One day u gotta dance lo

This page was published in Feb 2011 issue of SNR magazine
This lo was done with my own very old photo

I was I very fat non dancing baby- and some decades later I am petite zero addicted to dancing (falk- ballroom- anything...) person. So this page was done with my own baby photo and this title.. And as it should be with old b/w photos I did it with this shabby " modern vintage" style-
grey paper, lazer die cut paper, recycling old Prima packaging, monochromatic lo.
I did it with Crop divas sketch and used some kind of hidden journaling on OA tag, one bingo card, Prima flowers on recycled book punched scallop, used laces, ribbons, pearls, blings, inking, distressing, 2 colors stamped and heat embossed butterfly, bare kraft chipboard, altered Prima canvas alphas, another MM alphas.. Did I forget something? Maybe.. Just enlarge by click and see it all..
I also won this sketch challenge- as I was the only one in the challenge- still..
And it was a fast one (again- the only thing that takes time was a butterfly- and this one was premade by me .. )
And a tip: when you scrap a vintage monochromatic page - decide on color (other than kraft- balck- white- cream base ) and take out whatever you have with this only color- like I did with this blue one. Than use some of the items- not all of them- and keep all others in one place for the next same color page. It works perfecly. Time is money we say.. So next time you save time..
And for other challenges - after the sketch and a title:
Antique- for Method playground
Recycling- the b/w dots are the packaging and the book paper under the flower too- for Challenge up your life
B/w and one more color for Magical crafts
Scrapbook page for Little paper shop
Antique- the photo is almost 50 years old f0r Method palyground
Buttons for ECP challenges
Distressing for KLstamps n' scraps
Flowers and pearls for Cinema saturday
Recipe- tag, 2 buttons, ribbon and a bow for Character cafe
Buttons, ribbon, lace for Paper cutz

Bon voyage 3 card

This card was a winner for Germany challenge on Sisterhood of crafters- thanks!!
This is the 3 rd and not the last card from this "post cards" line.
I did it with Unscripted sketches #56 sketch for my DT job for this week and with the same concept as my France and USA cards- but for Germany..
Why Geramny? As there is a Germany challenge on the web this week and why not? I visited there for 3-4 times and loved the nature, the people and the beer (oh- not the food!!)
The most problem was to find something for this German things- I didn't find any stamps (I even have some for Australia- but no Germany at all)
So I did this hand drawn, hand cut , glittered and heat embossed beer glass and added some
" black forest " buttons and Berlin's wall (still there- but open..)
I also used Prima film tape , Ek castle metal pin and some ribbon here.
2-3 more postcards to go (I think England- Italy and China will do these line)
And as for the challenges:
Favorite drink- beer is the only alcohol I drink- so it's for Freshy brewed challenges
Make your own embellishment for Kah- wink- e- dink

Bon voyage 2 card

This card was publushed in SNR August 2010 issue
This card made TOP5 at Get sketchy challenge- thanks
This card is the second in the " line" of Bon voyage" card I decided to make- and this one is for USA travellers.
I used these red- blue- white flag colors, added some stars (brads and buttons)
It was done with the same pattern as the Paris one- the distressed ink cardstock as the base and Unity stamped postcard as the middle base with some focal point image on the top.
This one is pure masculine one- the colors, no flowers and all this girly ribbons, sparcles etc.
And these was done with Get sketchy sketch for some more challenges too
Sketch for Sketch and stash- the stamp set from TPC studio is a year old
Stars and stripes for Crafty catz

Twins- love story lo

This lo was published in August 2010 issue of SNR magazine
I was a Cropping Diva of the week for this page on Scrap simple blog- thanks!!

I was really productive today- 3 postcards and a page- and it's still 9 p.m. only- I think I am going to scrap another one.. I just realised that we took thousands of photos I never even checked- and they are great. So I need to finish the full box of what I have and than to recheck that ones again..
So this page was a fast one: I used the sketch from Scrap simple " as is"- it's a great sketch with hidden journaling block I like very much- also I didn't do the journaling yet- this needs a time and a muse. Than I saw this " crazy" colors I never use on Studio 313 challenges- I think this is a card blog- but still- 2 yellow- red and something pieces were screaming " use your BG paper" for this lo and I won this one randomly- more digi to grab- thanks!!
So I used these BG paper and transparency I got as my first real RAK almost a year ago form Jasmin after I won on her SIC challenge (later I did a full term in this blog DT)- and it's so shiny summer colors. All the rest was easy- no stamping or misting on this one, just clusters of cute embellishments, some home die cuts, a handle for the OA journaling block and reuse of J. Bowlin bingo packaging. I even opened a new pack of Thickers as I wanted to do the title in one single font and fast.
And for other challenges too:
Colors- lots of bright ones- for Crafty Ann blog hop challenge- I finished a hop but need a creation to do for it too
Not my comfort zone for Start me up- YELLOW? ME? and taking a sketch " as is"?
Love story for Creative promps
Scrappage for Little paper shop- I won this challenge randomly- thanks!

