leaves dies, EK Success flower and leaves punches

Chipboard butterfly (A2Z Scraplets)

Creative Inspiration Paints: Mellow Yellow, Sunshine, Rustic Red, Evergreen, Citrus

Fancy Pants swirl and flowers stamps

Staz-on white ink

How I did it:

1. Stamp some flowers and swirls with Staz- On over acrylic frame top. As you can see only the small portions of it are seen after I covered it with all flowers and leaves.

2. Die cut and punch lots and lot of flowers, leaves and swirls from all papers and glitter chipboards. Use dies to cut your glitter chipboards and punches for cardstock and paper, as chipboards are too thick for punches. Assemble your flowers and begin to glue them over the frame. Fist glue the swirls, then some big flowers, then add leaves and small flowers and try to make it to look as a random collection.

3. Glue dew drops as your flower centers: make a small center flowers over the big flowers and add just one drop over the small ones. Add Tear drops as your leaves over the small leave branches.

4. Now for the painting. As the glitter was too bright, I decided to soften it with a bit of water colors, so I added some light paint layer over the chipboard flowers. The white glitter cardstock was just perfect for resist painting, so I painted over the white flowers and then cleaned the paint from the glitter parts using a baby wipes.

Finally I added this chipboard huge butterfly, painted and glitter covered and my shiny garden was done.

And for the final project

This new page was done very quick, it just " made itself"after I just developed a bunch of new photos of my DGS Omer. This photo was taken in his Doctor's office when I took him there with a severe eye infection and he still had a great time eating his beloved bananas. So Glitz mostly- paper, transparency, layer paper,stickers, but also some Epiphany Crafts goodies (Round 14 tool and bubbles, Felt flower), Tando Creative chipboard corner, lots of Prima flowers, Tim's key and home die cuts, covered with white paints and sparkle glitter.

My very clean and simple page made for Ruby Rock -It inspiration challenge(I was mostly inspired by colors and kind of a quilt patterns) and just because I was in this clean and simple mood after crafting a lot of shabby projects for all my DT work for January and this is a very first lo made just for challenges. 12 squares are punched and embossed, I added some brads for the things my DN Tamar loves- music, paint and be in time.I also made some journaling cluster with Elle's studio products on the top. Some border punches were a must to use too and that's it. Simple and frugal fun.

As you all maybe noticed, I am in love with those Tando Creative mini printers tray and this is my 4 or 5 th one. But this time I have the most perfect vintage papers to use with: Pion Designs ones.

Making wall art or just walls

Hello , My dear creative friends! Irit is here and this time we are going to make some Wall art, or actually just some wall patterns, using those simple and cheap office stickers together with our gorgeous Creative Inspirations Paints.
I made a few different samples of possible walls- all ATC size and one finished ATC just show your how you can use your walls after they are done.
Product list:
Creative Inspirations paints: Chocolate, Beige, Garnet, Sunshine
Office stickers: permanent and non permanent ones
And now to work:
1. Painted permanent stickers wall
Add some small permanent stickers over your cardstock building a wall pattern.

Cover the whole pattern with a lot of paint. As our stickers are the regular paper, they catch the paint faster and better (the ATC is part glossy), but still all the cardstock is paint covered.

2. Wall made with non permanent stickers.
I used those big printable stickers, torn and added as a wall pattern. After the whole piece was painted, I just peeled those stickers for this wall look.

3.Misted wall
This time I made a bit of a homemade mist with our sunshine paint and misted the permanent stickers to make my Yellow brick road. The black spots were made with some black ink drops

And my final ATC project- I made the red edges with Garnet paint and stamped with Black ink over the wall

Wings

A2Z Scraplets January new release is something you need to see !!! The most gorgeous chipboards- all kinds and sizes and this 12*12'' Butterfly frame in in my personal opinion the best of the best.

As the frame is bare brown chipboard, first I covered it all with white gesso, then, after it was dry , I added a fine mix of pastel colors from Creative Inspirations Paints with a sponge.

The next step was to cover the whole frame with Clear Embossing Ink (Watermark) and to heat emboss it with Fine Clear Embossing Powder (Creative Inspirations Paints powders). For the final touch I inked it around with Clearsnap brown ink.

Click on the close up photo to see this shiny look of the frame.

I used Kaisercrafts papers here and their sketch too- the round one inside the frame, not trimming needed and I hand cut all those flowers and layered them around.

Journaling tag was stamped with Inspired by Stamping Butterflies stamp set and all stamped and heat embossed butterflies came from the very same set too.

Some other embellishments used here: Kaisercrafts wood lock, border sticker and small letter stickers, Prima pearls and AC vinyl alphas for a title.

This card set was made for WOW Embossing Powders Winter 2012 CHA booth and was my very first WOW project

I used this CALL ME stamp set from WOW and each card was made with a different phone on it, but with the same border patterns and die cut stamps

Small and very simple Pretty Little Studio lo- all embellishments are home made

I made those flags from patterned paper, those rounds with PLS scalloped small tags and Epiphany Crafts Round 25 bubbles- no tool needed for those beauties. The round circle with journaling was made recycling the white plastic left after your Wonder Tape is gone. Keep those plastics- they are just great for recycling to some embellishments

Paint your shiny garden

Hello, dear artistic friends! Irit is here with my second January tutorial and this time we are going to use some embossing powders over painted chipboards
Here is the product list for this project:
Creative Inspiration Paints: Garnet, Fucsia, Blush, Evergreen, Lime
Flower and leave shaped chipboards (I used Tando Creative ones, but you can die cut yours at home)
White gesso
Clear and yellow embossing powders
Heat gun
And now let's get fun
1. Cover all bare brown shapes with white gesso and let it dry. White shapes doesn't need to be covered with gesso.

2. Paint your leaves with 2-3 shades of greens, add some clear embossing powder over the wet paint

Clear powder covered, not heated yet

3. Heat the powder- you get some bubbles from the heated paint, but I just love the look.

4. Cover the flowers (they are white and don't need any gesso) with red and pink paint

5. Add some yellow embossing powder over the wet paint

6. Heat the colored powder with your heat gun

And now just arrange those painted ad embossed beauties over your project

This is just a portion on my very new LO made for CHA, so I will post the whole one later.

Today is the day and all 4 new January Inspired by Stamping stamp sets are released and ready to be shipped to you!

First of all I want to share the stamp set I used for my blog hops

Say " Hi" to this cute Be My Valentine stamp set and run to buy it as you only have about a month to make your Valentine projects.

And this is my final project made with this set: Valentine gift tag

I used the frosted acrylic heart shape was the base, stamped on acryl with white STAZ-ON, paper pieced the bear and made him a nice outfit, heat embossed balloons and a sentiment and then added all possible pink embellishments: ribbons, brad, lace, twine, buttons and covered the back with Webster paper.

I think it is very cute and pink and Valentine gift tag..

Pion Designs is a Swedish paper company with the most beautiful vintage paper lines and they asked for guest designers with an option to became a permanent designer later. As I am mostly this shabby/vintage artist (unless I want to try some other style) , I answered their call and they picked me as one of their designers for the next few month.
You can see it here in their blog and I am so thrilled to design with some so much well known big companies designers (just check the names, you know some of them from some big manufacturers blogs)
The paper lines are just outstanding and I am so happy to design with some of those papers , tags and vintage images.

Inspired by Stamping January release- Day 2

Hello again, my dear blog readers! Today I am going to show you my second project made with Inspired by Stamping January stamp release.

This time I made a " Welcome home " card, just to show all possible uses of this stamp set (I think you can figure the theme of our new release)

I used 4 different stamps from my set, all heat embossed and hand cut and this time I made a messy, kind of Mixed Media card, with dry acrylic embossing, inking chipboard, faux stitching, border punching and clustering all pieces together.

Hello, by dear blog friends! January is here and Inspired by Stamping new release too.

Today I am going to show you my first project made with one of 4 most gorgeous new stamp sets. I got one set only, and OMG- I just need them all! YOU TOO!

So my first project is this magnet made with 3 stamps and a ribbon connecting them and I just stamped them, heat embossed them all, hand cut and made this easy and cute useful project.

New card made for Moxie Fab Map challenge and I used WOW Embossing Powders " Call me" stamp set and Wow Clear Glossy Regular embossing powder over black pigmented ink. The Photo was done with two layers and hand cuts of the image. the sentiment was also hand cut and layered over 2 layers die cut from Cherry Lynn Designs and map paper is from Glitz Designs.
I used the old and forgotten stamp frame from MM and EK Stamp punch for the border.

I still can't believe I am a part of this fantastic team with so many well- known names on it! But I am, I really am and I hope you like this shiny BON VOYAGE card I made

I made the card panel with entire stamp and clear embossing ink and then heat embossed it very generously with California Sunshine powder. Then I made a back panel bigger than the card, punched it and scored it to cover the front. Holes were made for a bow and actually the card was done. I added this EC charm and made a sentiment with AC Thickers. But as those letters were black, I decided to make some highlights and added some Red Cable Car embossing powder over it and then some Clear Glossy powder too, and bingo- it made it glossy, high and a bit brown as I wanted it to be. Just a charm: add some embossing powders over your printed chipboards and alter them to fit the colors

I used some new technique of folded background paper inside a cut circle and I really love the result.

Shiny beaded snowflakes

Hello, dear Creative friends! Irit is here again with my first January tutorial and this time I am going to show you how to use your " lost and not found" microbeads and micro glass beads over Creative Inspirations Paints with no glue for this nice and shiny effect.

Product list: for the finished project
Creative Inspirations Paints:
Ice blue

Micro beads- gold and silver

Ribbons, blings
White gesso
And now to work:
I made a few samples with tag shaped bare chipboards to show you the options on bead coverage.
Sample 1: Cover the bare chipboard with white gesso and let it dry.

You can skip this step if you have white shapes. Add a lot of Creative Inspiration paint

Now sprinkle your colored microbeads over the wet paint. Don't wait too much as we want to adhere the beads without using any glue.Let it dry.
Sample 1- Gold micro beads

Sample 2: Cover another piece with CI Paints and add glass microbeads (those are a real smallest possible glass chips) over the wet paint. Let it dry.

Sample 3: Cover the gessoed shape with a lot!! of paint and add some seed beads. I used 3-4 colors for this sample and we need the thick paint layer as those beads are bigger.

And now for my finished project- I used 2 kinds of microbeads and glass beads.

The upper snowflake on this project was made with clear glass micro beads.

The middle one was made with gold micro beads.

The lower one was made with silver ones.

Don't use too much beads, as we want to see this gorgeous paint color over the shapes.
The lower basic shapes under the snowflakes on this project were covered with gesso and the same paint without beads as they were brown bare chipboards (snowflakes were white).
Now adhere the snowflakes as shown, add some blings and connect the ornament with ribbons.
I know, the tree is gone for now, but there is always the next year for this gorgeous ornament

New altered and recycled project: this is an I-PHONE box made as a box for small handmade books. Only one book is finished, but there is some place for 2 more.

Now for the quick tutorial for this project

1. Cut four 4*4'' pieces from all 4 cardstocks and glue them from the left upper corner- Winter to right upper for Spring to right lower for Summer and Fall as the last one.

2. Cover your frame with a bit of distress ink , add UTEE and heat with your heat gun. Cut a piece of white glitter cardstock and adhere under the frame. Glue your frame in the middle.

3. Cover all seasons words with the same ink and add 3d crackled glaze, let it dry. Do the same with 2012 and Fall letters as those are separates. Let them dry and then adhere as shown. Add a calendar tags in the middle with a pin.

4. Cover 4 bare trees with Glitter, let them dry. Adhere them as shown, still bare. Now take your Dew drops and begin to play with them as your leaves. No leaves for Winter. Some light ones for Spring. Lot of reds for Summer and some brownish for Fall, add some of those under the tree too as they are falling leaves.

Use Wild Flowers Dew Drops for Fall

5. Add a huge magnet or some hanger and your 2012 calendar is done.

I think this page is my best possible way to showcase those fantastic Robin's Nest products:

It was made with 5 different RN cardstocks and papers, Glitter Leaves die- cuts, Rub- ons, Stickers, Ribbons and Dew Drops. The only non RN are letters as Robin's letters are fantastic, but too small for the title I thought about.

And as for techniques: 2 different kinds of faux stithing- piercing and paint and scoring and inking;

hand cut papers, stamping , ribbon pleating, border punching and a nice journaling too.

The whole idea of this page was to show this global world we live in- this is an Austrian vacation, Italian coffee,my " Made in China" coat, my old made in Japan camera and an Israeli me.. This is what this title is all about- One global village we all live in.

And now I am just crossing my fingers for a Happy Mail from Terri as I really want to stay on this fantastic team!

Best of my chipboard projects for 2011

2011 is almost over and this is a summary time. So this a very first summary post I made to showcase my own most favorite projects and this time those are my Chipboard ones. The push to begin it early this year came form this Imaginarium chipboard company DT call and as I decided to try it (chipboards, my love!) and they asked for 10 most favorite chipboard projects- this was a great place to start my summary posts. So let's begin !

Project 1:

Altered mini printers tray: the tray is a chipboard and a lot of inside and ourside elements are made with chippies too
I love this project for days spent to make it. The whole tray and a cover are bare chipboards, the cirle frame made with inks and distress 3d glaze, the inside chips covered with distress paints and 3d glazes

Project 2: Mom to be

I love this lo for the great DDIL photo of my very fist grandson born 1/1/11 and for all kinds of chipboard uses: stamped and inked leaves, UTEE over ink title and alteration of English spelling I did, alteration with felt flowers and partial inking of bare letters

Project 3: So special

I like thid project for the use of a bare chipboard as a mask with mists and then using it as is - misted and colored. The title was made using the negative too- misted and faux stitched and the positive was covered with white enamel paint

Project 4: Fall banner

This project was made on a chipboard banner base- 2 layers and then another chip shapes added- the cage and the bird. I made a whole tutorial for this project- can be seen on my Tutorial page

Project 5: Mini printers tray - ABOUT TIME

My most beloved this year Tando product- mini tray , made as an altered piece and another chipboard swirl added on the bottom

Mixed Media lo made with a huge chipboard embellished after painting with distress paint

Made on chipboard spool shaped base with more chips on this fancy vintage tag.

The main interest of this wedding page is a title- made with inks, embossing powders and distress 3d glue and altered with a handmade flower

Paint and emboss tutorial

Hello, dear Creative friends! Irit is here again and this time we are going to learn how to heat emboss Creative Inspirations shiny paints.

Product list:

White bare chipboards- clouds and sun: Tando Creative

Blue ink : Quick Quotes

Yellow ink: Ranger

White paint: Plaid

Creative Inspirations paints: Light Yellow, Sea glass, Canary

Clear Embossing powder

Heat gun

Step 1: Ink your white chipboards with directly to the pieces inking, yellow for the sun and blue for the clouds. Let it dry.

Add a bit of white acrylic paint with fingers, random spots here and there over the clouds only. Let it dry.

Step 2: Still with your fingers add some Sea glass paint over the clouds, cover your white paint a bit. Add some clear embossing powder over the wet paint and heat it with your heat gun. Let it bubble as much as you want, then let it dry. Your clouds are finished.

Step 3: Add some yellow paints randomly and with fingers over your yellow inked sun. Add a lot of clear embossing powder and heat it a lot till you see bubbles and let it dry.

Step 4 and final: Adhere you painted shapes on your finished project, I made those shapes for this shiny and adorable page of my first and only grandson Omer.

Maya Road frosted heart shaped acrylic album, made as a gift for my son and his young family and called Love Archives. Mostly Pink Paislee products, stamped on acryl vintage stamps, lots of layers and lots of Creative Imagintaions stickers for my titles and journaling.
I decided to try Shop Pumpkin Spice shop DT CALL and the owner asked for " make me smile" items.
I am not sure what makes her smile, my son's lovely family sure make me smile and my very first granson makes me smile all the time. Kind of very happy smile!

Creative ways to alter stickers

Hello,my dear Creative friends! Irit is here again and this is my very first tutorial for 2012 new year.

This time I decided to alter the very cheap kid stickers with Creative Inspirations Paints and to show you how we can alter any kind of flat and simple stickers using our paints.

This is a sticker set I used- flat, silver and boring.

I would never use it as is and this is a reason it was in my craft room for years.

So to showcase this technique I decided to use the stickers over a clear acrylic piece.

I used a ranibow mix of paints and a small fine brush and colored the butterfly on the front.

Again, for the final project, I decided to make this acrylic deco, using the painted stickers front side.

The white swirls are stamps with white Stazon, I will try those stamps with our paints next time.

And as you can see- the final result is pretty and those "lost" stickers have texture and can be used on some real craft.

Now just run to buy some 49 cent sets and begin to play with them. But I am more then sure that you have a lot of them in your own craft room and never use them... So this is your time! Grab some Creative Inspirations Paints and make your stickers jump to another level!

Love folded card tutorial

My new tutorial for Quick Quotes Guest Designer for December- more in their blog
All product are from Quick Quotes company

Tutorial

Step 1:

Cut 2 squares 4'' size from QQT- CT300 cardstock, those will be your cover

Cut 3 squares 6'' sizes from QQT-CT 100 cardstock for the inside folds

Step 2: Fold 3 larger squares as shown to 4 equal parts and them one diagonal fold

Step 3: Glue all 3 folder squares as shown- one quarter overlapping

Step 4: Fold the upper part on the upper square as shown

Step 5: Fold the lower square the same way

Step 6: Fold the middle part inside as shown

Step 7: Adhere the smaller squares from Step 1 on the outer folds as your covers

Step 8: Adhere triangles and squares to embellish the inside of your mini as shown, using QQP- CT 200 cardstock from both sides

Step 9: Cut Letter L quote into two pieces and glue it with 3d foam glue over the yellow side of the cardstock. Adhere over the cover and add one small frosted butterfly. You mini is done. Add photos, quotes and embellishments inside as you wish

Over the rainbow tutorial

My weekly tutorial for Creative Inspirations Paints and this week it's about making a paint Rainbow.

Product list:

Creative Inspirations Paints: Garnet, Orange, Sushine, Spring Green, Royal Blue, Sapphire, Royal Purple

Old gift card or credit card

Glossy cardstock- use a regular glossy photo paper or some special Ranger brand

Kraft cardstock

Letter stickers (MLS)

Cream cardstock (Core'dinations)

Border punch (Martha Stewart)

Colorful twine (The Twinery)

And now let's do it:

Step 1: Add 7 big drops of rainbow colors on the top of your glossy paper piece. Drag them down using an old gift card or used credit card. Don't stop and don't go back, make it just once if you want it look like a real rainbow.

This photo is just to show the movement, I used just a bit of paints and this is a reason for not so full of colors rainbow

Step 2: Make a small Kraft card with nice border using your punch, trim a cream cardstock to fit it and then trim our rainbow panel to a right size and glue it over

Add letter sentiment and tie 7 twines over it as shown.

Boot Snowflake ornatment

Hello, my dear Robin's Nest friends! Irit is here again and this time with my altered Winter boot ornament.

I made it as my freehand shape of a boot from Glitter Water Swirl backside paper and added 2 blue strips cut from Winter Snowflakes paper for the bottom and the upper part of my boot.
The basic boot was dry embossed with Dots and Spots embosser- you need to make it twice as the shape is bigger then the embosser is and try not to overlap the embossing.
Glue the blue strips, add some white pen faux stitching too.
Now use you Marvy Uchida Snowmaker and your heat gun to make this snow under the upper strip.
Glue 3 Glitter Snowflakes with silver Dew Drops from Early Dawn set as a center on the top of the boot.
Glue one long strip of crystals as shown and a thin Blue ribbon under the snow line.
Ink the piece with some blue ink around and glue a lot of random silver Dew Drops over the embossed spots.
Add the hanging ribbon with a Snowflake ribbon from Blue frost Ribbon set bow on the top.
If you are a beader as I am- make some crystal homemade embellishment and glue it over the boot. If not- use some premade one or add another snowflake.
Enjoy your ornament made with Robin's Nest most gorgeous winter products.

For now you can see my pin, made with stamping on shrink plastic and then embellished with small and frugal nail crystals. I stamped those balloons with Staz- on ink on milky plastic and the sentiment was stamped on clear one and then colored on the back with Creative Inspirations Canary paint. This can be a lovely hand bag add on or just a pin to use... Remeber- stamps can do wearable art too.

This is my first project made as Quick Quotes company December Guest designer and this time I made a page with ny DD fabulous photo and the most fabulous QQ products. I made a lot of hand cuts, a handmade flower, usued border punches, inks from QQ to ink the frosted clear shapes and added an Epiphany Crafts button over my handmade flower.

Duster can do art

Hello, dear Creative Inspirations Paint friends! Irit is here again with my first December tutorial and this time I am going to show you how to use the Pressed Air or Duster to make some lovely artistic backgrounds.

This technique is well know as an Alcohol inks technique, but as you can see , it works just perfectly with our water based paints and a same Home store pressed air. So get you one- it will clean your PC as well!

Products used for this project:

Creative Imaginations Paints: Plum, Emerald, Spring Green, Gold

Glossy paper- I used the simple photo paper, you can use Ranger if you have it.

Pressed Air or Duster

Solid color cardstock- I used the same Burgundy color (DCWV)

Scalloped border punch

Fancy brad (Paper Studio)

Sentiment sticker (MLS)

And now for a work:

Step 1: Add a small water drop to you paint as we need it to be watery. Don't add a lot, just one drop is fine. Spread 4-5 drops of your watery paint over a glossy paper strip and spread it with the pressed air. Do it until the paint is dry, can take 3-4 times

Step 2: Add another color of watery paint- I used Emerald over the same glossy paper and use your Duster again

Step 3: Add 2 more colors- I used Light Green and Gold and use your Duster over them again. 3-4 colors are just fine, more can give you some messy and brown look.

You background is done and note make a project with this background. I made this small mini card, using a border punch for the edges ,then trimmed my background and added a strip for the sentiment and a brad for the finished touch.

As we are Jewish and don't celebrate X- mas, I made a little kid's craft- very easy and quick place cards for any family party.

I used the blue shades from Antique Store paper collection as Hanukkah fits those colors, but actually you can use any colors tou want, as faras they are Pretty Little Studio ones (lol)

So here is this fast project- make it with your kids!

Now a few step tutorial for this project:

1. Cut a circle to fit the Bottle cup, don't need to be perfect as we add ribbon inside and it covers any problem with a circle. Glue it inside the " tray".

2.Glue some ribbons on the outeside too as shown

3. Make 3 strips of patterned paper and cover the spools as show, make a flag shape on the end.

Add names using small letter stickers

4. Make 3 Round epoxies with EC tool, gluw them to the vintage settings and then glue it over the spools. Your project is done and you can add as many family members as you wish with more spools.

After the meal just keep all place cards on the meatl tray for the future use.

Snow in Israel is a real attraction. It's snowing here about once in 5 years and in the high places only.

The snow that make it possible to build a snow man? Once in a lifetime. So this photo- 12 years ago- is a reason I could use those gorgeous Robin's Nest products and to make this page.

This new page was made with Pretty Little Studio Sketch #4 and as always I take those sketches a bit unscripted. So here is my take of it: AC cardstock, PLS Check Mate (Be my Valentine collection) paper, Treasures (Antique Store collection), 8 calendar tags. As I used April before, I just added the small photo bteween March and May.. The mixed title was made with AC foam Thickers and Glitz alpha stickers. The charm is Bo Bunny and I made some handwrite journaling.

Very simple page and still great colors with all those calendar tags.

Tando Creative mini printer's tray are just the best ever thing I met for a while. This new chipboard altered mini tray- 6*6'' only comes with a chipboard cover and looks like a book.

So it took a whole day to alter it- and I am very pleased with this shabby result.

Now for the techniques etc.

The front cover- Pink Paislee papers, gesso, inks, TH meter stamp heat embossed. Tando Creative round frame chipboard- inked and 3d crackled glaze covered. The spine: TH grungeboard, embossed and painted with metal paint. CLD lace border- die cut with lught brown paper bag andinked. TH metal corners, Maya Road lace, Prima flowers and blings, Kaisercrafts wood clock

Inner cover: TH stamps clustered on the cover, Tando Creative book plate covered with crackled paint, TH meter and stitching stamps heat embossed, Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Round tool 25 with vintage images

The tray: Crackled paint, stamping on fabric, paint on metal, stamping and 3d glazing, another EC round epoxy, lot's of Pink Paislee papers, die cuts and lots of embellishment.

All inks- CLEARSNAP, including 4-5 new Donna Salazar mixed media ones I got for my win from this company- fantastic inks, good coverage, long drying time, can be heat embossed with powders.

Out of my shabby or cute style, I decided to make a Mixed Media page, playing with a lot of textures such as tussue papers, paints and mists.

Do you see those falling TITANIC misted letters on the background? It was a mistake, as I thought to use them for my title. Then I decided to leave them in memory of...

I also misted Pink Paislee wood shapes, Maya Road chipboard letters, made this film strips backgrounds and my DD and her friend were posing the movie on their Thailand vacation.

Hello dear painters! Irit is here again and this is my last tutorial for this month as Kassy will be here onece a month with her delicious monthly tutorials.. I will be resting or maybe experimenting with some new exciting technoques.

This time I decided to show you 2 techniques of using Creative Inspirations paints on acrylic pieces.

First one is a clear acrylic piece, painted and then dry embossed and the second one is frosted acrylic piece , first embossed and then painted.The background was done using another great technique, but you have to wait till my next post to see the process, as this technique needs its own tutorial.Or I need a better weather/light for this one.

So here we go!

Products list:

Piece of clear acrylic, I used the inside of this frugal small Ikea frame, but any acrylic piece will do.

Frosted acrylic butterfly (Maya Road), you can also make your own die- cut at home

Embossing plates- you don't need to use the ones I worked with, any embosser will be fine

Creative Inspirations Paints: Lavender, Sage, Mango

Background patterned paper, any delicate kind of it, I used Prima

Ribbon, pin, clear crystal

Step one: This is a background step I am not going to teach this week ,so just mix all 3 paints from the list and add them randomly with a wide brush or your fingers. The great thing with our paints is this waterbased issue, so you can use your fingers and just wash them later. Let the background dry a bit. You can see the texured side you painted, but we will use the backside as we want this project to be smooth

Step 2: Adhere the background patterned paper to this piece, painted side on the back, smooth non painted side on the front and dry emboss it as shown.

Step 3: Emboss your butterfly with another embossing plate

Step 4: Paint the butterfly using some cloth over the embossed areas only, this time we want to see the embossed texture, but make is only over the raised areas.

Use two less seen colors from the three we used for the background. I used Sage and Mango as Lavender was a dominant on the background. Make a thin painted edge with one of the colors around the painted butterfly and then around the whole acrylic piece. Let it dry. Add some crystals over the butterfly.

Make a bow and tie the butterfly using a pin (the hole is there)

You project is done! Enjoy it!

I really love to work with Echo Park papers. They are bright and fun and so much fit my " not so shabby " mood (also some lines are pretty much shabby). And as I just bought the Victoria Garden and Happy Days products, here are my new page made with both lines.

The first is this Happy Day page with my dear grandson's lovely photo. Lot of clustering and some border punching, some rule of 3 (stars, arrows) and I think that this page is very much me.

Two tricks used here: using the paper line name as a frame title and using the paper strip back side as a strip - as I used the whole page for the base, this was the only option to add the same paper over the page.

And a fast tutorial for this page:

1. Cut a Numbers cardstock to 10*10'' amd make a daisy border frame with the border punch. Adhere it in the middle of your red basic cardstock yellow side up.

2. Die cut a doily from Little Flowers cardstock, cut it to halves. Add the green premade frame over your photo and adhere the photo over 2 doily halves as shown.

3. Make to border strips with Circle punch from Retro paper and glue them under your photo- one from each side of the same paper. Cut the notepaper jouenaling tag from Jouranling cardstock and glue it under the photo's left edge, add the Special sticker over it.

4.Make 1'' strip from Numbers cardstock , cut the edge like a banner, glue it under the photo numbers up, add the black and white sticker strip.

5. Cluster your chipboard embellishments as shown, add some star sticker, the star tab and some flower stickers over the border circled strips. Use the red dotted strip from the paper name strip, adhere the red arrows chipboard over it, add your Happy Day chipboard title and glue one yellow flower sticker over.

5. Cut the paper line name and glue it over your photo frame. Add some white pen jouranling on the lower left corner- Just a name and a date.

New multiphotos page (O, so unusual for me.. ) with lots of Epiphany Crafts goodies.

Read the juornaling- it's about this weather that was changing all the time, from summer to almost and also about this stupid hat the group was asked to wear.. I also used Hero stamps for some postage stamps on the top of this page, die cut stamp shapes, made a banner and some distressing. Finally it was a great way to incorparate 11 photos on one page.

My DH on Chinese iced lake and it was freezing cold there too.

Smell of Japan with Creative Inspirations Paints

Hello, dear painters! Irit is here again and this time with my own mixed technique of making a background grid with Wonder Tape, paints and microbeads and finally to make a Japanese style tag...

OK, kind of.. I don't have any Japanese stamps or products, but I am sure that they are known for this Cherry blossom festivals.

Here is our product list

Cardstock white tag- Ranger, but any tag will do

Pink cardstock- American Crafts, but any pink will do as we are going to paint after all

Wonder tape-1/8''

Creative Inspirations Paints: Ivory,Fuchsia, Blush

Microbeads- silver, any brand you have

And for embellishments: Sacura punch (EK), crystals and pearls, ribbons

Step 2: Peel the orange tapes and sprinkle some silver microbeads all over the peeled glue. Add as much

as you want till the full coverage.

Your background is done and you can see the beaded background on the final project as I just forgot to take my photo on this stage of crafting.

Step 3: Punch a lot of Sacura flowers from the white or light pink cardstock. Add some pink paint over. Glue your flowers randomly over your tag, I adhered them on the places with bad microbeards coverage, mostly junctions, let them dry. Add some crystals and pearls as your flower centers. Add some clear glaze to keep those pearls and crystals on their place as this " self adhesives" are non adhesives after all.. LOL

Tie a few ribbons and twines inside your tag

Your tag is done!

Now try this technique with another colors and different embellishments. like blues and stars, browns and leaves etc.– works great!

Love anniversary card

Made with Pretty Little Studio Ad #2 inspiration card- I really loved this wood pins and red colors on the inspiration, but decided to move to another field and here it is- love card.

I used AC brown cardstock as my base, PLS Antique store collection Timeless and Charm papers, Anniversary mini flash cards , Antique Store banner and hand cut the nini inages from this paper collection cover .. (Recycling me, as always) I added this number 20- for years - tag from Bingo tags Numbers and again this Love sentiment is an old recycled item. MM bling circle, some simple twine and a ribbon - and this fun card was done. And yes, I used office staples for the finish.