Bon voyage card

This card was  published in SNR August 2010 issue
I am back with my vintage cards- just in time for some Bon voyage cards- as the summer is here and lots of my friends are going abroad for vacations.
So this is the first in this Post cards seria's cards -will be more done today (Horray- after 2 days of vacation and one working day we have 2 days of weekend!! and my kids are still not home- now it's a bride shower for the girls)
So here it is : Unity postcard stamp ,
Tim Holtz Paris stamps , die cuts and metal charm, lace, twine, ribbon, some flowers and a bling

Monochromatic for Mamidoodles
Colors for Sugar creek

To my friend card

This card was featured today 5/21 on Impression Obsession stamps blog
This card was done as an experiment: no patterned paper card, 3 colors only, using background stamps to make some pattern, doing heart punched flower- just experimenting(all who knows me knows that I am not a card maker but a scrapper- I need space and lots and lots of layers and a huge title and some journaling- so card are just to try some techniques and than to take it to the pages.. )
But as always I found some challenges before I started and the first one was to do a card for a friend with IO stamps. I only have their 6*6 background ones- so I used 2 of them- leaves on black cardstock and heat embossing the white ink and than for the flower- with retro background and heat embossing too (colorbox white ink never dries)
I also used dry embossing folder with white cardstock and added some pearls on it (it was boring), cut a frame out of self made corrugated red paper with Spellbinders die and popped it with 3d foam glue dot. Then I did this flower with punched old book page, metal old tag, punched hearts and a brad. For the finish I used 2 Prima laces, one dotted ribbon, some cute buttons and a punched from a glitter cardstock tag. I was pretty out of my mojo for stamping the sentiment so I did it with small MM stickers.
I like the final result- also it's most probably will go for my own recycling- using the flower and the bow on the page- can't promise anything..
So now for the challenges:
IO stamp and for the friend card- for IO stamps challenge
3d for Charisma
Glitter and blings- the tag is glittered paper and bling- anyone can see it- for Digi doodle best shop-I won this one randomly- thanks!!
Old stash- the stamps are old- one used once only, the punches- even more old- for ABC
Make it yourself- paper, tag, flower- for Fab and funky
Recipe for Inky impressions- I have everything from the list but W.
Make your oun embellishment for KAH- WINK- E - DINK
Colors for Cowgirls
Black, white and one more color for Magical scraps
Sketch for Card patterns

Paper cake box

I never used templates- so this one was a trial and I loved it.. Really don't remember where I got this one- so credit to everyone and any one- I just found it once on the web ages ago.
My mom's birthday is in a week- the real present were bought during my trip to Morocco some days ago (the moroccan dress mom wanted and some other items too)- so this is a box for all these small items (key chain, necklace etc)
And as always it was done for lots of challenges (just an explanation how I manage to do so many challenges)- is very simple: I have a long list of challenge blogs in my own blog here- just scroll down to see it . So I scroll for all blogs before crafting and write down any single challenge I can possibly do- colors, theme, products, one sketch (you can't use more than 1). Sometimes I fix my ideas to fit some challenges, sometimes the craft piece fits the challenges without any efford- like " not a card", " gift" , altered item, recycling as it is what they ask for from the beginning.
Really easy- but takes some time- so I do it at night and never do the next day challenges- as the are changing before I finish the piece. Then I re-check all of these challenges as sometimes it changes after all a day before or closed for submission. That's it- anyone can do it as I do- also it really takes some of your crafting time. It's even very easy with lo-s as these challenges are mostly for 2 weeks or a month- so when I do a page I just check my lists and if anyone askes for lace I can always add some lace (not for boyish one.. ) or a button or some pearls as the challenge still runs ...
So here we are for this cake:
Sweet treat for Charisma
Sketch- ok- the main part of it- for Craft
Flower for Clearly inspired
Celebration for Sassy bling babes

Something special for Cute card
Flowers and blooms for Meljen's designs

He was my hero lo

This lo was published in August 2010 issue of SNR magazine

This lo was a GEM OF THE WEEK of 5/17 on Scrapbooking challenges blog- thanks!!
My DT challenge on GINGERSNAP CREATIONS was " read"- any kind, any way..
Also to use some letters stamp or some book page was an easy way- I decided to do a lo about a book.. And about " the book"- The Little prince by Antuane de Saint- Exepury was my ultimate choice and here it is- my He was my hero lo
My hero- both of them- the writer and a prince. I knew to quote every single page of this book - first the Russian translation, then the English and later the Hebrew one. I tried to read the French original- but my 3 years of highschool French was not enough- so I dropped the idea.
This is a pure non photo lo and here are the products:
AC light grey cardstock, Adornit pp(the sky), one stamp (" Draw me... ), paper rose, Pink paislee letters, some brads and lots of techniques.
I used some gesso and some recycled tissue paper for the " planet", pEper piecing of digi print for the prince,I printed the book cover on 5 languages,
used paints for the sea and the sky, distressed the alphas,
inked the covers, stamped the sheap and heat embossed it with dimentional white paint and did some journaling about the book I found on WIKIPEDIA
The digi cut of the plane is for the writer whose plane was missed over the sea in 1944.
And for the challenges:
